Kuja Dosham-Malefic disposition of Mars-Part--8

PART—8 (August—18—2008)

Late Dr. B.V. Raman, a renowned astrologer, presented a unique formula to measure the exact intensity of "Mangal-dosha", on a scale of 100 points for each of the concerned malefic planets causing the dosha, in his books "Jaataka-Nirnay" and "How to judge a horoscope (vol. II)". Based on this formula, maximum "Mangal-dosha" in a chart may reach up to 337.50 points.

Though, many astrologers (specially in Northern India) do not consider 2^nd house while assessing the "Mangala-dosha", Dr. B.V. Raman and many other scholars of astrology insist on considering the 2^nd house also. While, the 2^nd house represents family and wealth on the one hand, it is also the "Marak-bhava" of the native. Based on the principle of "Bhaavat Bhavam", it is also the 8th from 7th house and thus represents the age of the spouse. If Mars is posited in the 2nd house, Mars aspects the "Saubhaagya sthaan" or "Mangalya sthaan" of the wife through its 7^th aspect. Through its 4^th aspect, Mars afflicts the 5^th house (house of progeny) and through its 8th aspect, it afflicts the 9^th house, the most important house representing the father, destiny and Dharma / Bhagya (Prosperity and luck) of a person.

The following explanation is based on Dr. B.V. Raman's formula and hence considers the 2^nd house also. It calculates "exact intensity" of "Mangala-dosha"/ "Kuja-dosha" (Malefic effect of Mars) in pure numerical terms in Rasi-charts / Bhava charts (Lagna kundli) of both the bride and groom and presents the detailed results in a tabular form. Lesser the difference in net intensity of doshas in both the charts, the better it is.

Theoretically, The "Mangali-dosha" (or, "Kuja-dosha", or, "Bhauma-dosha"), should not only be measured in Rasi / Bhaava chart (Lagna kundli) but also in Moon-chart and Venus chart too. But, in practice, it becomes too complicated to adopt these calculations. The Rasi / Bhaava chart has got the maximum importance in all matters and thus most of the astrologers consider Rasi / Bhaava chart only. However, if you wish to get these tabulated calculations for Moon chart and Venus chart also, we can provide then at an extra fees. Hereunder we give a sample of Kuja-dosha assessment. He comes from a noble and rich family. He has insatiable sex-desire. He is debaucherous. He enjoys luxuries and comforts; he earns name and fame. He may be a poet, artist, or cine-actor..

Venus is in 7^th house is very beneficial. Jataka Marthandam (sloka) : Makare sapthame Sukra sthithe, --- su-yogam., ashesh-dhana-prapthi, bhagya-yogam viseshadaha = Sukra (Venus) in 7^th house gives many benefits. Rahu is in 3^rd house, is Kubera yoga ; he earns riches worth thousands of crores and is as rich as Kubera, the treasurer of Hindu deities. Sun and Mercury are conjunct in Gemini; own house of Mercury. This is Budha-Aditya yoga; he earns billions in business. Ketu is in 9^th house and aayu-kaaraka, Saturn is in 8^th house (aayu), Jupiter is in birth house; so he has long-life-span. The lord of 4^th house (Kendra) is in 5^th house (konam); he enjoys prosperity and riches. Venus is in Bhagyam (9^th ) from Moon; this is dhana-yogam. Moon and Mars are in mutually 7^th houses is Chandra-Mangla yogs ; he earns billions. Jupiter is in Makaram (Neecha); debilitated. The planet Mars which gets exalted in the sign (Makaram) where Jupiter is is debilitated is in a Kendra (7^th house) from the Indu-lagnam (Moon). So he has Neecha-bhanga-raja-yoga. Moon is debilitated in scorpio. Lord of the sign (scorpio) Mars, occupied by debilitated Moon, is in a Kendra house (7^th ) from Indu-lagnam (the house Moon exists). So this is another Neecha-bhanga-raja-yoga. Jupiter in birth lagnam bestows him raja-yoga all his life, especially during Jupiter’s period.=====================================
