12) Interim Government :- Mars period started during 1945. Mars was a yoga-kaarka; he aspected powerfully (8th drushti) the 10th house (Rajyam, Aries); Mars was also lord of Aries (10th house, Rajya-sthana), During main period of Mars and sub-period of Mars, Jawaharlal became the Vice-President of the Indian Interim Government. 13) First Prime Minster :- Rahu was in 12th house (loss); but the disposition from Mars was very strong and significant. As a result the beneficial influence of Mars (major-lord and sub-lord) prevailed. This enabled Jawaharlal Nehru to become the first Prime Minister of independent India during 1947. 14) Death :- Rahu was in 12th house (vyaya; death and loss). Ketu was in enemy house. So during the main period of Rahu and sub-period of Ketu (May—1964) Jawaharlal died in Simla due to brain hemorrhage.

Maha Raja yogas in his horoscope :- :-- Any Raja-yoga (beneficial yoga), like the conjunction of lords of 9th and 10thhouses, or Gaja-Kesari yoga can be enjoyed by the person, only when any one of these yoga-karaka dasas (beneficial periods) occurs in the prime of his / her life (say between 18 & 65 years), the person can enjoy the raja-yogam fully. If the yoga-karaka dasa (period) occurs in childhood (before 15 years or in old age (after 65 years), the person can not enjoy fully the benefits of raja-yoga. Also the birth lagna and its lord must be strong. Also the planets involved in yogam must be well-disposed, strong and devoid of malefic effects like dagdha (combusted), neecha (debilitated) or in malefic houses like 3,6,8, and / or 12; they should not be conjunct with or (seen) aspected (drushti) by any malefic planet. Then only the Raja-yogam can give beneficial results. Otherwise, the yoga is present but is spoiled and wasted. I noticed in my experience of 48 years as an astrology-practitioner, that in 98% of the horoscopes some four to nine different types of Raja-yogas are present; they are weak or ruined by other malefic effects.
