Samudra Yoga Part--98 (Apr—25--2009) Rule :-- If all the planets occupy even houses namely, 2,4,6,8,10, and 12^th houses from birth lagna, Samudra yoga is formed.

Benefits :-- The person will be a leader of a clan or society and commands respect. He leads a carefree and happy life. In this chart all the planets are in 4^th,6^th an 10^th houses. He enjoys the postion of a President of an Apartments Complex for over 10 years. He is honest and helpful. He is respected by all dwellers of those Apartments. He leads and happy and contended life.

Chandra Yoga Part--97 (Apr—24--2009) Rule :-- If all the planets occupy odd houses from birth lagna, namely 1,3,5,7,9 and 11^th houses Chandra yoga is formed. Benefifs :-- The person shall be the leader of a clan or a cult of people. He commands respect and obedience from people of his group or clan. He earns well and spends well. He enjoys prosperity and comforts. Example : 1 :-- All the 7 planets are in odd houses from birth-lagna. He enjoys the benefits of this yoga. He is working as the President of a worker’s union in a big factory in Bangalore.

RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.

Mridanga Yoga Part--96 (Apr—23--2009) Rule : Mr1danga yoga is formed (1) when the lord of birth lagna is strong and well-disposed; (2) when the lord of Nava-amsa occupied by an exalted planet must occupy a kona (trine) or Kendra (quadrant) in an exalted or friendly house. Effects : The person is respected by rulers (king/government), famous and attractive. He commands lot of influence. Example : 1 This was the natal chart of a British Emperor. He was born at London; 0n Dec—14—1895 at 3-15 GMT. The birth kagna was Libra and the lagna lord, Venus, was in lagna in his own house in moola-trikona (best place in own house). Venus and strong and well-disposed. Jupiter was in 10^th house (Rajya sthana; Cancer) and was exalted. Jupiter was in his own house (Sagittarius) in Namsa-lagna, in moola-trikona. In Rasi chart the lord of Sagittarius (Jupiter) was in Kendra (10^th house) and was exalted. He enjoyed all the benefits of Mridanga yoga.

Venus is exalted in Pisces in birth-lagna, in Rasi chart. Venus is in Libra in his own house and in moola-trikona in Nava-Amsa chart. In Rasi chart the lord of Libra Venus is exalted in Pisces in birth lagna The lord of birth lagna (Pisces) is Jupiter and he is in 4^th house (Kendra) and is weel disposed. He has Mridanga yoga. He also had second Mridanga yoga in his chart. Mars I exalted in Capricorn in 11^th house (laabha). In Nava-amsa Mars is in Capricorn (causing Vargothamamsa; beneficial) exalted. The lord of Capricorn is Saturn and he is in 4^th house (Kendra) in his friend’s house (Mercury) conjunct with Jupiter in Rasi chart. The lord of birth-lagna in Rasi is Jupiter and he is strong and is in 4^th house (Kendra) in Gemini in his friend’s (Mercury) house.

Example: 3 This is the natal chart of Sir Ashuthosh Mukharjee (1864--19260, a very distinguished scholar and was the first Indian to occupy the exalted position Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court during (1904—23) period. He had Mridanga yoga. This chart shows many more Raja-yogas. Chandra-Mangala yoga (Moon and Mars conjunct in Aries). Gaja-kesari yoga (Moon and Jupiter in mutual opposition); Parivarthana yoga (Mercury-Venus exchange houses); Kodanda-Rahu yoga (Rahu in 6^th and Ketu in 12^th houses); Pancha-anana yoga (all planets occupy five houses). He got benefits of most of these yogas.

Chapa Yoga Part--95 (Apr—22--2009) Rule : If the lord of birth lagna is exalted, and the lords of 4^th and 10^th house are conjunct in 4^th or 10^th house or they have parivarthana yoga (interchanged houses) Chapa yoga is formed. Effects : The person shall be a member of the Council of Ministers of a King or President of a country, an Exchequer or a Comptroller of Treasury or the Managing Director / C.E.O. of a Bank; he will be wealthy, intelligent, and full of enthusiasm. He may control the wealth of others or the nation.

The birth-lagna is Gemini. He is exalted in Virgo. The 4^th house is Virgo and its lord Mercury is in Virgo exalted. The 10^th house is Pisces; its lord is in 4^th house conjunct with Mercury. He has Chapa yoga. But the malefic aspects (7^th drushti) of Saturn on 4^th house and on the Mercury and Jupiter there in, and the malefic association with malefic planets Mars and Rahu in 4^th house spoiled the benefits of Chapa yoga. He is an upper-middle class person. Example:2

Bharathi Yoga Part--94 (Apr-- 22--2009) Rule : Bharathi yoga is formed (1) if the lord of Nava-amsa occupied by the lord of 2^nd house is exalted and is in conjunction with the lord of 9^th house; or (2) if the lord of Nava-amsa occupied by the lord of 5^th house is exalted and is in conjunction with the lord of 9^th house; or (3) if the lord of Nava-amsa occupied by the lord of 11^th house is exalted and is in conjunction with the lord of 9^th house. Effects : The person shall be world-famous and a reputed scholar and fond of musics and dance; He / she shall be romantic, handsome, attractive, with bewitching eyes. He shall be religious.

The lord of 5^th house (Libra) in Bhava chart is Venus and is in Gemini in Nava-amsa. Its lord is Mercury and is exalted in 4^th house (Virgo) in Bhava chart and is conjunct with lord of 9^th house (Capricorn) Saturn. This is Bharthi yoga. Due to other malefic combinations in the charts, the benefits of Bharthi yoga got cancelled and the yoga was futile for the native.
