RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.

Gandharva Yoga Part—74 (Mar—14--2009)

Rule.—If the lord of 10^th house stays in a Kama thrikona, the lord of lagna and Jupiter are in conjunction and if the Sun is strong, and is exalted and the Moon occupies the 9^th house, Gandharva Yoga is caused.

Benefits :— The person can attain great skill in fine arts. He / she shall be strong, hale and healthry. He / sheshall be pleasure-loving. She / he will be well-dressed, and decorated with gold jewelry studed with gems. He / she shall be famous. He /shall have full longevity (of above 68 years). Explanation :— Gandharva Yoga makes the person a connoisseur in fine arts such as music, dancing, painting, etc. Kama thrikona means the trinal houses from the 7^th house from birth-lagna, namely., 7^th, 11^th , and the 3^rd house from birth-lagna. The lord of 10^th house should occupy one of these houses in conjunction with Jupiter. The Sun must be strong and should be exalted (in Aries) and the Moon should remain in the 9^th house (Bhgyam; fortune) from lagna. If all these conditions are fulfilled, then the Gandhrava Yoga will be in strong and beneficial. Otherwise, a trace of the Yoga may be present rendering the person take some interest in these arts, but not make him an adept.

In this chart (1) The birth-lagna is Capricorn. (2) The 10^th house from lagna is Libra. Its lord Venus is in 4^th house from lagna. (3) The lord of lagna is Saturn and is conjunct with Jupiter in 11^th house (Laabha). (4) Moon is waxing and is in 9^th house from lagna. So the person has Gandhrva Yoga. ASHTA LAKSHMI YOGA

Yoga for the Eightfold Prosperity ( Ashta Laksmi Yoga ). If the North Node (Rahu) is in the 6^th house and if Jupiter is in Kendra house (quadrant) from birth-lagna, then this Ashta Lakshmi Yoga is formed = Shashta sthana gathe Rahu; Lagna Kendra gathe Gurau; Ashtalakshmee samayuktham ; Madhyavan Keerthiman Nara. The Eightfold Prosperity, whose symbols are the Eight Lakshmis, the Ashta Lakmis, the Ashta Vasus are :
1) Dhana Lakshmi - Wealth as prosperity. (2) Dhanya Lakshmi - Agriculture as prosperity; 3) Dhairya Lakshmi - Courage ". (4) Vijaya Laksmi - Victory "
5) Adi Laksmi - Power " (6) Vidya Laksmi Learning "
7) Gaja Lakshmi Will Power " (8) Santhana Lakshmi Children as prosperity
The native born under this yoga, enjoys the Eightfold Prosperity. Rahu and Jupiter should be powerful, however, to confer the full benefits of this yoga. Example :-- 1 Jupiter was in exaltation in cancer, the birth lagna (both Kendra and kona; Sri Narayana sthana; Sri Lakshmi sthana). Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra had all the noble qualties and is ever worshipped as Purushothama. He enjoyed all the benefits of Hamsa yoga. He was highly learned in many arts and sciences and also in warefare. He was Emperor of emperors and sole monarch of the entire Universe as Supreme God and avathaar of Bhagavna Sri Maha Vishnu. Rahu was in 6^th house. This is called Kodanda Rahu yoga. Jupiter exalted in birth lagna (both Kendra and kona) amd Rahu in 6^th house causes most powerful Ashta Lakshmi yoga. Sri Ramachandra has enjoyed all the benefits of this yoga.

Here is one important point to notse. The Raja-yogam is ruined if these exalted planets are related with other debilitated planets or any one of the exalted planets is in retrograde motion or is in neecha (debilitation) in Nava-amsa chart. He has Venus exalted in birth lagna and Mars exalted in 11^th house (laabha; prosperity). He has Ashta-Lakshmi yoga; Rahu is in 6^th house and Jupiter (the lord of birth lagna) is in 4^th house (Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana) . Both are powerful. He enjoyed prosperity and riches in his life, from his 32^nd year onwards. He also has Kodanda Rahu yoga . Example :-- 3 This lady has Jupiter in 4^th house (friend’s house) (Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana). Rahu is in 6^th house. So she has Ashta Laksmi yoga. She works as a teacher in a high school. Her husband works as an Associate Professor in a reputed College in Eluru. They have fertile agriculture lands, three houses and house-sites (inherited from parents). They are multi-millionaires and enjoy all comforts in life.
