5) Nanak was born in Punjab in Lahore district in village Talwandi on the bank of Ravi river (now in Pakisthan). He was born in a Khatri, Hindu Kshathriya (caste of brave soldiers and fighters) family. His father was Kalu Chand and his mother was Tripta. Full Moon (exalted)-Saturn conjunction in Karma sthana (profession); this blessed him with mystic disposition, Even in his childhood Nanak was involved in deep contemplation. He always met Sadhus and discussed about God and religion. Sun is Atma-karaka and lagna lord and was in 4th house (Sri Narayana sthana) Scorpio (an insect sign); Mercury is the planet of intelligence; he was lord of Virgo, 2nd house (speech) and lord of Gemini, 11th house (wishes). He was conjunct with Sun forming strong Budha-Aditya yoga in 4th house (Sri Narayana sthana). Jupiter is the lord of 5th house (intelligence and skills) is beneficially positioned in 2nd house (speech). All these beneficial factors blessed Nanak with deep and versatile learning and persuasive eloquence; these enabled him to enlist thousands of people into his faith (new religion). 6) Two important kendras (4th house, Scorpio and 10th house, Taurus) have five planets in them. Full Moon (exalted) and Mercury are benefics; others Saturn, Sun and Mars are malefics. Mars is yoga-karaka (lord of 4th and 9th houses) positioned in his own house is benefic. Saturn is Kendra-adhpathi (lord of 7th house) and so has become a benefic. So all the five planets in these two beneficial Kendras (quadrants) have become beneficial.
Mars is martial planet; Mercury is planet of intelligence; Sun is royal planet and is atma-karaka – these are conjunct in the 4th house (sukha sthana), indicate his happiness and achievements in life. Full Moon (exalted was the best benefic and is significator of mental faculties and philosophical knowledge and functional benefic Saturn in 10th house (karma, action sthana) shaped him into a Guru (spiritual teacher and guide) endowed with great spiritual ideas and intuitions. These enabled him to be the founder of a new religion and a new sect with thousands of people joining his sect and following his religion.
