Kalasarpa Dosha _ Part--2

Kalasarpa dosha can bring challenges to one’s finances, health and property. In addition, Kalasarpa dosha causes delays and obstructions in the person’s daily life, making it difficult for him to accomplish anything. No matter how hard one may try, it is almost impossible to complete one’s work and succeed in life.

Savya Kala Sarpa Dosham: All the houses are occupied with the 7 planets from Rahu to Ketu , it is known as Savya Kalasarpa Dosham

Apasavya Kala Sarpa Dosham : All the houses are filled with the 7 planets from Ketu to Rahu, it is called Apasavya Kala Sarpa Dosham.

In Astrological science, Rahu is termed as the head and Ketu is termed as tail of Sarpa. The Vedic pundits terms that the Kalasarpa dosham / yogam is most dangerous one in any person’s life span. It ruins his life career, health and wealth and reputation.

In the natal chart from birth-lagna (ascendant) to seventh house if this yoga is there, the first half is more miserable and from seventh house to twelfth house, the second half of the life is harmful. In the natal chart if other beneficial yogas are not there, the native will be jobless; addicted to bad habits, and leads miserable life, unmarried, etc. Note : Good and very strong raja-yogams benefit the person, even if he has Sarpa dosham in his chart. Even if one planet is outside of Rahu Ketu Axis, there is no Kal Sarpa Yoga. Before you do any remedies for the Kal Sarpa Yoga, make sure that all planets are between Rahu and Ketu. Even if there is one planet outside the Rahu Ketu axis the Kal Sarpa Yoga does not exist. Here is an

This is the birth chart of an astrologer. Though he has Sarpa dosham, he lived a comfortable life by astrology-practice. There are some rules: (1) If Jupiter or Mercury stay in birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m or aarudha birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m, favourably disposed; or (2) If Jupiter or Mercury stay in 10th house from birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m or aarudha birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m favourably disposed; or (3) If the lord of 10th house from laganam or aarudha laganam is beneficial planet and is together with Jupiter or Mercury or in between Jupiter or Mercury; or (4) If Guru and Mercury aspect birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m or lord of birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m or aarudha birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m or the lord of aarudha birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant)m, then the person will be an expert astrologer and earns his living by practice of astrology. Let us examine the horoscope of this astrologer in the light of the above rules. (1) Jupiter is exalted and aspects (7th house) the birth birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant) (2) Mercury is exulted and is in aarudha birth-birth-lagna (ascendant) (ascendant). (3)The lord of 10th house (Virgo) is Venus and is positioned between Jupiter and Mercury. & (4) Jupiter and Mercury are givers of success in the profession of astrology; both are exalted. So he had success as professional astrologer. Mar--31--2010

Kalasarpa Dosha _ Part--1

Kalasarpa Dosha _ Part--1 March--30--2010

Sri Narayana Bhatt, autor of renowned astrological text Chamatkara Chintamani, renowned Hindu astrologer of 5th century (A.C) of Ujjaini, examined the various aspects of Kala-sarpa dosha. We explain Kalasarpa dosha based on his writings and on our observation of various horoscopes during the past 48 years.
If in any native's chart, Rahu and Ketu and all the 7 planets stay in the 7 houses, between Rahu and Ketu it is called Kalasarpa dosha.. Agre Rahau. anthye Kethu, sarve Madhya-gathe grahau;KAA.LA SARPA akyaam yogam naupakaasya vinakanaami !

Rahu and Ketu are the vedic names for the ascending and descending nodes of the Moon respectively. The Sanskrit word kaala has several meanings, one of which is “time.” Sarpa can be translated loosely as “snake / serpent.” Kalasarpa dosha is a phenomenon in which the serpentine energy associated with Rahu and Ketu entwines itself around the other 7 planets, thus constricting and disrupting the planetary rays.

Vipareeta (ViparIta) raja yoga ; Part--4

Vipareeta (ViparIta) raja yoga Vipareeta (ViparIta) raja yoga Part--4- Mar-30-2010 Monday Example :- This is the horoscope of a good natured, lazy but lucky guy; he declines to do any job / business. He was born in Nov--1968; in Kakinada (Andhra; India). He has Venus, the lord of 12th house (Taurus) in 6th house causing a strong Harsha yoga. He now leads a life of prosperity and of Harsha (enjoyment) in Kakinada. His natal chart is given below:

During the period of Venus and sub-period of Venus some important events occurred in his life. His rich mother-in-law died; she left one shopping complex in 350 sq.ms and a house in another 350 sq.ms area in prime locality as inheritance to her daughter. He sold the shopping complex at a good rate. His paternal grand-father and father worked hard, lived frugally and piled up savings of about a few millions as bank deposits. His parents left India to live with their other sons, settled in U.S.A; they had two houses in Kakinada. So this young man had two unfortunate events in 3 years (during Venus-Venus period); one is the death of his rich and aged mother-in-law and the other is his separation from his parents. But he has over a few millions worth possessions in his control. So he left his job; he stays at home enjoying these riches. He has no bad habits or addictions. It gave him beneficial results in Venus main period and sub-period. The recipient of this yoga (this person) has not risen in position (become the next Governor, Minister, Vice President of a Company ) but he gets residual benefits from another person that may have this yoga also. His father has this yoga. His lord of 6th house is in 12th house. So he gets benefits of riches from his father. I found this in many natal charts. My Remarks :- These three yogas, Harsha, Sarala and Vimala illustrate us how lords of malefic houses by occupying malefic houses can remove the evil effects, specially in their periods. Even though the astrologer-author of the above yogas ascribed beneficial results to these three yogas, yet in actual life situations some contrary results have been observed. Sage-astrologers Maharshis Parasara and Lomasa do not favour the idea that the sting from an evil lordship is removed entirely as a result of the lord occupying another malefic house. On the other hand, the intensity of malefic effect is modified. According to Maharshi Parasara: (1) When the lord of 6th house is in 6th house, the person’s relatives become his enemies; he would befriend outsiders and may seek their help to harm his enemy-relatives. (2) When the lord of 6th house is in 8th or 12th house, the native hates learned persons; he becomes sickly. He may go after other’s wives; he may take pleasure in causing violence in the family or in the society. Therefore the astrologer should carefully examine the intrinsic evil nature of the ownership of the planets, while interpreting these three yogas.

Present Conditions for Astrology as Profession

Present Conditions for Astrology as Profession

(March—29—2010) Sunday

In recent times (from 1962 onwards), I realized in my own experience that 98% of the Indians expect free services from astrologers, as a matter of right; others pay paltry amount as fees (Rs.1 to Rs.3 in 1964; and Rs.20 or 30 now in 2009). This results in the expert astrologer to leave astrology, as his main profession and take up other full time professions and make a decent living. I did not take astrology as a profession till Mar-2003 only because I can not earn even one plate-meal for one person a day on the income on astrology-services (it is really pathetic). I earned a high first class M.Sc. (in 1964) and a Ph.D. Degree in Electronics and Nuclear Phyiscs (in 1970; three USA experts were examiners). I retired as a University Professor (Engineering) during Mar-2003. Expert-Astrologers like Prof. Tangirala Gopala Krishna Murthy, D.Sc. (Mahamahopadhyaya in Astrology); Prof. Pidaparthi Dakshina Murthy Sastry, M.Tech., Prof. M.Gopala Krishna, Ph.D., were other University Professors, who chose to forsake astrology as profession and change to better profession from their teenage. So the conditions for expert astrologers are very pathetic in present days and only quacks (so called Babas, Swamijis etc) are managing decent earnings (as paada-pooja dowries) by adopting various cheating techniques in the name of astrology. 98% of astrologers in India or abroad, I can say by my experience, are quacks. So if the people want expert astrologers to serve them genuinely, they must pay decent fees for their services (as they pay a medico or a lawyer or an auditor). Then only expert professional astrologers exist in India and people can expect genuine astrological guidance from them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lady Victoria became heiress-apparent of the British crown on the death of her uncle in 1837, she became Queen of Great Britain. She was crowned the next year. So she gained the position of the Empress by the death of his childless uncle, (unfortunate event). This is an excellent illustration of Vipareetha Raja yoga.

There are 4 planets in the 12th house (Vyaya; a malefic house). . The 12th house is a house of loss, expenditure, isolation, and planets placed therein are generally considered malefic. However, this is actually a special Raja Yoga or 'Royal' Yoga called Vipareeta Raja Yoga; this is formed when the ruler of a dusthana (malefic) house, the 6, 8, or 12th house, is placed in another dusthana (malefic) house. The classical astrological texts praise this yoga by describing: Sahsta, Ashta, Vyaya adhipe sahashta, ashta, vyaya sthana gathe Vipareetha-raja yoga muchyathe; akhanda raja-yoga prapthi na samsayaha = "This yoga confers learning, longevity, fame and prosperity. The person will have illustrious friends, be successful in all ventures, a conqueror of foes, and a great celebrity." She gained the Victory and World Championship by defeating (causing loss to) her own sister Ms. Serene Williams in the final match. So the Vipareeta raja yoga result is clearly seen in this case. Saturn is the lord of 6th and Mars is the lord of 8th house and they are both in the 12th house in her natal chart. Ms. Venus has all these benefits in her life. The 6th house is Aquarius; its lord is Saturn; he is in 12th house; the 8th house is Aries; its lord is Mars; he is in 12th house. These two factors cause a strong Vimala Yoga. This yoga renders the person frugal, happy, independent and with noble qualities.
This Vipareeta Raja Yoga is enhanced thousand-fold because the Moon is one of the four planets present in the 12th house. When the Moon is the ascendant, that is the Indu lagna is considered, several Raja Yogas are formed, by the combining of the lords of the 4th, 5th, 7th and 9th houses. Raja Yogas give a meterioc rise in career, business and financial prosperity and overall success in all aspects of life. Gaja-kesari yoga, Chandra-Manglala yoga and the like. These yogas contribute to her ability to earn millions of money easily and accumulate huge wealth even though it is in the 12th house (of losses) from birth lagna. The combined benefits of all the above aspects made her very happy, healthy and a multi-billionaire. The placement of lords of malefic houses in malefic houses forms three yogas, known as Harsha yoga, Sarala yoga and Vimala yoga,

Vipareeta (ViparIta) raja yoga ; Part--1

Vipareeta (ViparIta) raja yoga This yoga means : one person’s rise, gain or success after failure or loss to another person.
Rule :-- If the two or more lords of malefic houses (Dusthanas), namely, 3rd, 6th, 8th or 12th houses stay in conjunction in 6th, 8th or 12th houses or have exchange yogam (stay in each other’s house), the person enjoys royal comforts and affluence in life during the main-periods of those planets.. No malefics should be related to these planets, which ruin the raja-yogam. Also other planets should not conjunct with these 2 or 3 planets; then the yogam is ruined. So It implies the collection of power or gains coming together due to another's ( or ones own) down fall or death of another.
The important considerations in this yoga are The planets ( grahas) involved should be weak by their placement in a malefic house (dusthana) or in debility (neecha sthana) in the rasi chart ( Janma Kundalai) or in the Navamsa (D9) chart, or / and be strong in a kendra ( quadrant) or trikona ( trine ) and transfer power to the lord of the lagna, or atmakaraka by conjunction or drushti (aspect). It is also observed that the recipient of this yoga my not rise in position (become the next Governor, Minister, Vice President of a Company ) but will get residual benefits from another person that may have this yoga also - I found this in many natal charts. So two cases occur:
1. The direct benefit from the loss or misfortune of another. Many call out the down-fall of an enemy due the malefic house (dusthanana) influence, yet this is not always the case and therefore;
2. The rise or benefit to the native based upon the downfall of a friend or ally.
Generally a key role is played by Saturn, as Sani is the natural karaka (significator) of malefic houses (dusthanas). Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra-Horoscope Analysis-Part-8

23) Bhagavan Sri Maha Vishnu was cursed by a Brahmin Maharshi to suffer separation of wife for many years. This curse was realized during the incarnation of Bhagavan Sri Rama, In spite of the excellent chakravarthi-yogas in the Rasi chart, Sri Rama suffered hurdles which stopped his coronation function by his father; due to malefic aspect (7th drushti) of Saturn on 10th house (Rajya-sthanam), he had to undergo 14 years aranya-vasa (stay in forests) and suffer hell of troubles with his family during the Budha period.

24) In spite of the excellent chakravarthi-yogas in the Rasi chart, Sri Rama suffered hurdles which stopped his coronation function by his father; due to the malefic aspect of Saturn (7th drushti) on the 10th house (Rajya sthanam). Sri Rama had to undergo 14 years aranya-vasa (stay in forests) and to suffer hell of troubles with his family during this malefic period of Mercury (Budha). Thus the presence of a curse can ruin the effects Chakravathi-yogas (Beneficial effects of a great Emperor). Jupiter and birth-lagna together are aspected by Saturn and Mars indicate this curse of a Brahmin on Bhagavan Sri Rama. Jupiter in Thanu-Bhava (in birth-lagna), Sri Rama experienced this suffering. The houses owned by Saturn indicate the problem aspect; here marriage and or married life. Here Saturn is the lord of 7th and 8th houses; the 7th house is additionally marred by the presence of Mars (malefic). Great and mighty King Ravana abducted Sri Rama’s wife, Smt. Sita Devi. Both Sri Rama and Smt. Sita experienced unimaginable suffering during that period of their separation. Finally their ordeal ended with the death of Demon King Ravana. King Ravana was a Brahmin by birth; he was a great devotee of Lord Siva and got many boons from him. He did Siva abhishekam and archana daily; he also did all the religious rituals to be done by a Brahmin like Sandhya-vandanam and Surya-namaskarams and tarpanas to Lord Surya and other deities like Sri Gayathri Devi, regularly thrice a day; thus he earned strong divine powers. Just like a drop of poison in a pot of whole milk makes the whole milk poisonous, all the great pious karmas done by King Ravana became useless and non-effective and caused his death. But his one sinful karma of abducting Sri Sita Devi caused his destruction. This is the most valuable lesson every wise person must learn, namely, “Even a single misdeed can ruin all the virtues of a person and lead him to peril". Bhagavan Sri Rama worshipped Bhagavan Sri Siva at Rameswaram; he was redeemed from the curse of a Brahamin (King Ravana) by Bhagavan Siva’s grace.

DEDICATED TO SRI SITA RAMA HANUMANTHA WITH DEVOTION

MY PRAYER :-- Aapadam apaharthaaram; daathaaram sarva-sampadaam; loka-abhi -raamam Sri Ramam, bhuyo, bhuyo, Namaamyaham ! Anayaasena maranam, vina-daineyena jeevanam, anthya kale jeevan-mukthi (Srikaivalya-padam) dehime dhiyam; Sri Sita Rama sirasaa-namaam! =

Oh Bhagavan Sri Rama! you destroy all dangers and miseries in our lives; you bestow us all types of prosperity (good health, gold / money, houses, lands, clothes, very good children and such ) . You are praised by all people as Saviour and dear to all We prostate and pay our obeisance to you again and again. You please give me three boons: easy, non-painful and instant death; a majestic life with no dependence on anybody, without any misery; moksha (liberation from birth-death cycle). I touch your feet with my brow and folded-hands and kiss your feet again and again, millions of times with devotion. =====================================================

Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra-Horoscope Analysis-Part-7

Today is the holy day of Sri Rama Navami. On this holy occasion (March-24-2010) of Sri Rama Jayanthi (the birth day of God Sri Rama), I am happy, lucky and blessed by God (Lord) Sri Rama, to explain the horoscope of Bhagavan Sri Rama; Supreme God, incarnation God (Lord) Sri Maha Vishnu. His mission in his life (avathara) was Parithraanaya Sadhunam, vinasayacha dushkrutham, dharma-samsthapana arthaaya smabhavaami yuge, yuge = To protect the virtuous persons, to destroy sinners, evil doers, devils and demons; and to establish dharma (righteousness) in this world (Bhagad-geetha sloka = Sanskrit verse). I am a devotee of Bhagavan Sri Rama = Sri Ramachanra arapana-masthu = I dedicate all this horoscope-analysis to the lotus feet of Lord Sri Rama.

This chart is prepared based on the descriptions written by Maharshi Valmiki, the original author of Ramayana in Sanskrit about the birth of Sri Rama. This is a very rare chart; this chart clearly shows Lord Sri Rama as an exemplary and a role-model (true hero) for mankind. Sri Rama is deemed to be the incarnation (Avatar) of God Sri Maha Vishnu. Place of birth : Ayodhya. Year : Sri Prabhava. Month: Chaithra. Day : Sudda Navami. Birth Star : Punarvasu. Maharshi Veda Vyasa in his Adyatma Ramayana described Bhagavan Sri Rama’s birth time in these slokas (Sansckrit verses)

Madhu maase, sithe pakshe, Navamyaam, Karkate subhe, Punarvas nakshathra sahithe, utchasthe graha-pamchake ! Mesahm Pooshani samprapthe, pushpavrushti samakule, aviraasee Jagannaatha, Parama-atmaa, sanaathanaha = During the Spring season of Vasantha-ruthu (madhumaase means Chaithra month; in April), Sukla paksha (waxing Moon), Navami thithi (9th day after new-moon), in Karkaataka lagna (Cancer is birth house; ascendant) . in Punarvasu star (Moon is in Punarvasu star in Cancer; so Cancer is also Rasi-lagna (Moon); Cancer is own house for Moon) when 5 planets were in exaltation and when Sun was in Mesha (Aries) Bhagavan Sri Jagannaath (the Supreme Lord of Universe was born; then sweet-scented flowers rained profusely for one muhurtha (duration of 12 minutes) from the sky on the castle where Sri Rama was born. The time of birth was described based on Lunar System of Vedic astrology. Sun stays in Aries during Mesha month (roughly from April—14 to May—14 ) of every year.

15) Ashta Lakshmi yoga :-- This is a powerful yoga for the Eightfold Prosperity ( Ashta Laksmi Yoga ). If the North Node (Rahu) is in the 6th house and if Jupiter is in Kendra house (quadrant) from birth-lagna, then this Ashta Lakshmi Yoga is formed = Shashta sthana gathe Rahu; Lagna Kendra gathe Gurau; Ashtalakshmee samayuktham ; Madhyavan Keerthiman Nara. The Eightfold Prosperity, whose symbols are the Eight Lakshmis, the Ashta Lakmis, the Ashta Vasus are : 1) Dhana Lakshmi - Wealth as prosperity. (2) Dhanya Lakshmi - Agriculture as prosperity; 3) Dhairya Lakshmi – Courage . (4) Vijaya Laksmi - Victory 5) Adi Laksmi - Power (6) Vidya Laksmi Learning 7) Gaja Lakshmi Will-Power (8) Santhana Lakshmi Children as prosperity
The native born under this yoga, enjoys the Eightfold Prosperity. Rahu and Jupiter should be powerful, however, to confer the full benefits of this yoga.

In the horoscope of Sri Rama, Rahu is in 6th house (in Sagittarius) forming Kodanda Rahu yoga. Jupiter is exalted in birth-lagna (Kendra and kona).

16) Ubhayaachara yoga :-- There is at least one planet (other then the Moon) in both the second and the twelfth house calculated from the Sun. This brings good fortune in many areas, but again only if it involves benefics. Malefics cause troubles. When a person has both a Veshi and Voshi yoga, he actually has Ubhayachari yoga. It would be logical to expect a yoga when there are no planets in the second or the twelfth house calculated from the Sun. This is not the case. The Sun is in itself, a powerful planet, and it can function very well alone, without the support of other planets. A benefic in the vicinity is always beneficial, but it is not necessary. In this chart of Sri Rama exalted Venus is present in 12th house from Sun (exalted) and Mercury (own house) is in 2nd house form Sun. So he had the benefits of this yoga. 17) Pushkala (Abudance; plenty) yoga :-- When the lord of the house occupied by the Moon is associated with birth-lagna or is in a Kendra (1,4,7,10) in the house of friend and aspects (drushti) birth lagna and lagna has a powerful and benefic planet, Pushkala (plenty; bounty) yoga occurs. Beneifts :-- The person will be wealthy, famous, and intelligent; he has sweet speech and pleasing manners and is honoured by the King or the ruler. In the chart of Sri Rama has waxing Moon in birth lagna (own house; Cancer), both Kendra and kona. Moon has powerful benefic Jupiter (exalted) conjunct in the same house. So he had Pushkala yoga and was adored by all the kings of the world. 18) Sankha yoga :-- If the lords of the 5th and 6th are in mutual Kendras and the lord of Lagna is powerful, Sankha Yoga occurs.

Results. The person is fond of pleasures, humanitarian, blessed with good wife, children and lands and houses. He is righteously inclined, doing good deeds. He is learned in sciences, and lives upto a good old age (above 100 years). Sri Rama’s horoscope has powerful Sanka yoga. The 5th house is Scorpio and its lord is Mars. He is exalted in Capricorn. The 6th house is Sagittarius and its lord is Jupiter. He is exalted in birth lagna (also Rasi-lagna (Moon) and Aarudha lagna) and Kuja is in Kendra (7th house) from lagna and Jupiter.

19) Uthama Gruha yoga :-- The lord of 4th house must be in his own house or exalted and must be in a lendra or Kona from lagna or Rasi-lagna (Moon). The person owns

decent mansions. Sri Rama,s horoscope has Venus (lord of 4th house; Libra) exalted in Pisces and is in 9th house (kona; Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana) and has powerful aspect (9th drushti) of Jupiter. As a crown Prince and later as emperor he owned dozens of huge palaces. 20) Vahana (Vehicles) Yoga :-- When the lord of 4th house is exalted and the lord of the exaltation house occupies a kendra or trikona. The Vahana yoga is formed. Beneifts—The person acquires material comforts and conveyances like cars. In Sri Rama’s horoscope the 4th house is Libra. Its lord Venus is exalted and in 9th house (kona; Sri Maha lakshmi sthana). The lord of 9th house (Pisces) is Jupiter and is exalted in birth lagna (Rasi-lagna (Moon); Aarudha lagna). He possessed thousands of vahanas like chariots, horses and elephants and palanquins as an Emperor. 9) 21) Damini yoga :-- If all the seven planets (except Rahu and Ketu) occupy six houses, Damini yoga is formed. Benefits:-- According to great astrologer-writer Sri Varahamihira of 4th century A.C., in his famous astrological text, Brihath Samhitha enunciated the results of this yoga: the Damini yoga makes the person charitable, always helping others and proects cattle. Maharajha Kalayana Varma of 10th century A.C. {king of Vyaghrapada kingdom (in present Madhya Pradesh)}, famous astrologer –writer; author of Saravali; glorifies this yoga. In addition to the above benefits, this yoga gives the man wealth, fame and intellect also. In the chart of Sri Rama all the seven planets (except Rahu and Ketu) are in six houses. So Damini yoga is present.

22) Dharma-Karma Adhipa raja-yogam ; The lord of 9th house (Bhagyam); (Pisces) is Jupiter; he is in his exaltation (in Cancer); The lord of 10th house (Rajyam) is Mars; he is in 7th house (Makara) exalted . Mars is in kendram 7th house from Jupiter and birth lagnam. This is Dharma-karma-adhipa raja yoga. This yoga gives huge wealth and high ruling power to the person. Sri Rama was a great Emperor.

23) CURSE OF A BRAHMIN ; Jupiter denotes Brahmins highly learned in Vedas and religious scriptures like jyothisha (astrology) and spiritual person and prisests who perform poojas and abhishekams and other ritual daily for many years. Afflication of Jupiter by Sarutn (10th drushti on lagna and Jupiter) and Mars (7th drushti on lagna and Jupiter) indicates the curse of a Brahmin in the previous or present births. A Brahmin may also fulfill the curse of a Brahmin; naturally the later Brahmin will be of very bad temperament and nature. ----------------------
