The parivrajaka yogas are determined by the most powerful planets. When these planets have suffered a defeat, the person will renounce the Parivraja (ascetic life) afterwards. H.H.Swami Jnanandaji ; Horoscope Analysis' Part-6

Horoscope Analysis of H.H. Swami Jnananandaji

The Saint and the Scientist (1896 – 1969)

Part – 6 (Sept—30—2009)

6. Jupiter : Sura-guru navame, manujothamo, bhavathi bhupathi-thulyasya; dhana, suchihi; vivdha kaavya-katha su-vinodabha, prachura keerthi-dharo, dhanavaan, sukhi = Jupiter in 9th house give him very excellent qualities and noble nature; he received respect from rulers both in India and abroad; he lived a majestic life; he had no dearth for money when he needed; he was highly learned in philosophy, religion and in science; he earned name and fame at international level; his father lived a long and a prosperous life. Addenda on Jupiter in 9th house : Now I describe the effect of Guru (Jupiter) in the ninth bhaava. Lagnath navame Guru-phalam. Ninth house is a very beneficial house (kona; Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana) and denotes faith, wisdom and divine worship; fortune or luck (bhagya), philosophy, religious and philosophical beliefs, meditation, intuition and forethought, places of worship, sacrifices and charity, father, preceptor (Guru), teaching, Dhanna, grand-children, dreams and visions, knees; communication with spirits, long journeys, voyage, air travel, higher education, foreign travel.

Effects : Views of renowned astrologers : 1) Saint-Astrologer Maharshi Parasara (Great grand-father of Pandavas and Kauravas of Mahabharatha epic; father of Maharshi Veda Vyasa) wrote : (sloka = Sanskrit verse) :-

GURU NAVAMAE, MANJOTHAMO, BHAVATHI BOOPATHI THULYA, DHANA, SUCHIHI, VIVIDHA KAAVYA, KATHA SU-VINODA, BHAGYA, KEERTHI, DHANAVAAN, SUKHI = IF GURU IS IN 9TH HOUSE & IS WELL DISPOSED, THE PERSON (HE / SHE) IS VERY NOBLE, BEST-NATURED, & BENEVOLENT; HE / SHE ENJOYS LUXURIES OF A KING & IS VERY RICH; HE / SHE IS AN EXPERT WRITER, POET & SCHOLAR; HE IS CLEAN IN HABITS & BEHAVIOUR; HE EARNS NAME & FAME; HE / SHE IS A MULTI-BILLIONEER; HE ENJOYS LOVE & PATRONAGE OF HIS FATHER; HIS FATHER ENJOYS HEALTH, WEALTH & LONGEVITY.

2) Bhrigu Sutras- by saint-astrologer Maharishi Bhrigu (3500 BC):-- Suthra (44) :-

Dhaarmikaha. Suthra (45) :-- Thapasvee, saadhutha, udaaraha, dhyaanikaha, pancha-thri-dasa varshe yajna, yaaga, krathu karthaha; pithru-deergha-aayuhu; sath-karmee, prasiddha; aneka-prathishtavaan; baju-jana-paalakaha, = The person will perform religious and charitable deeds, will take interest in meditation and will be pious and wealthy. He will perform religious ceremonies like yajnaas and yaagas in his 35th year. His father will be long- lived, he will be righteous and will receive respect and honour in many ways. He will give protection to many.

Explanation :- The above Sutras are very logical and at every point. Beneficial results have been attributed to Jupiter in the ninth house because as a natural benefic he improves all the good significations of this auspicious house. Still better results would be experienced if Jupiter is in his own sign or in his sign of exaltation. If Jupiter is in one of his own signs, by being lord of 9th in the 9th house, he will give rise to a powerful Rajayoga Maha Bhagya yoga giving name, fame and wealth to the native. If Jupiter is in his sign of exaltation (Cancer), the ascendant will be Scorpio and Jupiter will be in the ninth house as lord of 2nd and 5th, giving rise to an extremely powerful yoga Maha Bhagya yoga for prosperity and fame.

3)Brihath Jataka by Varhamihira (325 AC) :--The native will be a great devout and philosophical.
4) Phala-deepika by Manthreswara :--The native will be wealthy, blessed with children, famous, anxious to perform religious rites and a minister of the king.
5) Saravali by Maha-Raja Kalyana Varma (10th century A.C; king of Vyaghrapaada kingdom) :-- The native will worship family gods, will be learned, handsome, a minister of the king or commander of the army and a recognised leader.
6) Chamatkar Chintamani by Narayana Bhatt (5th century AC) :-- The person will own a palatial mansion. He will be a favourite of the king and devotee of priests / Brahmins. He will be loved by his near relations.
7) Jataka Kalanidhi : DHAARIMKA, THAPASVI, BAHU-PUTHRA, YAGNA-KARTHA, ANUSHTAANAPARA, DAANA-DHARMA-PARA, DHANIKA, PITHRU-DEERGHA-AAYU, DHARMA-KAARYA-ASAKTHA = When Guru is in 9th house, the person is noble, good natured, and just; he does penance to God; he will have many children, he does Yagnams ( religious rituals giving offerings to gods and angels), he does religious rituals regularly and with devotion and dedication; he is charitable & helps needy; he is very rich; his father enjoys comfortable and happy life and very long life-span; he has interest in noble deeds. If Guru is in his own house (Pisces or Sagittarius) or in his exalted house (Cancer), the benefits will be a thousand fold.

My views :-All the above astrologers are in agreement that Jupiter is very favourable to the native when he is situated in the ninth house. -------------------------------------------------

7. Saturn : Vyaya-sthithe Mande, daya-vihino, nidhano, vyaya-arthaha, mandalaso, neecha-janaanuyathaha; narogo, bhangogathaha; sarva-sokhyaha = He did not earn money for his self; he always faced huge expenditure for noble endeavours and had to seek the financial sources; his life in western countries made him to closely live with westerners; who according to vedic astrology are mlechas, devoid of religious conduct prescribed in Hindu scriptures. He did not enjoy life’s pleasures; he actually denunciated them and chose ascetic life. Addenda on Saturn in Saturn in 12th house :- Sutras 49 Pathithaha; vikala-angaha; Suthra 50 : papa-graha-yuthe nethra-chedaha; Suthra 51 : subha-graha yuthe, sukhee, su-nethraha, punya-loka praapthihi; Suthra 53 :- papa graha-yutha, naraka-loka praapthihi; Suthra 53 :- apathra-vyaya-kaari, nirdhanaha = If Saturn is in the twelfth house, the native will be sinful and will have affliction in some part of his body. If Saturn is associated with a malefic the native will have defective eye sight. If he is associated with a benefic the native will be happy, will have good eye sight and will go to heaven after death. If he is associated with a malefic the native will go to hell, will incur wasteful expenditure and will be poor.

Brihat Jataka: The person concerned will suffer degradation.

Phaldeepika: The native will be shameless, poor, childless and stupid and some part of the body of the native will be deformed.

Saravali: The native will be sinful, gossiper, hard hearted, mischievous and humiliated and will incur wasteful expenditure.

Chamatkar Chintamani: The native will be shameless and will have small eyes. He will be happy in foreign travels. If Saturn is in 12th as lord of the ascendant, the native will destroy his enemies.

My views : Saturn in 12th house gives only malefic results. (to be continued tomorrow). ----------------------------------- You can get my full particulars from my web-site : www.jyothishi.com. H.H.Swami Jnanandaji ; Horoscope Analysis; Part-5

Horoscope Analysis of H.H. Swami Jnananandaji

The Saint and the Scientist (1896 – 1969)

Part – 5 (Sept—29—2009)

4 Mars : Prablyasyam jatha, jattara-agne visheshaha, kopa-avesaha; sathru-vargo upasanthihi, satha-sango, sanga-budhi, nirananaam, gothra-puthre, santhrum samsthe prasuthau = He was plain and out-spoken, easily irritated at misbehaviour, and misconduct; he always had success over his enemies and detractors; he made friendship with scholars, philosophers and noble persons. He had no enemies, diseases and debts. Now I describe the effect of Mars (Kuja) in the sixth bhaava. Lagnath shashtame Kuja-phalam. Sixth house denotes enemies, cousins (jnaathis), sickness, diseases, nursing, food, service, employees, subordinates or servants, debts, cattle, tenants, enemies, maternal uncle, miserliness, intense anguish, litigation etc. Addenda on Mars in 6th house
Effects : Views of renowned astrologers : 1) Saint-Astrologer Maharshi Parasara (Great grand-father of Pandavas and Kauravas of Mahabharatha epic; father of Maharshi Veda Vyasa) wrote : (sloka = Sanskrit verse) :- PRAABALYAMSYA JATTHARA-AGNE, VISHESHAA ROSHA, AVESAHA, SATHRU-VARGA UPASANTHIHI,SADBHISSANGO, SANGA-BUDHIRNA RAANAAM, GOTHRAA, PUTHRA-ESAE SATHRU SAMSTHE PRASOOTHAU = IF MARS (KUJA) IS IN 6TH HOUSE, THE PERSON ( HE / SHE) HAS HUGE HUNGER & OVER-EATER; IS ILL-TEMPERED; HIS ENEMIES ARE DESTROYED / VANQUISHED / RUINED; HAS VERY ANGRY NATURE & IS EASILY-PROVOKED; HAS GOOD FRIENDS; HAS EXCESSIVE SEX-LUST.

2) Bhrigu Sutras- by saint-astrologer Maharishi Bhrigu (3500 BC):-- Suthra (46) :- prasiddhaha; Suthra (47) :- karya-samarthaha; Suthra (48) :- sathru-hantha, puthravaan, saptha-vimsathi varshe vivaha-prapathi, asva, udha adi vaahanavaan; Suthra (49) :- sathru-kshayaha; Suthra (50) :- paapa-kshethre, paapa-yuthe, veekshithe, poorna-phalavaan; Suthra (51) :- vaatha, soola adi rogaha; Suthra (52) :- Budha kshethra sthithe (yuthe) Kushta rogaha; Suthra (53) :- subha-graha, veekshithe, parihaaraha = If Mars is in the sixth house, the native will be famous, he will be successful in his undertakings, will defeat his enemies, will be blessed with children, will have marriage and acquire conveyances (horses and camels) in his 27th year and his enemies will cease to exist. If Mars is associated with or aspected by a malefic, the above results will be realised in their entirety but the native will suffer from rheumatism, pains etc. If Mars is posited in any of the houses owned by Mercury (Gemini or Virgo), the native will suffer from Leprosy. He will, however, recover from this disease if he is aspected by a benefic.
Explanation :-The sixth house is an upachaya house. It is believed that malefics like Mars and Satrun in upachaya houses give beneficial results. This seems to be based on the logic that malefics destroy the significations of the house they occupy. Mars occupying the sixth house destroys the evil significations of the sixth house and thus gives good results such as name and fame, success in undertakings, humiliation of enemies and the results are realised in full if Mars is associated with or aspected by a malefic. This view that Mars a malefic will give good results is supported by Jatakaa Desmarga which says- “Paapa-bhaava gruhaath, thri, sathru bhaavagaaha; kendra, trikone subhaha; veeryadhyaaha; khaluhu, bhaavanaath suhrudo, bhaavasyaa siddhi-pradaha” = This means that malefics are strong in the 3rd, 6th and 11th houses (Upachaya houses) and benefics endowed with strength in the Kendra and Trikona positions with respect to any Bhava prove friendly and auspicious to the Bhava and promote the advancement of the same. In Sutra 48 it is stated that if Mars is in the sixth the native will have marriage and acquire conveyances in his 27th year. We do not understand on what basis this prediction has been made because sixth house has nothing to do with marriage. On the other hand being 12th to 7th (house of marriage) a malefic planet in this house will prove injurious to marital relationships. The sixth house signifies diseases also. If Mars in the sixth is supposed to give good results, he should have freed the native from diseases also. But according to Sutras 51 and 52 Mars in the sixth house while eradicating enemies, will make the native suffer from various kinds of diseases. Whether logically relevant or not it is found in practice that Mars or any other malefic planet in the sixth gives rise to various kinds of diseases.

5. Mercury : Vyaya-sthithe sasi-nandane, vimala-murthy, dhana-varjithaha; para-kalthra dhane kuthihi; bhavath-sathatham akshara thath karathaam sraveth = Swamiji has magnetic personality; he never earned money for his own prosperity; he was financially helped by some rich and generous lady-followers for his noble endeavours; he wrote many books both in philosophy and science. Addenda on Mercury in 12th house :- Now I explain the effect of (benefic) Mercury in 12th house (vyaya; loss) = Lagna vyaye Budha-phalam. Twelfth house (malefic) denotes losses and impediments, restraint and limitation, waste and extravagance, expenses, drudgery and deception, investments, donations, charities, separation from family, going to far away places, sorrow and sin, misery and misfortune, poverty, imprisonment, secret enemies, confinement in hospital, association, fraud, scandal, disgrace, secret sorrows, success through occult affairs, the feet, the left eye, the left ear, comforts of bed, debts, life in a foreign place and Moksha (final salvation).

Effects : Views of renowned astrologers : 1) Saint-Astrologer Maharshi Parasara (Great grand-father of Pandavas and Kauravas of Mahabharatha epic; father of Maharshi Veda Vyasa) wrote : (sloka = Sanskrit verse) :- BUDHE VYAYA-GATHE, VIMALA-MOORTHY, DHANA-HINA, PARA-KALTHRA, DHANE KUTHIKI, BHAVETH AKSHARA THATH-KARATHAM VRAJETH = IF BUDHA (MERCURY) IS IN 12TH HOUSE, THE PERSON HAS ATTRACTIVE FIGURE / FACE; SUFFERS POVERTY & MISERY; LOSS IN BUSINESS; EARNS BY PLUNDERING THE RICHES, PROPERTIES OF SPOUSE (WIFE / HUSBAND) OF OTHER PERSONS; & WORKS AS A COMPOSER OF LETTERS IN A PRESS OR WRITER (CLERK) IN AN OFFICE. HE/SHE IS A MISER. HE SPENDS FRUGALLY FOR NEEDS ; HE / SHE LOSES PROPERTIES / RICHES DUE TO ENEMIES / COUSINS (JNAATHI). 2) Bhrigu Sutras- by saint-astrologer Maharishi Bhrigu (3500 BC):-- Suthra (76): Jnanavaan; Suthra (77) : Vitharana-seeli; Suthra (78) : Paapa-graha yuthe Chanchala-chitha; Suthra (79) : Nrupa-jana dveshi; Suthra (80) : Subha-graha-yuthe, subha-moolena dhana vyayaha; Suthra (81) : Svalpa-vidyavaan = The native will be learned. He will be fond of distributing things to others. If Mercury is associated with malefics, the native will have an unstable mind and he will have bitterness towards the king. If Mercury is associated with benefics, the native will incur expenditure on religious charities and will have meager education.
Explanation : - The twelfth is a house of loss or expenditure (Vyaya Bhava). The only good that the benefic Mercury does is to make the native spend money on religious charities and distribute articles of necessity to the needy.

7) Jataka Kalanidhi : JNANAVAAN, RAVI-YUTHE CHALA-CHITHAHA, BAGU-PRIYA-VARAHAA, KAAMA ATHURAA, ALPA-PUTHRA, ANYA-GRUHA-NIVAASI, MAATHRU-HANTHAA = When Budha is in 12th house, the person is very wise, if Ravi (Sun) is associated with Budha in the 12th house, he is mentally derailed; many people like him; very lusty ; his desire for women is insatiable; he has few children, he lives in others (rented) houses only, and he may murder his mother.

My views :- Malefic results have been attributed to Mercury in the 12th house (vyaya; loss) by all the above great saint-astrologers. ----------------------------------------------------------(to be continued tomorrow). ----------------------------------- You can get my full particulars from my web-site : www.jyothishi.com. Today is Vijaya Dasami; Dasara holy festival. I convey my readers of the blog and customers hearty Greetings. May Bhagavathi Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswathi bless us all with her Grace and bestow us all long life-span, good health, wealth, success and happiness!

Horoscope Analysis of H.H. Swami Jnananandaji –

The Saint and the Scientist (1896 – 1969)

Part – 4 (Sept—28—2009) Monday

3. Moon : Mihira bhavan samsthe ksheena chandre, krusa-anga; sathatha dhana viheenaha; krodhano, deena-vruthi apicha skalamoora sathgathaihi-reekshamano,bhavthi bahu daatha, dambikasyaa thyagseelaha = As a sanyasi he had a lean body but had stamina and strength; he had no craving for money; he was easily irritated when he found willful mischief or flaws in the conduct of his followers or students; he had spiritual mind dedicated to religion. He spent his money for charitable purposes; he helped many of his followers and students generously whe they approached him for monetary help. His mother died in his early boyhood; he earned name and fame as a noble person. Addenda on Moon in 12th house : Now I explain the effect of M00n (Chandra) in 12th house (vyaya; loss) = Lagna vyaye Sasii-phalam.

Effects : Views of renowned astrologers : 1) Saint-Astrologer Maharshi Parasara (Great grand-father of Pandavas and Kauravas of Mahabharatha epic; father of Maharshi Veda Vyasa) wrote : (sloka = Sanskrit verse) :-

MIHIRA-BHAVANSTHE KSHEENA-CHANDRE, KRUSA-ANGA; SATHTTHA DHANA-VIHINA; KRODHANO, DEENA-VRUTHI;APICHA SAKALA MOORTHAA SATH-GRAHAI EEKSHAMANO, BHAVATHI BAHU-DAATHA, DAMBIKASYA, THYAGA-SEELA NARAHA = IF WANING OR NEW-MOON IS IN 12TH HOUSE, THE PEERSON HAS WEAK & FRAIL BODY; VERY POOR, MISERABLE, ILL-TEMPERED, ANGRY DISPOSITION, & PURSUES MISERABLE PROFESSION. HE / SHE HAS EVIL MIND, HARMING NATURE, PHYSICALLY DISABLED (LOSS OF LIMBS); HAS NO MOTHER / OR MOTHER’S CARE & LOVE; & INCURS HEAVY EXPENSES & LOSS FOR EVIL PURPOSES. IF FULL MOON IS IN 12TH HOUSE & IS SEEN BY H.B.PLANET(S) , THE PERSON IS GENEROUS, CHARITABLE AND INCURS LOSSES OR HEAVY EXPESES FOR POMP / SHOW-OFF / NOBLE CHARITABLE PURPOSES OR ACTIVITIES.

2) Bhrigu Sutras- by saint-astrologer Maharishi Bhrigu (3500 BC):--

Suthra (70) :- Dur-bhojanaha, dush-pathra vyayaha, kopodbhava vyasana; Suthra (71) :- samrudhiheena, sthree-yoga-yukthaha, anna-heenaha; Suthra (72) :- Subha-graha yuthe, Vidwan, dayaavaan; Suthra (73) :- paapa-graha, sthru-graha yuthe, paapa-lokaha; Suthra (74) :- Subha graham, mithra-graha yuthe, sreshta-lokavaan = If the Moon is in the twelfth house, the native will be deprived of good food, will incur wasteful expenditure, will be of angry nature, will earn money by questionable means (like gambling, racing, trading in women etc), will suffer from diseases as a result of contacts with women (like venereal diseases) and will have no grains. If the Moon is associated with a benefic, the native will be learned kind-hearted, will have good friends and will go to heaven after death. If the Moon is associated with a malefic, the native will go to hell.
Explanation :- The twelfth house is an-inauspicious house and it is termed as the house of loss. Therefore Moon will lose all its good significations there and will be overcome by the evil significations of that house resulting in a miserable and immoral life for the native. The twelfth house being- twelfth to the first house (which signifies birth), represents the end of life. If there is evil influence on the Moon and the twelfth house the native will go to hell after death. Beneficial influence will take him to heaven. Most of the ill effects of the Moon in the twelfth house will be warded off if she is in her own sign Cancer without any malefic influence.
3) Brihath Jataka by Varhamihira (325 AC) :- The person concerned will be wickedly disposed and defective in some limb.
4) Phala-deepika by Manthreswara :-- The native will be lazy, humiliated, unhappy and will not be liked by others.
5) Saravali by Maha-Raja Kalyana Varma (10th century A.C; king of Vyaghrapaada kingdom) :-- The native will be mean, envious, lazy, troubled and humiliated and will suffer from eye troubles.
6) Chamatkara Chintamani by Narayana Bhatt (5th century AC) :-- The native will always be troubled by enemies, eye troubles and other afflictions. His money will be spent on good causes. He will be dissatisfied with his uncles and mother. His efforts will prove abortive.
7) Jataka Kalaanidhi :- DHUR-BHOJANAM, GOTHRA-SAMRUDHI, ANGA-VIHINA, KSHUDRAVAAN = When the Moon is in 12th house, the person eats bad-quality food, his family is large, he suffers loss of limbs; and has dirty conduct and character and is harmful to people.

My views :- All the above astrologers have described the evil effects of Moon in the twelfth house in their own way and in essence substantially agree with the views expressed by Bhrigu Sutras. Chamatkar Chintamani has inter alia said that the Moon in the twelfth will make-the native spend money on good cause. This will happen when there is benefic influence on the Moon and the twelfth house like the aspect (drushti) of a benefic planet.---- (to be continued tomorrow). ----------------------------------- You can get my full particulars from my web-site : www.jyothishi.com. H.H.Swami Jnanandaji ; Horoscope Analysis; Part-3

Today is Maha Navami holy festival. I convey my readers of the blog and customers hearty Greetings. May Bhagavathi Sri Saraswathi bless us all with Her Grace and bestow us all long life-span, good health, wealth, success and happiness!

Horoscope Analysis of H.H. Swami Jnananandaji –

The Saint and the Scientist (1896 – 1969)

Part – 3 (Sept—27—2009) Sunday

Usually, a person can be a saint or a scientist. But Swami Jnanandaji was a unique person; he was both a distinguished saint and a scientist. He did about 10 years of penance / meditation in Garwal region of Himalayas. He wrote many books on Sri Krishna and Philosophy and Hinduism. Later he went abroad and took two Doctorate degrees, one from Prague University and the other from Liverpool University (U.K.), just with his background of high school education in Bhimavaram only. Later he migrated to USA during beginning of the second word war. He worked for over a decade in the nuclear physics research center at the Univeristy of Michigan in USA. He returned to India during 1948; and started Nuclear Physics Department in Andhra University in 1955. I joined the Department during July-1964 in M.Sc. course; I joined as a research student in 1964 under his guidance. I had personal contact with him as a scientist and as spiritual Guruji till his death during 1969. I now analyse his horoscope in nine parts as my tribute to him !

2 Sun : Atha vyaya sthaane Ravi sthithe, thejovihinenayane bhavatham, thathenasakam, gatha-chitha-vruthihi, virudha budhi vyaya bhava yathe. Kanthe salinaha phalamukthamaarthesaaha = Since Sun was in vyayam (12th house), Swamiji had eye troubles and weak eye-sight from his middle age; he had wavering mental concentration between total sanyasi-life forsaking every worldly learning and scientific research endeavours. He had disagreement with his father in domestic and family matters and became a Sanyasi against his father’s wish. He did not enjoy paternal comforts in life; he abandoned paternal riches and properties. Addenda on Sun in 12th house : Now I explain the effect of Sun (Ravi) in 12th house (vyaya; loss) = Lagna vyaye Ravi-phalam.

Effects : Views of renowned astrologers : 1) Saint-Astrologer Maharshi Parasara (Great grand-father of Pandavas and Kauravas of Mahabharatha epic; father of Maharshi Veda Vyasa) wrote : (sloka = Sanskrit verse) :- THEJO-VIHINA-NAYANE BHAVETHAAM THATHENA SAAKAM GATHA-CHITHA-VRUTHI, VIRUDHA-BUDHI, VYAYA-BHAVA YATHE SALINYA PHALAM UKTHAM-ARYAI = IF SUN IS IN 12TH HOUSE, THE PERSON SUFFERS EYE-DISEASE, WAVERING MIND, ENEMICAL TO HIS / HER FATHER & HAS EVIL / HARMFUL NATURE. HE /SHE FACES RISK OF DEATH IN INFANCY IF MAIN PERIOD OF RAVI (SUN) OCCURS AT THE BIRTH TIME; ENJOYS VERY LITTLE PATRONAGE OF FATHER; FATHER’S PROPERTY IS LOST.

2) Bhrigu Sutras- by saint-astrologer Maharishi Bhrigu (3500 BC):-- Sutras (103) :- Shat-thridasa varshe, gulma-rogee; Suthra (104) :- apaathra-vyaya kaari; pathithaha, dhana-haani; Suthra (105) :- go’, mahisha hatya-dosha kruth; para-desa-vaasi; Suthra (106) :- Bhava-adhipe bala-yuthe, devatha-siddhaha; Suthra (107) :- Sayya, khatvanga-adi soukyam; Suthra (108) :- Bhava-adhipe paapa-graha-yuthe, apaathra-vyaya-kari; suka-sayya heenaha; Suthra (109) :- Shashta-eesa yuthe, Kushtu-roga yuthaha; subha-drushta-yuthe nivruthi; Suthra (110) :- paapa-graha drushta-yuthe, roga-vrudhimaan = If the Sun is in the 12th house (malefic), the native will suffer from appendicitis in the 36th year of his life. He will waste his money on undesirable purposes, he will be sinful and will incur loss of wealth. He will be accused of killing a cow / buffallow and will live away from his native land. If the Sun is associated with strong and auspicious planet or planets the native will enjoy blessings of God. He will also enjoy bed comforts (sexual pleasures). If the Sun is in conjunction with malefics the native will incur wasteful expenditure and will be deprived of bed comforts. If the Sun is associated with the lord of the sixth house the native will suffer from leprosy but he will recover from this disease if a benefic aspects the Sun. The presence of the Sun in the 12th also will make the native sinful and there will be aggravation of the diseases he suffers from.
Explanation :- The 12th is a house of loss in all respects. It. Is also a dusthana. The important significations of this house may be seen in Part I-Chapter II. When the 12th house is occupied by a malefic planet, the significations of the house play their full role. The Sun in the 12th will give only unfavourable results described above. The results will not be so unfavourable if there is a benefic planet in the 12th but whether the planet is a benefic or a malefic, the significations of the house he owns will also suffer badly. If, however, The Sun be in his own sign Leo in the 12th, the results will be good and beneficial to the native. This disposition will give rise to 'Vipreet Rajayoga'.
3) Brihath Jataka by Varhamihira (325 AC) :-- The person will suffer degradation.
4) Phala-deepika by Manthreswara :-- The native will be inimical towards his father. He will suffer from eye troubles. He will be without wealth and childless.
5) Saravali by Maha-Raja Kalyana Varma (10th century A.C; king of Vyaghrapaada kingdom) :-- The native will have a lean body. He will be one eyed, sinful, childless, inimical to his father, powerless and mean.
6) Chamatkara Chintamani by Narayana Bhatt (5th century AC) :-- The native will suffer from eye troubles. He will be victorious in the battlefield. He will live at only one place to earn his livelihood. He will gain wealth during journeys.
7) Jataka Kalanidhi : PATHITHAH, VISAALA-ANGAM, VIDHAVAA-SANGAMAM, DHANA-HINA ,CHORA= When the Sun is in 12th house, the person is debaucheries, has heavy body, has intimate sexual relations with widows, suffers poverty and is notorious thief.

My views :- All the astrologers except Chamatkar Chintamani agree with the views of Bhrigu Sutras that inauspicious results follow from the placement of the Sun in 12th house according to significations of this house. They have not given the effects of the benefic influences on the Sun, as described in Bhrigu Sutras. -------------------------------------- (to be continued tomorrow). ----------------------------------- You can get my full particulars from my web-site : www.jyothishi.com.
