General Effects :- The person will wield authority; he is affluent. He may have gifted children and may be happy. He may not be a dutiful son; but otherwise he is generous and famous for his good qualties. If either Jupiter or Mercury stays in conjunction with Mars in the 9th house, the person may be highly learned in religion and spiritual lore. If Mars is conjunct with Mars in 9th house, the person shall have two wives and foreign residence. This combination can also cuase him proficiency in law. If Mars in conjunct with Mars in the 9th houe, the person is sexually addicted to many women; he is of wicked nature. He may be self-seeking, stubborn and impetuous. Note :- Presence of Maharaja yogas (beneficial) or Ava yogas (malefic) in the horoscope is not enough. The strength and effectiveness of the yoga is to be assessed. Even if a dozen yogas are present, if they are weak or spoiled by other malefic effects, like conjunction with or aspected by maefic planets (like Saturn) or the lords of the house staying in inimical or debilitatede house or get combusted or the like, they do not give benefits to the person. Similarly, malefic planets may not give malefic results if they are conjunct with or aspected by benefics like Jupiter and or stay in their own house or in exalted house. .

He will be unfortunate (no prosperity). If Mars be exalted (in Capricorn) or be in his sign (Aries or Scorpio) the native will have illicit sexual relations with the wife of his preceptor / teacher.Explanation :-Ninth house inter alia signifies father. The malefic Mars in ninth will take the life of the father of the native early in the latter's life. It is also said that Mars in the ninth will make the native unfortunate. Mars is a powerful malefic and is capable of this effect but this will not happen in the following circumstances:-
(1) When Aries or Scorpio is the ascendant and Mars is in the ninth as lord of the ascendant.
(2) When Sagittarius is the ascendant and Mars is in the ninth as lord of the fifth house.
(3) When Cancer is ascendant and Mars is in the ninth as lord of the 5th and 10th houses.
(4) When Leo is the ascendant and Mars is in the ninth as lord of the 4th and 9th houses.
(5) When Pisces is the ascendant and Mars is in the ninth as the lord of 2nd and 9th houses.
The dispositions mentioned at (3), (4) and (5)will give rise to a powerful Rajayoga giving name, fame and wealth to the native.
We are also doubtful if a powerful and benefic Mars (that is when he is exalted or in his own sign) will tempt the native to have illicit sex-relations with his preceptor's wife. This may happen only when such Mars is associated with or aspected by Saturn, Rahu or Ketu.
