3. Moon : Mihira bhavan samsthe ksheena chandre, krusa-anga; sathatha dhana viheenaha; krodhano, deena-vruthi apicha skalamoora sathgathaihi-reekshamano,bhavthi bahu daatha, dambikasyaa thyagseelaha = As a sanyasi he had a lean body but had stamina and strength; he had no craving for money; he was easily irritated when he found willful mischief or flaws in the conduct of his followers or students; he had spiritual mind dedicated to religion. He spent his money for charitable purposes; he helped many of his followers and students generously when they approached him for monetary help. His mother died in his early boyhood; he earned name and fame as a noble person.
Now I explain the effect of Moon (Chandra) in 12th house (vyaya; loss) = Lagna vyaye Sasii-phalam. Twelfth house (malefic) denotes losses and impediments, restraint and limitation, waste and extravagance, expenses, drudgery and deception, investments, donations, charities, separation from family, going to far away places, sorrow and sin, misery and misfortune, poverty, imprisonment, secret enemies, confinement in hospital, association, fraud, scandal, disgrace, secret sorrows, success through occult affairs, the feet, the left eye, the left ear, comforts of bed, debts, life in a foreign place and Moksha (final salvation).
General Effects:- The person may suffer from some deformity. He may be narrow- minded. He may be hard-hearted and mischievous. He prefers to lead an obscure life in solitude. He may have weak eye-sight. If the Moon is weak and waning and is conjunct with Saturn and is in 12th house, the person shall be lethargic and slothy. Note :- Presence of Maharaja yogas (beneficial) or Ava yogas (malefic) in the horoscope is not enough. The strength and effectiveness of the yoga is to be assessed. Even if a dozen yogas are present, if they are weak or spoiled by other malefic effects, like conjunction with or aspected by malefic planets (like Saturn) or the lords of the house staying in inimical or debilitated house or get combusted or the like, they do not give benefits to the person.
