3) Parasara’s Dicturm : Lakshmi-sthaanam thrikonancha; Vishnu-sthaanancha kendraaha. thayo sambandha mathrena , Raja-yoga adhiakam, bhaveth !
Meaning :-- 1,5,9 houses from birth lagnam (ascendant) are called trikonams (trines); 1,4,7,10 houses from birth lagam are called kendrams (quadrants); if the lords of trikonam and kendram are conjunct in same beneficial house, the person is blessed with Raja-yogam; he gets longevity, health, wealth, happiness, name and fame. The lord of lagnam Sun and konam (5th) Jupiter are conjuct in birth lagnam. Lagna is both Kendra and Kona.
Lord of Lagna (kona), is Sun, and lord of 10th house (Kendra) is Venus; they are conjunct in birth lagna. This is a maha-raja-yoga.
4) Aarudha lagnascha, thatha sva-lagnath Kendra, kona-sthithe khecharasya, dasa-apnuyath, uttama-yogam idam vadanthi Garga adi maha-muneendhraha ! = Great saint-astrologers, like Garga Maharshi said that if a benefic stays in lagnam or in kendram or in konam; or stays in aarudha lagnam, or in kendram or in konam, the main period and sub-periods of that benefic give the best beneficial results (first grade, above 85%).. In this chart, highly beneficial planets Jupiter, Venus and Mercury are in birth lagnam / Aarudha lagnam / Indu lagnam; so he enjoyed best benefits in life, during the periods of Venus, Sun, Moon, so on.
5) If all the 9 planets are in 5 houses in the birth chart, it is called Panch-anana Yogam. The person enjoys happiness, health, wealth, and high-stature all his life. saptha-grahe pancha-raasi gathau, Pancha-anana yogamuchyathe; thatha raja-yogameva prayachathi. Examples are given in the following charts. Saint-astrologer Parasara says : YADI BHAVATHI GRAHA-INDRAAHA, PANCHA RAASAU YUKTHAHA, AUBHA SUBHAYUTHO, VAA, NEECHA, SATHRU GRAHE VAA, ASUBHAM AKHILAM VINASAM, NAASA KEMADRUMAADI SSA; BHAVATHI NRUPATHULYO, YOGAM PANCHA-ANANOYAM = If all the nine planets stay in 5 houses (raasis), all the malefic effects in the horoscope are removed completely; malefic effects like union with malefic planets, stay in malefic houses, stay in inimical houses or ava-yogams like Kemadruma and such bad yogams are removed. All minor ava-yogams were cancelled and he enjoyed royal comforts.

I already published over 480 articles (one a day) on various topics of Vedic Astrology in my blog starting from June-1-2008. Gautama Buddha was one of the greatest saints produced in India to spread human values and reform the practices like casteism, other superstitious practices in Hinduism prevalent in his period. He called Dharma (right behaviour). Later it got shaped into a separate religion “Buddhism”. He is adored by millions of people all over the Asian Nations as supreme God.

14) Brahma Yoga: If a person has Brahma yoga in birth chart, he is blessed with high-level education, knowledge, wealth, health, familiarity and popularity; This yoga occurs when Jupiter, Venus are placed in the kendras to the ascendant, and to the lord of either to the 5thor to the 11th house. In this chart Jupiter and Venus are in Kendra (10th house) to ascendant and the lord of 5th house (Vruschika; Scorpio) Mars. Mars Is in his own house Mesha) and Jupiter and Venus are in same house . So Gautama achieved highest level of knowledge, wisdom, health, and highest-level of name and fame. 15) Vasumathi yoga : If benefics occupy the upachayas (3, 6, 10 and 11) either from the ascendant or from the Moon, the combination goes under the name of Vasumathi Yoga. The person will not be a dependent but will always command plenty of wealth. Jupiter and Venus are in 10th house and Mercury is in 11th house from birth lagna. So Siddhartha has Vasumathi yoga. As a crown prince, he possessed wealth worth millions. 16) Parvatha yoga : Benefics being disposed in Kendras, the 6th and 8th houses should either be unoccupied or occupied by benefic planets. This combination goes under the name of Parvata Yoga. The person will become wealthy, prosperous, liberal, charitable, humorous & head of a town or village. He will be passionate also. Sidhartha has this yoga. Benefics Jupiter, Venus, and Moon are in kedras from ascendant and Aaroodha lagna. The 6th and 8th houses from lagna are vacant. As the cprwn pirince, he enjoyed all the beneficial results described above. 17) Pushkala Yoga ; The lord of the sign occupied by the Moon (who should be associated with lord of Lagna) should be in a Kendra or in the house of an intimate friend aspecting Lagna and at the same time, Lagna should be occupied by a powerful planet.. Wealthy, sweet speech, famous, honoured by the King and a lord.
The chart shows Moon is lord of birth lagna is full, highly fortified, and is Kendrs (4th house) from lagna. Sukra (Venus) the lord of Tula (Indu-lagna) is in Kendra from lagna (10th house) and from Indu-lagna (7th house; Kendra). Sukra aspects (7th drushti) Moon (lagna-lord). So Gautama was a millionaire by birth, had mesmerizing speech and worshipped by many kings and lords. RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.
Pasa (Pancha-anana) Yoga Part--105 (May—02--2009) Rule :-- If all the 7 planets (except Rahu and Ketu) are in 5 houses in the birth chart, it is called Panch-anana (Pasa yoga) Yoga. Benefits :-- The person enjoys happiness, health, wealth, and high-stature all his life. These three children are born as millionaires in the same rich family. They are born with golden-spoons in their mouths. They lead the life of a Prince/Princess from his/her infancy. Examples are given in the following charts. This horoscope (Ex—1) has the aspect of Jupiter on 10th house and is very beneficial.
The lord of 10th house (Cancer) is Moon and is conjunct with Venus; this is beneficial.
My explanation :-- The great astrologer-writer Maharajha Kalyana Varma (king of Vyaghrpada state) in present Madhya Pradesh (he belonged to 10th century A.C) wrote in his monumental astrological text SARAVALI, that a person born under this Pasa yoga may suffer from incarcenation (imprisonment). This statement shoud not be taken in its face-value. Pasa yoga by itself can not make a person a prisoner. There must be other strong aspects in the horoscope that can cause him incarcenation. In the above example of Smt. Aiswarya Rai and many other cases no such mal-effect was found.
If the lord of birth-lagna and lagna stay in the 6th and 8th in Pasa drekkanas, a powerful combination causing imprisonment, the person suffers incarcenation. Example :-- 2

Sri Ayyadevara Kaleswara Rao worked as a Speaker of a State Legislative Assembly during 1948—56 period. He was a freedom-fighter and an eminent Congress leader. He sacrificed his profession and everything for the cause of gaining freedom for India. During 1928—45 period he spent several months in jail along with other congress leaders. Thus he suffered imprisonment several times. This was caused by Mars-Rahu conjunction in 10th house with the malefic aspect (3rd drushti) of Saturn on 10th house and Mars and Rahu therein. The 10th house had received no other benefic aspects (drushtis). The disposition of Pasa yoga might have contributed its share of evil in making the person suffer imprisonment. Example :-- 3 The horoscope of Smt. Sonia Gandhi; the world-famous lady-ruler and de-facto ruling head (Prime-Minister, President and all-in-one) of India for past 4 years (2004—09). She rose to absolute power and controls political elements in the country and thrashes opposition effectively. She is a lady of firm-will. She is adored by millions of people. She has many strong raja-yogams in her natal chart. This is another example wherein there are no malefic effects of Pasa yoga at all. .

Venus is in own her house, Libra (Kendra); this is Malavya yoga; so Venus bestows her royal luxuries and riches through out the life. Chandra-Mangala yogam (Moon and Mars in mutually 7th houses) gives her success in worldly affairs and in political career; she gains in all aspects in this material world. Jupiter and Venus together is Adhikya yoga in kendram (4th) is maha-yoga; she gets success and prosperity and all the best in life. The lord of birth lagnam is Moon and is in 12th house; so she gets name and fame in a far-off place / country (India) from her birth place (Italy). Ubhayachara yoga is formed; Sun is in (5th ) house (konam); previous house (4th )has Jupiter; next house (6th) has Mars. This makes her an empress (ruler). Mars is lord of konam (5th and kendram (10th); so Mars is yoga-karaka and gives her riches, properties, prosperity and success in world affairs; Sunapha-yogam Saturn is in next house to Moon, gives her intelligence, wealth and fame. Jupiter & Venus are in 5th house from Moon (full); this is Hari-yoga; she is very intelligent, learned, wealthy and healthy. Moon, Mars, Venus and Jupiter give her a royal status, multi- billionaire riches and excellent life achievements. Budha-Aditya yogam is formed due to conjunction of Sun and Mercury in 5th house (Sri Maha Lakshmi stanam); she has billions of riches and properties. Ravi, Soumya yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe Budha-Aditya yogamutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, vanijya-vardhanam. She is already a multi-billionaire (Karore-pathi). She enjoys best status, riches, power, name and fame and all the best benefits in life. She has two children very highly placed in life, healthy, wealthy and happy. She enjoyed only limited marital happiness. The ‘Sarvaashtaka Varga’(score only 7 out of 24 points- Varahamihira method) explains this. She lost her husband on May-21-1991 during Saturn period, Rahu sub-period for her; he was assassinated at Sri Perambudur in Tamilnadu.

RAJA YOGAMS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.
Part—42 (Feb—11—2009)
Amala yoga:
Rule:-- Karma-sathana gathe sub-grahe, sva, utcha, mithra-sthana gathe, balo subha-graha veekashana akhanda yoga, bhagyam, sukha jeevana bhagya-praapthi, ithi na samsayaah; yath amala-yoga mutchathe. = If a benefic like Guru(Jupiter), or Sukra (Venus) or Mercury (Budha) or waxing full moon (with at least 12 kalalu) stays in 10th house that is in his own, or exalted or friend’s house (10th) and is seen (aspected; drushti) by a benefic planet on 10th house calculated from the ascendant(birth-lagna or the Moon(Indu-lagna) or the Aarudha lagna, the person becomes highly prosperous and successful in his business or profession and gains financial benefits of millions during the period of that benefic planet. He/ she enjoys happiness, health, wealth and riches, This is called Amala yoga and is very beneficial. The person is also philanthropic and benevolent towards mankind; so he may choose a career in the socialservice sector.
If a malefic is placed in this position, it may be favourable for the owner of the horoscope (explanation: malefics in upachaya houses are good and the tenth house is an upachaya house). However, it may mean, that he attains a high-ranking position at the cost of others and he plunders other people and unfair in his dealings. Also that planet in that 10th house should not suffer debilitation (neecha) or dagdha and its should not be an enemy house to that benefic planet. At the very least, the will not be very particular in choosing the avenues leading to social service sector.success.
Example : 1 -- Mahatma Gandhi (Sri M.K.Gandhi) has in his horoscope, amala yoga calculated from the ascendant ( birth-lagna). Moon is in the tenth house and so he had amala yoga. The Moon is in his own house Cancer and Jupiter is in the tenth house from the Moon, the Indu-lagna). It is doubly strong Amala-yoga.

So he sacrificed his career and his life for the cause of down-trodden people in South Africa and in India and led the freedom fight. He was a saint cum fighter highly respected by his enemies also. He practised the morals he preached and was the only person in the world-history to be extolled as MAHATMA (Great Soul) by all.
Rahu (malefic) was conjunct with moon. So Gandhiji showed highest favour to Muslims and ignored the Hindus and their welfare. His humanitarianism was one-sided and pro-Muslim.
