Illustration 4 :- These horoscopes show the person has no children; so he adopts a child. Rules :- 1) If the 2nd house (family) and or 5th house (of children) is the house of Mercury (Gemini or Virgo) or of Saturn (Capricorn or Aquarius), the person may not have progeny (Children). 2) If (malefic) Saturn and Mercury stay conjunct in the 2nd house (family) and / or 5th house (children) , the person may not have progeny (Children). 3) If the lord of 2nd house and or 5th house is conjunct with Saturn or Mars, the person may not have progeny (Children). 4) In any horoscope it is not beneficial if the houses 1, 2, 5 and 9 and / or lords of those houses are associated with Saturn and or Mercury. Then the person may not have progeny (Children). 5) If Jupiter (significator of children) is well-disposed and strong in the above four cases, the person will have an adopted child.

Madhavan :- In his natal chart the birth lagna is Virgo. The 5th house is Capricorn (lord is Saturn). Venus is the lord of 2nd house (Libra). He is conjunct with (malefic) Mars. Saturn and Mercury are conjunct in 2nd house (family house). So he had no children. But Jupiter (significator of children) is strong and conjunct with benefic Moon and both are in 10th house (Kendram; Sri Narayana sthanam) and is very beneficial. So he had the yoga (benefit) of an adopted son. Praveen :- Saturn is in birth lagna. The 5th house is Gemini and its lord is Mercury. Jupiter (puthra-kaaraka; significator of childen) is the lord of Pisces, the 2nd house (family) and he is conjunct with Mercury. Saturn has the malefic aspect (10th drushti) on Jupiter. Due to all these factors he had no children. Since Jupiter is in 10th house (Kendra; Sri Narayana sthanam) and conjunct with a benefic Mercury he had the yoga (benefit) of an adopted son. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Astral Remedies :- (1) In epics and puranas, it was stated that performing Puthra-kameshti yoga can bestow children. King Dasaratha and King Drupada performed this yagam and were blessed with progeny. (2) Now-a-days thousands of persons perform Santhana Gopala Homa / Havana for begetting children. So it is good to perform this Homam to Santhana Gopala Swami with devotion once every year, till the baby is born. 3) Chant Sri Gopala Manthram 108 times daily after morning bath in pooja mandir before the photo / picture or idol of Bhagavan Sri Krishna and offer him flowers and milk. This is to be done till the baby is born and completes one month of age. Manthra for having children:
1). Sri Krishnam, Devakisutam, Govindam, Vaasudevam, Jagatpatim,
Dehime Su-tanayaam Sri Krishna twam-aham sharanagatah ! 2) Sri Gopala Krisna Deva, Sarvabadha-vinirmukto, dhana, dhanya, sutaanvitah
Manushyo tat-prasadena bhavishyati; paahimam, rakshamaam.
3) Om hrim lajja jjalyam thah thah lah om hrim svaha ! Hare Krishna !
