Horoscope Analysis of H.H. Swami Jnananandaji
The Saint and the Scientist (1896 – 1969)
Part – 6 (Sept—30—2009)
6. Jupiter : Sura-guru navame, manujothamo, bhavathi bhupathi-thulyasya; dhana, suchihi; vivdha kaavya-katha su-vinodabha, prachura keerthi-dharo, dhanavaan, sukhi = Jupiter in 9th house give him very excellent qualities and noble nature; he received respect from rulers both in India and abroad; he lived a majestic life; he had no dearth for money when he needed; he was highly learned in philosophy, religion and in science; he earned name and fame at international level; his father lived a long and a prosperous life. Addenda on Jupiter in 9th house : Now I describe the effect of Guru (Jupiter) in the ninth bhaava. Lagnath navame Guru-phalam. Ninth house is a very beneficial house (kona; Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana) and denotes faith, wisdom and divine worship; fortune or luck (bhagya), philosophy, religious and philosophical beliefs, meditation, intuition and forethought, places of worship, sacrifices and charity, father, preceptor (Guru), teaching, Dhanna, grand-children, dreams and visions, knees; communication with spirits, long journeys, voyage, air travel, higher education, foreign travel.
Effects : Views of renowned astrologers : 1) Saint-Astrologer Maharshi Parasara (Great grand-father of Pandavas and Kauravas of Mahabharatha epic; father of Maharshi Veda Vyasa) wrote : (sloka = Sanskrit verse) :-
GURU NAVAMAE, MANJOTHAMO, BHAVATHI BOOPATHI THULYA, DHANA, SUCHIHI, VIVIDHA KAAVYA, KATHA SU-VINODA, BHAGYA, KEERTHI, DHANAVAAN, SUKHI = IF GURU IS IN 9TH HOUSE & IS WELL DISPOSED, THE PERSON (HE / SHE) IS VERY NOBLE, BEST-NATURED, & BENEVOLENT; HE / SHE ENJOYS LUXURIES OF A KING & IS VERY RICH; HE / SHE IS AN EXPERT WRITER, POET & SCHOLAR; HE IS CLEAN IN HABITS & BEHAVIOUR; HE EARNS NAME & FAME; HE / SHE IS A MULTI-BILLIONEER; HE ENJOYS LOVE & PATRONAGE OF HIS FATHER; HIS FATHER ENJOYS HEALTH, WEALTH & LONGEVITY.
2) Bhrigu Sutras- by saint-astrologer Maharishi Bhrigu (3500 BC):-- Suthra (44) :-
Dhaarmikaha. Suthra (45) :-- Thapasvee, saadhutha, udaaraha, dhyaanikaha, pancha-thri-dasa varshe yajna, yaaga, krathu karthaha; pithru-deergha-aayuhu; sath-karmee, prasiddha; aneka-prathishtavaan; baju-jana-paalakaha, = The person will perform religious and charitable deeds, will take interest in meditation and will be pious and wealthy. He will perform religious ceremonies like yajnaas and yaagas in his 35th year. His father will be long- lived, he will be righteous and will receive respect and honour in many ways. He will give protection to many.
Explanation :- The above Sutras are very logical and at every point. Beneficial results have been attributed to Jupiter in the ninth house because as a natural benefic he improves all the good significations of this auspicious house. Still better results would be experienced if Jupiter is in his own sign or in his sign of exaltation. If Jupiter is in one of his own signs, by being lord of 9th in the 9th house, he will give rise to a powerful Rajayoga Maha Bhagya yoga giving name, fame and wealth to the native. If Jupiter is in his sign of exaltation (Cancer), the ascendant will be Scorpio and Jupiter will be in the ninth house as lord of 2nd and 5th, giving rise to an extremely powerful yoga Maha Bhagya yoga for prosperity and fame.
3)Brihath Jataka by Varhamihira (325 AC) :--The native will be a great devout and philosophical.
4) Phala-deepika by Manthreswara :--The native will be wealthy, blessed with children, famous, anxious to perform religious rites and a minister of the king.
5) Saravali by Maha-Raja Kalyana Varma (10th century A.C; king of Vyaghrapaada kingdom) :-- The native will worship family gods, will be learned, handsome, a minister of the king or commander of the army and a recognised leader.
6) Chamatkar Chintamani by Narayana Bhatt (5th century AC) :-- The person will own a palatial mansion. He will be a favourite of the king and devotee of priests / Brahmins. He will be loved by his near relations.
7) Jataka Kalanidhi : DHAARIMKA, THAPASVI, BAHU-PUTHRA, YAGNA-KARTHA, ANUSHTAANAPARA, DAANA-DHARMA-PARA, DHANIKA, PITHRU-DEERGHA-AAYU, DHARMA-KAARYA-ASAKTHA = When Guru is in 9th house, the person is noble, good natured, and just; he does penance to God; he will have many children, he does Yagnams ( religious rituals giving offerings to gods and angels), he does religious rituals regularly and with devotion and dedication; he is charitable & helps needy; he is very rich; his father enjoys comfortable and happy life and very long life-span; he has interest in noble deeds. If Guru is in his own house (Pisces or Sagittarius) or in his exalted house (Cancer), the benefits will be a thousand fold.
My views :-All the above astrologers are in agreement that Jupiter is very favourable to the native when he is situated in the ninth house. -------------------------------------------------
7. Saturn : Vyaya-sthithe Mande, daya-vihino, nidhano, vyaya-arthaha, mandalaso, neecha-janaanuyathaha; narogo, bhangogathaha; sarva-sokhyaha = He did not earn money for his self; he always faced huge expenditure for noble endeavours and had to seek the financial sources; his life in western countries made him to closely live with westerners; who according to vedic astrology are mlechas, devoid of religious conduct prescribed in Hindu scriptures. He did not enjoy life’s pleasures; he actually denunciated them and chose ascetic life. Addenda on Saturn in Saturn in 12th house :- Sutras 49 Pathithaha; vikala-angaha; Suthra 50 : papa-graha-yuthe nethra-chedaha; Suthra 51 : subha-graha yuthe, sukhee, su-nethraha, punya-loka praapthihi; Suthra 53 :- papa graha-yutha, naraka-loka praapthihi; Suthra 53 :- apathra-vyaya-kaari, nirdhanaha = If Saturn is in the twelfth house, the native will be sinful and will have affliction in some part of his body. If Saturn is associated with a malefic the native will have defective eye sight. If he is associated with a benefic the native will be happy, will have good eye sight and will go to heaven after death. If he is associated with a malefic the native will go to hell, will incur wasteful expenditure and will be poor.
Brihat Jataka: The person concerned will suffer degradation.
Phaldeepika: The native will be shameless, poor, childless and stupid and some part of the body of the native will be deformed.
Saravali: The native will be sinful, gossiper, hard hearted, mischievous and humiliated and will incur wasteful expenditure.
Chamatkar Chintamani: The native will be shameless and will have small eyes. He will be happy in foreign travels. If Saturn is in 12th as lord of the ascendant, the native will destroy his enemies.
My views : Saturn in 12th house gives only malefic results. (to be continued tomorrow). ----------------------------------- You can get my full particulars from my web-site : www.jyothishi.com.
