RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.

Maha-raja (King) Yogas (3) (June—7-2009) Sunday Saturn and birth lagna in Capricorn; Jupiter in Cancer makes a person have power and money.

Sloka : Kuja thunge, Arka, Indu Dhanushi; Yama-lagnecha ku-pathihi; pathir bhoomechanyaha; kshithi-sutha vilagne saaksha-sani; sa-chandre, saure as the; sura-pathi Guruau chaapa-dharage; sva-thungasthe bhaana udayamuyayathe, kshithi-pathihi = (1) If Kuja (Mars) is in Makara (Capricorn) and Ravi (Sun) and Chandra (Moon) are in Dhansu (Sagittarius) and if birth-lagna rises in Makara (Capricorn) with Sani (Saturn) in Makara, the person shall be a king (Maha-Raja). If in this planetary combination mentioned above, (2) the Moon (Chandra) is conjunct with Kuja (Mars) in birth lagna; or (3) if Saturn (Sani) and Moon (Chandra) are conjunct in the 7^th house of zodiac (Libra) and if Jupiter (Guru) is in Sagittarius (Dhanasu) and if Sun and birth-lagna are in Aries (Mesha) and the Sun is exalted in Aries (Mesha), the person shall be a king (ruler). 2 these examples I have not mentioned the other planets and an intelligent astrologer can easily fix the positions of other planets (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Rahu and Ketu) in their proper houses and can predict the Raja-yogas in any horoscope.

Explanation : Three separate arrangements of planets are mentioned in this Sloka (Rule) for a person to become a king (Maha-raja). (1) If birth-lagna rises in Makara (Capricron) and Saturn and Mars are conjunct in Makara and Jupiter, Sun and Moon are conjunct and occupy Dhansu (Sagittarius); that is Vyaya (12^th house) from lagna; the person has chance to become a king (ruler).

(2) If birth lagna rises in Makara and Kuja (Mars) and Chandra (Moon) are conjunct in Makara and if Suni occpies Dhanasu (Sagittarius), the person born the can become a king / ruler. (3) If birth lagna rises in Aries (Mesha) nad Kuja (Mars) is in Aries (Mesha), his own house and Sani (Saturn) and Chandra (Moon) are conjunct in Tula (Libra) and Jupiter (Guru) occupies his own house (or moola-trikona) in Dhanasu (Sagittarius), the person can acquire royal status and power. The author of the Sloka (Stanza) said Yama lagna. This may mean the own houses of Sani (Saturn), namely Makara (Capricorn) and Kumbha (Aquarius). Maharshi Bhatothpala (saint-astrologer) and Maharshi Mandavya support Makara (Capricorn) as Yama-lagna. RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.

Maha-raja (King-making) Yogas (2) June—6—2009

Saturn in Aquarius ; Sun in Aries; Moon in Taurus; lagna in any 3 makes a king.

Sloka : Yame Kumbhe, Arkae Ajae, Gaavi Sasine (Chandre), thareva thanugai Nruyuka simhaali-sthaihi, Sasija, Guru vakrai nrupathayaha; yama, indu thungae angae Savithru, Sasijau shashta-bhavanae Tulaja, Indu-khshetraihi Sasith, Kuja, Jeevaischa Narapau = If Sani (Saturn) is in Kumbha (Aqarius), own house; Ravi (Sun) is in Mesha (Aries), exalted; Chandra (Moon) is in Vrishabha (Taurus), exalted; and birth lagna rises in one of these three houses; and if Budha (Mercury) in Geminni; own house; Guru (Jupiter) is in Simha and Kuja (Mars) is in Vruschika (Scorpio), own house; this planetary combination causes royalty for the native; that is the person becomes a king (Maha-raja; a ruler). Explanation :--(1) If Saturn (Sani) and Chandra (Moon) are in exaltation and birth-lagna rises in one of these houses (signs) Libra or Taurus and (2) if Budha (Mercury) and Ravi (Sun) stay in 6^th house (from birth-lagna) and (3) if Sukra (Vemus) is in Libra, own house; Kuja (Mars) is in Mesha (Aries), own house; and Guru (Jupiter) is in Karkataka (Cancer); two Maha-raja yogas are formed. Example :1

Example :2 :-- The persons born in such combinations of planets shall be Maha-rajas / Maha-ranis (King / Queens; rulers) of kingdom.

The great saint-astrologer Maharshi Mandavya (3800 BC) said (see his sloka = Sanskrit verse below) that if powerful birth lagna or Chandra is in Vargottama amsa and is aspected (drusti) by for or more planets (except Chandra), the combinations of planets produce mighty rulers (kings; present-day Presidents, Prime Ministers or Military dictators) = Vargottama-gathe lagne, Chandre vaa Chandra-varjithai Chatura adyai gruhai drushtae dva-vimsathihi smruthaha ; 22 such planetary combination are possible with birth-lagna and 22 are possible with Chandra (Indu-lagna). Vargottama is the 1^st, 5^th and 9^th nava-amsas of movable, fixed and common signs (houses of zodiac).

Example :1 Birth-lagna, Mars, Moon and Venus are in Vargottama (these are in same houses both in Raasi and Nava amsa charts). In Nava amsa chart Jupiter (9^th drushti), Saturn (7^th drushti) aspect Amsa –lagna and Mars is in Amsa-lagna.

Mercury (exalted) in 9^th house (Bhagyam; fortune). He is a millionaire. He is religious and a philanthropist. He donated liberally to Anna daana (feeding poor) schems run by temple trusts and orphanages. He is intelligent, learned and skillful. Sun (Neecha-bhanga Raja-yoga) and Venus in own house (Moola-trikona) in Libra in 10^th house (Rajya; profession) bestowed him a good profession with decent salary. The strength of Dhana-yoga is reduced to 65% due to 7^th drushti of Saturn (malefic) on 9^th house and 3^rd drushti on Moon and the 5^th house. Jupiter’s 5^th drushti on birth–langa and 9^th drushti on Moon and 5^th house are beneficial.

DHANA YOGAS (WEALTH) in VEDIC ASTROLOGY

Kodanda Rahu yoga :- If Rahu is in 6^th house and Ketu is in 12^th house, this yoga is formed. This yoga bestows success over enemy, but also causes worst difficulties from his enemies. He also suffers a lot of persecution due to enemies. But he overcomes them all in the end. Because Ketu is in 12^th house, if he is otherwise pious and with sterling character he has a chance of attaining Moksha (freedeom from cycle of birth and death).

This is the horoscope of Dr. C.D.Deshmukh. He was former Governor of Reserve Bank of India, Union Finance Minister, Vice-Chairman of Planning Commission and an important member of Committee which drafted the Constitution of India. He was a renowned Professor of Economics. He has a powerful dhana yoga. Jupiter is exalted in 11^th house (Cancer). (2) Saturn is exalted in 2^nd house (dhana sthana). (3) Budha-aditya yoga :--Sun and Mercury are conjunct forming Budha-Aditya yoga in 5^th house (Kona), Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana. Ravi, Soumya yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe Budha-Aditya yogamutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, vanijya-vardhanam. If it occurs in birth lagna, of in 5^th or 9^th houses (Sri Maha Lakshmi sthanas) then Budha-Aditya yogam, the Maha-raja yogam is enhanced. He enjoys royal comforts in life. (4) GAJA—KESARI YOGA : Rule:-- Cancer is own house for Moon and is exalted house for Jupiter. If Moon and Jupiter are conjunct in cancer or in mutually 7^th houses (in opposition), the person enjoys GAJA—KESARI yogam. Gaja-kesari yogoyam Chandra-kendre Bruhaspathihi; Gaja-kesari yoga sanjatho, subha-yogam, satha aayu praapthihi; na samsayaah If Moon is waxing and full / strong the yogam is strong and the person enjoys prosperity and royal comforts in life. This is very strong. Taurus is exalted house for Moon and if Jupiter and full Moon are conjunct in Taurus Gaja-Kesari yogam occurs. (5) Kodanda Rahu yoga :- If Rahu is in 6^th house and Ketu is in 12^th house, this yoga is formed. This yoga bestows success over enemy, but also causes worst difficulties from his enemies. Because Ketu is in 12^th house, if he is otherwise pious and with sterling character he has a chance of attaining Moksha (freedeom from cycle of birth and death). 6) Subha yoga (Best Beneficial) : Lakshmi-sthaanam thrikonancha; Vishnu-sthaanancha kendraaha. thayo sambandha mathrena , Raja-yoga adhiakam, bhaveth

1,5,9 houses from birth lagnam (ascendant) are called trikonams (tridents); 1,4,7,10 houses from birth lagam are called kendrams (quadrants); if the lords of trikonam and kendram are conjunct in same beneficial house, the person is blessed with Raja-yogam; if these lords exchange their places also in good houses, they give many benefits, the person gets longevity, health, wealth, happiness, name and fame. Mercury is the lord of lagna (both Kendra and kona) and is in kona (5^th house0< style=""> He enjoyed royal comforts, name and fame and prosperity all his life. SVAYAM-KRUSHI-DHANA-ARJANA YOGA (3). Rule : If the lord of 2^nd (Dhana) house is in a Kendra or kona from the lord of birth-lagna 0r the 2^nd lord is a benefic (Jupiter, Venus, Mercury or waxing and strong Moon) and is either in exaltation or conjuct with an exalted planet, a strong Dhana (wealth) yoga is formed Example--1 :

In this chart the birth-lagna is Gemini. Its lord is Mercury. He is exalted in Virgo (4^th house from lagna; Kendra). The 2^nd (Dhana) house is a benefic Moon. Moon is waxing and 80% strong. He is in 7^th house (Kendra) from lagna-lord Mercury and is in 10^th house (kenra) from lagna. So he had a strong Dhana yoga and was the richest person.

Example—2 :- This is the natal chart of Bhagavan Sri Ramachandra. Cencer is birth-lagna. The 2^nd (Dhana) house is Leo. Its lord Sun is in exaltation in Aries and is in Kendra (10^th house) from lagna. Sun is in kona (9^th house) from 2^nd (Leo) house. As an emperor he earned wealth from kings and people as taxes; he spent it for the welfare of people only.

Rule : If the lord of the house in which the lord of the Nava-amasa occupied by the lord of birth-lagna (ascendant) is, must be strong and join a Kendra or kona from the lord of 2^nd (Dhana) house or stay in his own exaltation house, a strong Dhana (wealth) yoga is formed. He is in 9^th house (kona) from Jupiter (the lord of Pisces) second (Dhana) house in Bhaava chart. The person started a small business during 1930 with fifty rupees. By 1982, he had business worth a million rupees in Eluru and a own house. He developed the business and earned the wealth by his own efforts and hard work.
