Though Jupiter, a very beneficial planet, is in birth lagna, there is a
very strong Ava yoga, called Raakshasa Yoga in his
horoscope. This made him a highly
notorious demon ruler and devil king who massacred millions of Hindus and
Sikhs. According to the great
astrological text Sambhu Samhitha, Rakshasa Yoga arises when the
malefics are dominant in Kendras and when benefics, though occupying Kendras
are in the malefic Nakshtras (constellations) or Nava Amsas of malefics. When this yoga is present in the horoscope of
an ordinary man, he destroys his own family by his violent or unscrupulous
behaviour. While in the horoscope of an emperor like Aurangazeb, the
consequences of this yoga become fatal to the interests of the empire and lead
to the downfall of the nation. Aurangazeb’s horoscope is an appropriate
illustration of Rakshasa yoga (demon). The 5th house, Gemini, has
Paapa-karthari yoga, and the 5th lord, Mercury, is with debilitated
Sun and is in Libra.
So Aurangezeb killed his bothers and imprisoned his father to usurp the
throne and seized the power; thus he destroyed his family members. He lacked the vision of Akbar and the tact of
Zehangir. Rahu is in moksha sthana (12th house) is good but is in
the constellation of the Moon (lord of the 6th house) and occupies a
malefic sign. He was an extremely
orthodox and bigoted Muslim. He had very high degree of religious intolerance.
His treatment of Hindus and Sikhs was severe and barbarous. He has Guru
Chandala yoga due to presence of Jupiter in Rahu’s Nakshatra
(constellation). He re-imposed the
detested zejiya tax heavily on Hindus and Sikhs. On the promulgation of the imperial edict,
his palace was besieged by masses of clamorous petitioners; and on the order of
Aurangazeb, the palace gates were closed and thousands of petitioners were
massacred mercilessly. On the occasion
of a state visit to the great mosque, Zuma-maseed, many people who had blocked
up the streets in crowds in order to levy remission of the heavy tax were
trampled to death by his elephants.
Rakshasa yoga coupled with Guru chandala yoga plus Rahu’s malefic
position are the triple combination for his iconoclastic fury. Hindu fairs and religious festivals were
strictly prohibited. Thousands of idols of Hindu gods, goddesses in the temples
and sacred shrines and the temples were totally destroyed; Mathura Sri Krishna
birth place temple, Kasi Viswanath temple and Sri Rama birth place temple at
Ayodhya and several others were demolished and mosques were built on the
sites. His firmness and severity,
cold-bloodedness and violence to Hindus and Sikhs were unparalleled in the
history of India. This is reflected in
his horoscope. -----
