RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.

Dhana Yogas Part--109 (May--06--2009) DHANA(WEALTH) YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY. Several of the aforesaid yogas appear generally in many a horoscope. Because they appear so often, they are yogams, that can only lead to sizeable results, when they are related to others. I already mentioned that there are literally thousands of yogas. I summarized above some important yogams. One must realise that this is only a very small selection. Any Raja-yoga (beneficial yoga), like the conjunction of lords of 9^th and 10^th , or Gaja-Kesari yoga or Maha Lakshmi yoga can be enjoyed by the person, only when any one of these yoga-karaka dasas (beneficial periods) occurs in the prime of his / her life (say between 16 & 66 years), the person can enjoy the raja-yogam fully. If the yoga-karaka dasa (period) occurs in childhood (before 16 years or in old age (after 66 years), the person can not enjoy fully the benefits of raja-yogam. Also the birth lagnam and its lord must be strong. Also the planets involved in yogam must be well-disposed, strong and devoid of malefic effects like dagdha (combusted), neecha (debilitated) or in malefic houses like 3,6,8, and or 12; they should not be conjunct with or (seen) aspected by malefic planets (Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, Mars and waning (Amavasya) Moon. Then only the Raja-yogams give beneficial results. Otherwise, the yogam is spoiled and wasted. The Dhana karakas or significators of wealth are Sun, Mercury and Jupiter. So to begin with the most important rule is that Jupiter, Mercury and Sun should be well placed in the horoscope for the native without malefic durshits or assocaition to be wealthy.
Rule : "SUN'S ARCH RIVAL SATURN SHOULD NOT BE IN THE 2^nd HOUSE OR ASPECT 2^nd house OR ASSOCIATE WITH THE 2^nd LORD FROM THE LAGNA AND THE MOON."
