RAJA YOGAMS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.

Part—5 (Jan—5—2009)

This is the natal chart of Sri Dharmaraja; the Pandava King of Mahabharatha epic. In this chart the lords o 9^th (Mars) and 10^th (Venus) are conjunct in 10^th (Rajya) house; also they are conjunct with lord of birth-lagnam (1^st) house, Sun and the lord of dhana (2^nd house) Mercury, he was blessed with akhanda-raja-yogam and finally crowned as Kuru Emperor and enjoyed fully the benefits of raja-yogam during the periods of Venus and Sun, Moon and Mars, for over 40 years or more, till his final journey to heaven. His birth stat was Anuradha—1 paadam. He has Chandra Mangala yogam; and Budha Aditya-yogam in 10^th house (Rajya-sthana).

Rule : If Mars (Kuja) and Moon (Chandra) are conjunct or Mars is in kendram (1,4,7 or 10) from Moon and they are not debilitated or afflicted or other afflicted or debilitated planets are not conjunct with Moon or Mars or both, the person enjoys Chandra-Mangala yogam. He shall be very rich and prosperous and enjoy royal comforts all his life. Chandra, Mangala yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe Chandra-Mangala yoga-mutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, raja-yoga-adhikam bhaveth.

2) Ravi, Soumya yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe, Budha-Aditya yogamutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, vanijya-vardhanam. If it occurs in birth lagna, then Budha-Aditya yogam the Maha-raja yogam is enhanced. The person enjoys royal comforts in life and earns millions in business / profession.

3) He has Venus in his own house in Taurus and in Kendram (10^th house, Rajya sthana; Sri Naryana sthana). This is a Maha-purusha yogam, called Malavya yoga: Venus in its own sign or in exaltation, and in a kendra house – this is yoga fit for an emperor—the person is wealthy, loves life, sometimes self-indulgent, good marriage, strong sense of justice.

4) Moon was full and debilitated (neecha) in Vruschika (Scorpio); Saturn was in 11^th house (labham) from lagna and was in 8^th house (randhra; malefic) from Indu-lagna (Moon); Rahu was in dhana and kutumba-sthana (2^nd House) and Ketu was in 7^th house (Kendra; Sri Naryana sthana)--these caused him great misery and suffering of Aranya-vasa (forest dwelling for 12 years), Agnatha-vasa (secret life in Viraata Raja’s royal court for one year) and unhappiness in his married life and humiliation to his wife Queen Draupadi in the Kuru royal court in the hands of Duryodahana and Dussasana.

Today, I analyse here the horoscope of Lord Sri Ramachandra, worshipped by all of us as PURUSHOTHAMA (worthy person with all the BEST qualities). This chart is prepared based on the descriptions written by Maharshi Valmiki, the original author of Ramayana, in Sanskrit about the birth of Sri Rama. This is a very rare chart; this chart clearly shows Lord Sri Rama as an exemplary and a role-model (true hero) for mankind. Sri Rama is deemed to be the incarnation (Avatar) of God Sri Maha Vishnu. Place of birth : Ayodhya. Year : Sri Prabhava. Month: Chaithra. Day : Sudda Navami. Birth Star : Punarvasu.

Sri Rajeeva Gandhi’s Horoscope and Maha Raja Yogas

Part—4 (October—3—2008)

Today I continue to analyse the raja-yogams in the horoscope of Sri Rajeev Gandhi, (Prime Minister of India during 1985--1991 ) period. He was the grandson of Sri Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minster of India (till 1964). He was the eldest son of Smt. Indira Gandhi, the world-renowned lady-politician and very powerful administrator and Prime Minister of India till Oct--1984).

7) Pancha Graha Maalika- yogam : If 5 Planets are in consecutive houses, this yogam is formed.

Lagna adi baana-sabhai eka rasiga nava-khecharah, sthithasche pancha khetakhya Maalika-yogmamuchathe = If planets stay in a row in 5 houses starting from birth lagnam in a row, it is called Pancha-graha Maalika yogam. This arrangement of planets in found in a person’s chart in clockwise direction in this type of chart, the person enjoys raja-yogam (comforts and benefits in life. There are 5 planets like flowers in a bouquet in birth lagna (Leo).

8) BUDHA—ADITYA YOGAM : Aries (Mesham) is exalted house for Sun (Ravi); Leo (Simham) is own house for Sun; Gemini (Mithunam) is own house for Mercury (Budha); Virgo (Kanya) is own house and also exalted house for Mercury (Budha). So if Ravi and Budha are conjunct in any of these four houses, Budha-Aidtya yogam occurs. Ravi, Soumya yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe Budha-Aditya yogamutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, vanijya-vardhanam. If it occurs in birth lagna, then Budha-Aditya yogam the Maha-raja yogam is enhanced 10 times. This yogam occurred to him in Leo (own house of Sun) and in birth lagnam. Sri Rajeev Gandhi enjoyed royal comforts all his life.

9) Gaja-Kesari yoga : Gaja-kesari yogoyam Chandra-kendre Bruhaspathihi; Gaja-kesari yoga sanjatho, subha-yogam, satha aayu praapthihi If Moon is waxing and full / strong the yogam is strong and the person enjoys prosperity and royal comforts in life. This is very strong. If Jupiter and Moon conjunct in other house or Moon is waning and weak, the yogam is weak. Jupiter and Moon, if they form a strong Gaja-kesari yoga which, according to ancient texts makes one a "leader of their village, splendorous, intelligent, endowed with laudable virtues, roar like a lion in public assembly and will please the king / ruler of the land". Sri Rajeev ruled India as Prime Minister.

3)Sodara Bhaavam :-- Jataka Marthanda (sloka – Sanskrit verse) : THRUTHEEYAE SUKRA STHITHAU, BAHU SAHODARARA VAA BHGINEE-YUTHA; BHAVATHI LOCHNA-ROGEE, DHANAYUTHA, KRUPANSCHA-SADAA NARAHA = If Sukra (Venus) is in 3^rd house the person shall have sisters and less number of brothers; they are prosperous and lead happy life. He may suffer due to eye disease in later age. He is skillful, intelligent, talented and very rich. His marriage may be delayed but he marries a well-settled and rich person and their married life goes smoothly.

The lord of 4th is Mercury and is in his friend’s house in labham (11th house). 16. Raja yogam : Raja-yogo janma-Lagne ucha-graha sthithau, vasye uchaGraho yadi = If an exalted planet is in birth house, or sees (aspects) lagnam, he enjoys royal comforts in life. Venus is exalted in birth lagnam. 17) Kahala yoga : The lord of 4th house is Mercury; the lord of 9th house is Mars. They are in same house 11th (Labham). Mars is exalted.
