7) Dharma-karma adhipa yoga : Siddhartha had a powerful Raja-yoga called Dharma-Karma Adhipathipa (sama-agama) yoga. The lord of Bhagyam (9^th house; Psces ) is Guru (Jupiter) the lord of Rajyam (10^th house; Mesha) is Kuja (Mars). They are conjunct in 10^th house (Karma/rajya sthana. So this Maha-Raja yoga made him very rich and very generous and liberal. He was kind and benevolent to all persons who were associated with him. He taught yoga and dharma to all people; he sacrificed his royal life and as ascetic he taught dharma (righteous conduct) to people, and transformed criminals and killers like Angulimaala into most noble saints and his disciples.

8) Ruchaka yoga : This is a Maha-purusha yoga (a great and noble personality). Mars is in his own sign in Mesha and is in a kendra house from lagna (10^th house) and from Indu-lagna (Moon) in 7^th house (kendra). He was brave, and always the victor (spiritual) and won his enemies to his side and took them as his disciples. 9) Raja yogas: The lords of a kendra and a trikona house are in conjunction, mutually aspected or in reception. This is a combination of good fortune (trikona house; Sri Maha Lakshmi sthanam) and action (kendra house; Sri Narayana sthanam), so benefits are experienced during their periods. A raja yogam can be formed by one planet, and also by two or more planets. In this case of Siddhartha, Kuja (Mars) is lord of 5^th house (kona; Scorpio); Saturn is lord of Makara (Kendra; 7^th house, kendra), Guru (Jupiter) is lord of 9^th house (kona; Pisces), Kuja (Mars) is lord of Mesha(Kendra;10^th house), Venus is lord of Kendra (4^th house; Tula); thus 5 planets are conjunct in one house (Kendra; 10^th house) and together formed the most powerful raja yoga; also the lagna (Kona and Kendra) lord Moon is in 4^th house (Kendra; Tula); so he was a king and later a ruler of minds and souls of millions of people as Buddha (the great Enlightened). 4) Hari (Sri Naryanana) yoga : Both Jupiter and Venus are conjunct in Mesha (10^th house, Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana) from lagnam and (7^th house; kendra; Sri Narayana sthana) from Indu-lagna (Moon), This indicates the person has Narayana-amsa. Gautama Buddha is deemed as an incarnation of Lord Vishnu by Hindus. Na Vishnu Prudhiveepathi = Unless the person has Sri Narayana amsa, he can not become a ruler of a kingdom with all noble qualities. 5) Pancha-anana Yoga : This is also called Pasa yoga. If all the 9 planets are in 5 houses in the birth chart, it is called Panch-anana Yogam. So Gautama enjoyed happiness, health, wealth (spiritual), and high-stature all his life. Nava-grahe pancha-raasi gathau, Pancha-anana yogamuchyathe; thatha raja-yogameva prayachathi. Examples are given in the following charts. Saint-astrologer Parasara says : YADI BHAVATHI GRAHA-INDRAAHA, PANCHA RAASAU YUKTHAHA, AUBHA SUBHAYUTHO, VAA, NEECHA, SATHRU GRAHE VAA, ASUBHAM AKHILAM VINASAM, NAASA KEMADRUMAADI SSA; BHAVATHI NRUPATHULYO, YOGAM PANCHA-ANANOYAM = If all the nine planets stay in 5 houses (raasis), all the malefic effects in the horoscope are removed completely; malefic effects like union with malefic planets, stay in malefic houses, stay in inimical houses or ava-yogams like Kemadruma and such bad yogams are removed. Buddha’s ascetic denial of his body’s needs (demands) in extreme form are due to this benefic yoga Pasa yoga in his rasi chart.

6) Neecha-bhanga raja-yoga : Saturn is debilitated in Mesha (Aries); the lord of Mesha is Kuja (Mars) and is in his own house; also Kuja is in Kendra (7^th house) from Moon (Indu-lagna). So the debilitation is removed and Gautama enjoyed neecha-bhanga raja-yoga. The period of Saturn was prosperous for him and he enjoyed all the royal comforts in his teens and youth. Gautama Buddha was one of the greatest saints produced in India to spread human values and reform the practices like casteism, other superstitious practices in Hinduism prevalent in his period. He preached Dharma (right behaviour) as a reformed Hinduism. Later it got shaped into a separate religion “Buddhism”. He is adored by millions of people all over the Asian Nations as supreme God. Hindus worship him as one of the ten Avatharas (incarnations) of Bhagavan Sri Narayana.

Maha-raja yogas in his chart : (1) Gaja-Kesari yoga : Gaja-Kesari yoga : Moon and Jupiter are in opposition (mutually 7^th houses) causes strong Gaja-Kesari yoga. Gaja-kesari yogoya: Chandra-kendre Bruhaspathihi; Gaja-kesari yoga sanjatho, subha-yogam, satham aayu praapthihi. Results.—Many relations, polite & generous, builder of villages & towns or ruler over them ; will have a ever-lasting reputation even long after death. According to ancient astrological texts this yoga makes the person a "leader of his kingdom splendorous, intelligent, endowed with laudable virtues, can roar like a lion in public assembly and will be the king / ruler of the land". So this yoga enabled him to build a huge empire of his followers (Buddhists) and rule over their minds and souls. Here Moon is full and strong, the yogam is strong and the person enjoys prosperity and royal comforts in life. He was by birth the crown-prince of a Sakya royal dynasty (present-day Nepal).

2. Chandra-Mangala yoga : Here Mars (Kuja) is in his own house Mesha (Aries) and is in kendram (7^th house) from Moon, the person enjoys Chanra-Mangala yogam. He shall be rich and prosperous and enjoy royal comforts all his life. Chandra, Mangala yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe Chandra-Mangala yoga-mutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, raja-yoga-adhikam bhaveth. He was crown-prince of Sakya kingdom by birth. He had millions worth riches. 3. Kahala yoga : The lord of the 4^th and 9^th houses should be in the same house or kendram from each other and the lord of lagnam must be strong and well-disposed. This is Kahala yoga. The native will be daring and obstinate and will hold an executive/administrative/ruling position. rich & famous. The lord of birth lagna (cancer) is stong. Siddhartha, Gautama are the names given by parents. His father King Suddhodhana ruled over the vast Sakya kingdom (the present Nepal), with Kapilavasthu as his capital. His mother was Mayadevi; she died soon after Siddhartha was born. He was born in a royal garden called, Lumbini vana. He was brought up by his aunt Gautami; so he was named Gautama Buddha later.

Date of birth = April—14—0623 before Christ; Vaisakha punnami; noon at about 12 hrs. His birth star = Visakha—1 pada. Tuesday. Remainder of Guru dasa (Jupiter’s period) at birth time was 15 ys—1m – 6 days. Kaliyuga era = 2479. Latitude = 27*08’ North; Longitude = 83*05’ East.

Horoscopes of great persons with divine nature, like Bhagavan Sri Krishna, Bhagavan Sri Rama and Bhagavan Sri Gautama Buddha are elusive. They can not be analysed applying the ordinary principles and known combinations of planets described in the Vedic astrology texts of yore. King Sudhodhana consulted his court-astrologers to explain the new-born boy’s horoscope. They found 5 planets in Mesha (Aries), the 10^th house (Rajya sthana; Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana), The lord of birth lagna (Karkataka, Cancer) was Moon and he was in 4^th house (Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana). Moon was full (Punnami) and was in Libra (Tula), its lord was Sukra (Venus). Also Moon was aspected (7^th drushti) by 5 planets in Mesha (Sun, Jupiter, Mars, Venus and Saturn). So Moon, the lagna-lord was highly fortified (strengthened). Sun was exalted and is in Mesha (Aries). They predicated that the boy grows up to become either a great enlightened ascetic (sanyasi) or a mighty emperor (and conqueror of the entire world) after his 30^th year. He gets his research grants from USA agancies like NICH; NSF; NASA and runs a medical electronics research, development and sales firm with the funds he collects from American investors. He gets his monthly salary as the Managing Director and Chief Scientific Officer (C.S.0) of the multi-million dollars firm. Americans are deemed to be Mleschas (foreigners of different religion) by Vedic Astrology (of Maharshis Parasara and Bhrugu).
