RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.
Mridanga Yoga Part--96 (Apr—23--2009) Rule : Mr1danga yoga is formed (1) when the lord of birth lagna is strong and well-disposed; (2) when the lord of Nava-amsa occupied by an exalted planet must occupy a kona (trine) or Kendra (quadrant) in an exalted or friendly house. Effects : The person is respected by rulers (king/government), famous and attractive. He commands lot of influence. Example : 1 This was the natal chart of a British Emperor. He was born at London; 0n Dec—14—1895 at 3-15 GMT. The birth kagna was Libra and the lagna lord, Venus, was in lagna in his own house in moola-trikona (best place in own house). Venus and strong and well-disposed. Jupiter was in 10th house (Rajya sthana; Cancer) and was exalted. Jupiter was in his own house (Sagittarius) in Namsa-lagna, in moola-trikona. In Rasi chart the lord of Sagittarius (Jupiter) was in Kendra (10th house) and was exalted. He enjoyed all the benefits of Mridanga yoga.

Venus is exalted in Pisces in birth-lagna, in Rasi chart. Venus is in Libra in his own house and in moola-trikona in Nava-Amsa chart. In Rasi chart the lord of Libra Venus is exalted in Pisces in birth lagna The lord of birth lagna (Pisces) is Jupiter and he is in 4th house (Kendra) and is weel disposed. He has Mridanga yoga. He also had second Mridanga yoga in his chart. Mars I exalted in Capricorn in 11th house (laabha). In Nava-amsa Mars is in Capricorn (causing Vargothamamsa; beneficial) exalted. The lord of Capricorn is Saturn and he is in 4th house (Kendra) in his friend’s house (Mercury) conjunct with Jupiter in Rasi chart. The lord of birth-lagna in Rasi is Jupiter and he is strong and is in 4th house (Kendra) in Gemini in his friend’s (Mercury) house.
Example: 3 This is the natal chart of Sir Ashuthosh Mukharjee (1864--19260, a very distinguished scholar and was the first Indian to occupy the exalted position Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court during (1904—23) period. He had Mridanga yoga. This chart shows many more Raja-yogas. Chandra-Mangala yoga (Moon and Mars conjunct in Aries). Gaja-kesari yoga (Moon and Jupiter in mutual opposition); Parivarthana yoga (Mercury-Venus exchange houses); Kodanda-Rahu yoga (Rahu in 6th and Ketu in 12th houses); Pancha-anana yoga (all planets occupy five houses). He got benefits of most of these yogas.
