HOROSCOPE OF JESUS CHRIST – ANALYSIS
The festival of Christmas is coming on Dec—25; so on this holy occasion, I like to publish the horoscope analysis of Jesus Christ, in my blog. My articles on Jesus Christ’s horoscope shall start from the Christmas, Dec—25—2010. I invite all the Christian brothers and sisters all over the world to read these articles; I welcome their useful comments and suggestions. Part – 6 (Dec—30—2010)
My Opinions : Many do not know whether Christ was a historical reality or only mythological person. But the preaching ascribed to him captured the hearts of millions of people all over the world. Knowledgeable Hindu and Buddhists are not seized by the preaching of Christ. All his teachings of morals are normal principles of dharma (good conduct) in vogue in these two ancient religions which had their roots in India. All common people knew them well. Bhagvadgeetha says much more of human values than any Christian religious text. The stories of Ramayana, Maha Bharatha, and Bhagavatha of Hinduism and Jataka tales of Buddhism have spread the values of morals of Hinduism and Buddhism in the general population all over the world for more than five thousand years. The teachings of Christ did not impress the enlightened and cultured Hindus. They had the opportunity to read and understand the monumental original works (and their translations) of Hindu religion by great saint-scholars Veda Vyasa, Adi Sankara, Ramanuja and the like. These works embodied great and grand philosophical truths ever discovered by mankind.
Not only Hindus but also many scholars of different nations who had the luck to read these works and understand them marveled at the superb philosophy found in these great texts.
Lord Sri Krishna preached Arjuna the principles and characteristic features of a true DEVOTEE & IDEAL person, in the 12th Chapter of Geeta. Such an enlightened and noble person does not hate or bear ill-will to any living creature. He looks on all with love and compassion. He is free from delusions of “I, Me & Mine”. He reduces himself to zero. Pain and pleasure are equally acceptable to him. He readily forgives the wrong-doer, even as he expects to be forgiven himself. He is always content with what he has and is unshakable in his resolve. He dedicates his intellect, mind, and everything to Lord Sri Krishna. He never harms his fellow-humans; they are therefore never afraid of him. He does not allow himself to be perturbed by the world. He is free from exultation, sorrow, anger, fear, greed, and the like. He seeks nothing for himself. He is pure, dedicated and skillful in all his noble actions. He renounces every undertaking. Although he is firm in his resolve, he is indifferent as regards the success or failure of his efforts and actions; that is to say he is not anxious of the final result or outcome. He is alike to friend and foe. Honor and insult are same to him. He is silent and content with what may come. He moves freely, as if he is alone. He has a steady mind at all times and places. A devotee who behaves like this is very dear to God : All these ideas are expressed in the following verses: (Sanskrit slokas)
*Adveshtaa sarva bhootaanaam, maitrah , karuna avacha ;
nirmamo, nirahankaara, sama duhkhaha, sukhaha, kshamee ;
*Santhushta sathatham, yogi, yataatma dhrudha-nischayah ;
mayyarpitha mano, budhi; yo madh bhaktha same priyaah;
*Yasmaanno dwijathe loko, lokaanno dwijayathe chayaah;
harsha, amarsha, bhayo, udvegaiahi muktho, yaah sacheme priyaah;
*Anapekshah, suchirdakshaa, udaaseeno, gatha-vyadhah ;
sarva-aarambha parityaagi ; yo madh bhakta same priyaah;
*Yo nahrusyathi, nadveshthi, nasochathi, nakaanksyathi,
subha – asubha parityaagi ; bhakthimaan ya same’ priyaah ;
*Samah satvacha, mitrecha, thadha maanaa, avamaanayoh,
seetha, ushna, sukha dhuhkhashu samassanga vivarjithaah
thulya nindaa, sthuthihi, mouni, santhushtho yenakena chith;
aniketa, sthiramathihi, bhakthimaan ya same’ priyaah ! Are there any principles superior to these in any religion. No! But illiterate people can not understand these noble precepts. They are explained as stories in epics like Ramayana and Mahabharatha with suitable examples.
Yet the achievements of Christ are great. It was said the Christ learnt yoga practice from Hindu scholars from Hindusthan (India). Christ gave a moral system to people of western and northern hemisphere, who were steeped in superstition, barbarism and irreligious practices. Most of them were nomadic tribes and uncivilized people; they were of inferior intellect and could not understand philosophy and religious truths. His preaching is elementary and easy to understand by common mankind. The ten commandments in Bible are most elementary truths of morals and right conduct found in Hinduism. Do not kill; do not usurp neighbours’ properties like wife, house, land or cattle.; do not steal; do not commit adultery; trust only one God; do not worship idols or pictures; show mercy and compassion; do not bear false witness; honour your father and mother and treat them with care and love. These are already in Hindu religious texts and epics like Ramayana and Maha Bharatha.
