It bestows to the native long arms, big eyes, knowledge of law and religious scriptures. His spouse is faithful to him and he leads a pure and moral life. In this chart the 9th house is Cancer and its lord is Moon. He is full and is in 7th house (Taurus), exalted. So she has long arms, big eyes and has knowledge of religious scriptures and astrology. Her husband is a learned, religious, noble and good natured person; he is faithful to her. She leads a pure & moral life. 29) Chandra Soumya yoga :- Mercury is in birth lagna and full Moon (Punnami) is exalted and is in 7th house. Part—3 June-29--2010 24) Sankha Yoga : Rule :-- If the lords of the 5th and 6th are in mutual Kendras and the lord of Lagna is powerful, Sankha Yoga occurs. Benefits.— The person is fond of pleasures, humanitarian, blessed with good wife, children and lands and houses. He is righteously inclined, doing good deeds. He is learned in sciences, and lives upto a good old age (above 81 years). In this chart, Lagna is strong. Jupiter is lord of 5th house (Pisces) and he is in his own house in Pisces. Mars is the lord of 6th house (Aries). Mars is in 4th house from Jupiter (kendram) and Jupiter is in 10th house from Mars (Kendram). So you enjoy the benefits of Sankha yoga fully. 25) Kula-vrudhi Yoga:- Rule :—Benefic planets should be in the 5th house from birth-lagna and / or the Sun and / or the Moon. 17) Sarala Yoga :- Rule : The lord of 6th, or 8th or 12th is in 8th house causes Harsha yoga. Benefits : This yoga makes the person long-lived, fearless, happy, invincible, learned, a terror to his enemies, wealthy, famous, celebrated and prosperous. Mars is the lord of 6th house (Aries); he is in 8th house from lagna. So she has Sarala yoga and enjoys its benefits. Sage-astrologers Maharshis Parasara and Lomasa do not favour the idea that the sting from an evil lordship is removed entirely as a result of the lord occupying another malefic house. On the other hand, the intensity of malefic effect is modified. According to Maharshi Parasara: (1) When the lord of 6th house is in 6th house, the person’s relatives become his enemies; he would befriend outsiders and may seek their help to harm his enemy-relatives. (2) When the lord of 6th house is in 8th or 12th house, the native hates learned persons; he becomes sickly. He may go after other’s wives; he may take pleasure in causing violence in the family or in the society. Therefore the astrologer should carefully examine the intrinsic evil nature of the ownership of the planets, while interpreting these three yogas, Harsha, Sarala and Vimala yogas.
18) Durdhara Yoga :- Rule :- If there are planets on either side of the Moon, Durdhara yoga is formed. The person is bountiful. He is blessed with much wealth and conveyances. She enjoys the benefits of this yoga all her life.
19) Dhana Yoga :- In this chart, 5 planets from Meena (Pisces) are in savya-disa (clockwise direction); she has Pancha-graha Maalika yogam from Lagnam as well as Aarudha-lagnam; she enjoys Maha-raja-yogam. Another Raya-yogam Rule for Raja-yogam :-- If the lord of a house is in 2nd house from that house, or in kendram (1,4,7,10) or konam (1,5,9) or laabham (11th house) and if this arrangement is found valid for 4 or 5 planets, the person enjoys total raja-yogam (royal comforts in life). Here the lord of Pisces in Jupiter and he is in same house (1st house, from Pisces; both kendram and konam). The lord of Taurus is Venus and he is in 5th house from Taurus (konam); the lord of is Mercury and he is in 5th house from Gemini (konam); the lord of Cancer is Moon; he is full and is exalted and is in laabham (Taurus)(11th house) from Cancer. The lord of Leo is Sun; he is in Kendram (4th house) from Leo. She is a millionaire; and she enjoys all royal comforts in life.
20) Adhikya Yoga :- Rule : Benefics Jupiter and Venus are conjunct in the same house or are in mutually 7th houses (opposition); then they have full directional strength and cause Adhikya yoga. This makes the person superior in society in education, nature, profession and riches . She has Jupiter in his own house (Pisces) and Venus is in opposition to Guru (mutually 7th houses). This causes a powerful Adhikya yoga; she enjoys it benefits fully. 21) Damini yoga :- Rule : If all the seven planets (except Rahu and Ketu) occupy six houses, Damini yoga is formed. Benefits:-- According to great astrologer-writer Sri Varahamihira of 4th century A.C., in his famous astrological text, Bruhath Samhitha enunciated the results of this yoga: the Damini yoga makes the person charitable, always helping others and protects cattle. Maharajha Kalayana Varma of 10th century A.C. {king of Vyaghrapada kingdom (in present Madhya Pradesh)}, famous astrologer –writer; author of Saravali; glorifies this yoga. In addition to the above benefits, this yoga gives the person wealth, fame and intellect also. In this chart all the seven planets (except Rahu and Ketu) are in six houses. So Damini yoga is present. Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra had this yoga in his horoscope.

Lagne Surya samayukthe, randhre Kuja samanvithe, nrupathulya sukhopetho deergha-ayur-yogam-apnuyath = If Sun is in birth lagnam and Mars is in 8th house, the person enjoys royal comforts and has long life span, more than 75 years.
2. Raja-yogam due to Guru : If Guru is in own house or is exalted and is in Kendra or konam ; the person shall have good personality, beauty, good moral character and very prosperous. Guru is in 5th house (Sri Mahalakshmi Sthanam) and is (seeing) aspecting lagnam, beautiful & healthy. 4 Raja-yogam due to Chandra :Full moon is in 7th house (kendram; Sri Narayana sthanam) exalted; she gets good husband and her marital life shall be happy. Her husband flourishes very highly in life due to Moon and becomes a business tycoon.
5. Sunapha yogam : Mars is next house to Moon. So she prospers highly in her life; a billionaire.
6. Parivarthana (Exchange) yoga : Mars is in Gemini; Mercury is in Scorpio. So both Mars and Mercury give her beneficial results. She has palacial house; & prosperity
7.Dhana Lakshmi yoga : The lord of 9th house (Bhagyam) is Moon; she is full and exalted. So she is a multi-billionaire. 8) Vidya yogam : Guru is bestower of higher education; he is in his own house in 5th house (Sri Lakshmi sthanam); the lord of 4th House (Sani) Vidya house is in Bhagyam (9th). So she has strong Vidya yoga. She earned a M.C.A. from University campus Engineering College in India; later she earned a M.S. Degree from a reputed ivy University in U.S.A. (one in top five in rank).
9. Maha-rani-yogam : She leads the life of a Queen during the Guru’s period. She has mainly male-children due to Guru in his own house in 5th house (progeny).
10. Royal Luxuries : Raja-yogam: The lord of .Rajyam (10th house) is Sun and is in birth lagnam; she enjoys royal luxuries in life and occupies top-most position in her profession, during Guru dasa (2012—28) .
11. Neecha bhanga raja yogam : Venus is debilitated in Kanya. (1) Mercury is the lord of Virgo; he is in birth lagnam. (2) Guru is in his own house in exaltation house of Venus. Guru aspects Sukra. So this is an example of Neecha bhanga raja yoga. raja-yoga (royal) for her. Her marriage was delayed by 3 years, due to Sukra in Neecha house, in Virgo.
12) Su-puthra prapathi yogam : Suthra (Rule) :- PUTHRA-STHAANA GATHAE VITHA-NAATHAE, POORNA-BALA-ANVITHAE, GURU SAMDHRYSHTAE, PUTHRA PAATHI = IF THE LORD OF 2ND HOUSE STAYS IN 5TH HOUSE & IS STRONG & IS WITH OR SEEN BY GURU, HE SURELY HAS CHILDREN. Jupiter is the lord of 2nd house (Sagittarius). He is also puthra-kaaraka) bestower of children. He is in 5th house (Pisces) in his own house and is 95% strong. So she has a highly gifted, hale and healthy son as her eldest child.
13) Rise of her husband to multi-millionaire high level :- Rule :- Sapathama sthanage subha-graha sthithau, sva, ucha, mithra sthana gathe, kalathre (bharthru) akahanda raja-yoga prapthi; visesha dhana prapthi sambhavam = Her husband rises to the level of a billionaire due to the strength of her Kalathra-karaka Venus. He is the lord of Taurus, the Indu lagna and also the 7th house from birth lagna, Full Moon is in 7th house in exaltation has very strong shadbala. Venus, the lord of Indu-lagna and also Kalathra-karaka, is in 5th house (Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana from Indu-lagna; so these highly beneficial aspects can lift her husband to highest level of prosperity. Venus has the beneficial aspect (7th drushti) of Jupiter (in his own house); this enhanced the benefits to her husband many-fold.
If Jupiter is well positioned in the Shadvargas and is powerfully aspected by the Moon, the woman's husband will get a responsible and lucrative position as minister or as an equal to a King. In this case her husband has become the founder-owner of a 100 million-dollars worth medical electronics firm. He started his venture within three years of their marriage and had an exponential rise in business career within next five years.
14) Simhaasana Yoga :- Rule : Lagna adhipe Karma rasi gathe, karma adhipe janma lagna gathe, thaa vubhau lagnagevaapi sukha-jeevana, bhagyavaan, raja-yogavaan = If the lord of birth lagna is in 10th house and or the lord of 10th house is in birth lagna and is strong and well disposed Simhasana yogam occurs.
The word Simha means “lion” while “asana” means sitting posture. Therefore, the Yoga refers to the sitting-posture of the Lion indicating the effects of the Yoga in ruler-ship and administration. There are two conditions and a few variations as how is Yoga formed. YOGA TYPE 1 :- 1. Lord of 10th house is placed in Lagnam. In this case, Lagna becomes stronger, with all its impact such as fame, power, wealth and administration. A person will sit or head the organisation, group or be a prominent figure in society. Lagna is a seat of Shiva and enlightenment, so in a spiritual charts, this Yoga will give huge followings, based on the subtle divisions. For example, in Siddhamsha chart, it will surely give spiritual leadership in cases of spiritually fortified charts, due to the person acquiring sidhi. The lord of 10th house (Leo=Simham) is Sun (Surya) and he is in birth-lagnam (Vruschikam = Scorpio). So you have strong Simhasana yoga; since Surya is related to the rule of the world; you shall be ruler or administrator of a big company or MNC firm and weild power and earn millions of dollars.
15). A woman will have a great political power if the quadrants are occupied by benefics and the seventh house falls in a masculine sign. Mercury is in lagna; Full Moon is in 7th house (exalted) in her natal chart. She has no interest in politics; she has interest in Hindu religion and giving utmost care to her children and family and so she declined job offers.
16) Bhagya yogam :- Moon is the lord of Cancer, the 9th house ( Sri Lakshmi sthanam; Bhagyam; luck wealth and fortune). He is full and is exalted in 7th house (husband), Kendram (SrI Narayana sthanam). Lakshmi-sthaanam thrikonancha; Vishnu-sthaanancha kendraaha. thayo sambandha mathrena , Raja-yoga adhiakam, bhaveth =1,5,9 houses from birth lagnam (ascendant) are called trikonams (trines); 1,4,7,10 houses from birth lagam are called kendrams (quadrants); if the lords of trikonam and kendram are conjunct in same beneficial house, the person is blessed with Raja-yogam; if these lords exchange their places also in good houses, they give many benefits, the person gets longevity, health, wealth, happiness, name and fame.
2) Also Sun is lord of 10th house (Sri Narayana sthanam). He is in birth lagnam (Sri Lakshmi Narayana sthanam). (3) Sani is the lord of 4th house (Aquarius) , Kendra (Sri Narayana sthanam); he is in 9th house (konam; Sri Lakshmi sthanam). So she gets full benefits of this yoga. HOROSCOPE ANALYSIS OF PANDIT JAWAHARLAL NEHRU.
14) Some intellectuals jocularly called him as a celebrated “jail-bird”; there was truth in this. Birth-lagna has strong Moon (its lord) in it. Two benefics Venus and Mercury aspect (7th drushti) the 10th house (karma-sthana); Venus and Mercury are both subjected to a powerful papa-karthari yota (hemmed between two malefics), Mars in 3rd house and Sun in 5th house. The Sun is in Scoprio, a keetaka (insect) rasi and is in a Kendra (4th house) from malefic Saturn. His intellectual output in prison is prodigious. Mercury is a planet of intellect and is hemmed between Mars and Sun. This enabled him to write huge volumes of books while in jail; they included world famous books like Discovery of India and Glimpses of World History. These are compendiums of history and culture coupled with his brilliant analysis of events in history. They reflect his genius and in-depth knowledge and extensive wisdom. 15) Nehru’s political doctrines are also revealed in his horoscope. Mars is in 3rd house (of intellect). 7) Moon is birth lagna (Kendra); Venus and Mercury are in Kendra (4th house). Venus is strong in moola-trikona in his own house. These factors caused a glorious Raja-lakshna yoga. This made him a high-order Aristocrat. This yoga also enabled him to rule India for over 17 years (1947—64) as a very good administrator; dedicated and selfless and patriotic. 8) Mars is the lord of 5th house (Scorpio); he is in 3rd house. Jupiter is the lord of 6th house; he is in his own house (Sagittarius). Mars and Jupiter are in mutual kendras. Jupiter is in 4th house (Kendra) from Mars. Mars is in 10th house (Kendra) from Jupiter. This caused a powerful Sankha-yoga. This yoga bestowed him human sympathies, wide culture and internationalism. He always had international out look and aspired world-peace. He used his good offices to halt fighting and bring amiable solutions to problems like Suez Canal issue. Nehru drafted five principles called Pacha-seela for international peace and co-existence. It was approved by the then Chinese Prime Minister, Chou en lie and a treaty of peace was signed with India in 1960. During 1962, Chinese aggression on India gave a death blow to these principles. 9) Venus is in his own house (Libra) in Kendra (4th house) from both birth lagna and Chandra / Rasi lagna. This causes a powerful Malavya yoga. This is one of the Maha-purusha yogas, eulogized by the great expert-astrologer (of 3rd century A.C.) and the famous author of Bruhath Jataka. Malavya Yoga : When Venus is in its exaltation sign, own sign or is in kendra to lagna and Moon, native will be wealthy, handsome, well built body and will be happy with his family. He will have good comforts in life. Bahu kala-kusalo, vimalokthikruth, su-vadana, madananubhavaha, pumaan avani-nayaka-maana, dhana-anvitho, Bhrugu-suthe, Malavya yoga-yuthe (Jataka Marthandam). The person shall be wealthy, loves life, sometimes self-indulgent; he shall have good marriage, and happy married life; she / he possesses strong sense of justice. Nehru was an epitome of all these noble qualities. 10) Srika (wealth) yoga: Rule :-- Lagna-adi Kendra-sthane subha-graha sthithe subha-yogadha; yath Srika yoga muchyathe = This occurs when only natural benefics (like Jupiter, Mercury, Venus or waxing Moon) are situated in the Kendra houses - comfort, good luck, riches and abundance. Sri means wealth; ka means causing. The yoga is stronger if the benefics are more in number. These benefics should not be afflicted in any manner. In Nehru’s horoscope, Three benefics Moon (in lagna), Venus and Mercury (in 4th house) are in kendras. But the papa-karthari yogas for these planets decreased the power of this yoga.

My own comments on Jawaharlal’s horoscope :- This horoscope is interesting and illustrious. (1) It has typical Raja yoga; they can lift the person to peaks of glory, wealth, prosperity and success. Example : (1) Strong Moon in birth lagna and in his own house. (2) Mars is the lord of 10th house (Rajya; profession) is in upachaya and he aspects powerfully (8th drushti) the 10th house. (3) Venus is in his own house (Libra) in 4th house (Kendra, Narayana sthana) conjunct with beneficial Mercury and can cause millions of wealth, properties, big bungalows and many vehicles and royal comforts and many more. (4) All these benefits were rather ruined by Paapa-karthari yogas (hemmed between malefics); these beneficial planets had failed to deliver the benefits. Examples : Lagna and the raja-yoga kaaraka Moon are hemmed between (papa-karthari yoga) malefics Rahu in 12th house and Saturn in 2nd house. Venus and Mercury and 4th house are hemmed between (papa-karthari yoga) two malefics, namely Mars in 3rd house and Sun in 5th house. 5) Sun had subha-karthari yoga, called Ubhayachari yoga. The 5th house and Sun therein are hemmed between two benefics Venus and Mercury in 4th house and very beneficial Jupiter in 6th house. This caused the increase of popularity (gain of name and fame) for Jawaharlal, as soon as the main period of Sun started. 6) Several factors are responsible for his gain of enormous popularity. (i) Sun had beneficial Ubhayachari yoga. Jupiter is his own house in 6th house, Venus is in moola-trikona sthana (very beneficial disposition) in his own house, Libra and is in beneficial 4th house. Mercury is in 4th house (Sri Narayana sthana) conjunct with beneficial Venus in moola-trikona. Mars is in upachaya and powerfully aspected the 10th house (Rajya), Aries; Mars is lord of Aries. All these five highly beneficial factors contributed for the very high-popularity of Nehru all over India; he was made an Idol all over India.

12) Interim Government :- Mars period started during 1945. Mars was a yoga-kaarka; he aspected powerfully (8th drushti) the 10th house (Rajyam, Aries); Mars was also lord of Aries (10th house, Rajya-sthana), During main period of Mars and sub-period of Mars, Jawaharlal became the Vice-President of the Indian Interim Government. 13) First Prime Minster :- Rahu was in 12th house (loss); but the disposition from Mars was very strong and significant. As a result the beneficial influence of Mars (major-lord and sub-lord) prevailed. This enabled Jawaharlal Nehru to become the first Prime Minister of independent India during 1947. 14) Death :- Rahu was in 12th house (vyaya; death and loss). Ketu was in enemy house. So during the main period of Rahu and sub-period of Ketu (May—1964) Jawaharlal died in Simla due to brain hemorrhage.

Maha Raja yogas in his horoscope :- :-- Any Raja-yoga (beneficial yoga), like the conjunction of lords of 9th and 10thhouses, or Gaja-Kesari yoga can be enjoyed by the person, only when any one of these yoga-karaka dasas (beneficial periods) occurs in the prime of his / her life (say between 18 & 65 years), the person can enjoy the raja-yogam fully. If the yoga-karaka dasa (period) occurs in childhood (before 15 years or in old age (after 65 years), the person can not enjoy fully the benefits of raja-yoga. Also the birth lagna and its lord must be strong. Also the planets involved in yogam must be well-disposed, strong and devoid of malefic effects like dagdha (combusted), neecha (debilitated) or in malefic houses like 3,6,8, and / or 12; they should not be conjunct with or (seen) aspected (drushti) by any malefic planet. Then only the Raja-yogam can give beneficial results. Otherwise, the yoga is present but is spoiled and wasted. I noticed in my experience of 48 years as an astrology-practitioner, that in 98% of the horoscopes some four to nine different types of Raja-yogas are present; they are weak or ruined by other malefic effects. 7) Imprisonment :- In Nava-amsa chart, Sun was conjunct with (malefic) Saturn. So he landed in prison with the commencement of main period of Sun. 8) Death of father :- Sun was pithru-karaka (significator of father). Rahu was in 12th house (vyaya; loss). So during the main period of Sun and the sub-period of Rahu, Jawaharlal suffered the death of his father. 9th house is the house of father. Jupiter was the lord of the 9th house (Pisces). He was aspected (7th drushti) by (malefic) Rahu. The sub-lord Rahu was in 8th house (randhra; hole) from Sun (pithru-kaaraka). These factors resulted in the loss of his father. 9) Re-imprisonment : During the main period of Sun and by the end of Rahu sub-period Jawaharlal was again imprisoned. He was released from jail during 1935; during the main period of Sun and sub-period of Venus. 10) Death of wife :- Venus was afflicted by the 3rd drushti of Saturn. Venus was kalthra-kaarka (significator of wife). Due to these factors, during the period of Sun and sub-period of Venus, his wife Smt. Kamala died after prolonged illness. In Rasi the major lord Sun owned the 2nd house (house of family) and malefic Saturn was in that 2nd house. In Nava-amsa Sun owned the 7th house (Leo), the house of wife and married life. Besides malefic Ketu was present in that 7th house. The sub-lord Venus was of course Kalathra-kaarka. Between themselves, Sun was in 2nd house (maraca-sthana) from Venus; Venus was in 12th house (vyaya; loss) from Sun. All these factors together caused the death of his wife. 11) Detention : Nehru’s last detention in Yeravada jail occurred in the main period of Moon and the sub-period of Mercury. Both these planets were hemmed between malefics. Moon had Rahu in 12th house and Saturn in 2nd house and was thus afflicted. Mercury was had Mars in 12th house and Sun in 2nd house and was afflicted. The sub-lord Mercury owns the 12th house (Gemini) and the 3rd house (Vrigo) and so adhipathya-paapi (malefic due to lordship of two malefic houses). Mercury was conjunct with Venus, the lord of 11th house (upachaya). At that time Rahu was transiting radical Saturn. Saturn was in 2nd house from Moon and so was malefic.
