4) Jupiter aspects (9th drushti) the 2nd house and the Saturn in it. This denotes his noble humane nature and responsiveness to feelings and or opinions of the persons he deals with. Jupiter is in 6th house, in Sagittarius, his own house. So Nehru achieved greatness on his own efforts and reached the pinnacles of achievement and glory on his own efforts. Also this disposition of Jupiter causes Harsha yoga. This yoga made him fortunate, happy, invincible, physically strong, hale and healthy, wealthy, famous and afraid of sinful deeds. The saint-astrologers Maharshis Parasara and Lomasa did not favour this concept that the sting arising from an evil lordship could disappear entirely as a result of the lord occupying his own dusthana (malefic house); the intensity of the malefic effect is somewhat modified.

5) Guru Chandala yoga :- Jupiter is in 6th house (sathru; enemy house) and conjunct with a malefic Ketu. This made Nehru an “agnostic”. He was plain and truthful. He never made any pretentions that he had an insight into the mysteries of the infinite. Rahu was in 12th house; Jupiter aspected (5th drushti) the 10th house (Aries) in Rasi. Moon was in birth-lagna. In Nava amsa, Jupiter was aspecting (5th drushti) both Venus and Moon (conjunct in Sagittarius). Jupiter also aspected (7th drushti) the Nava amsa lagna. Due to these planetary dispositions, Nehru imbibed a deeply religious spirit, in the sense that unwavering faith in progress, in noble cause, in good ideals, in human good-nature, and human destiny. All these are closely allied to a firm faith in a Providence. This faith sustained him in all circumstances.

Opinions of ancient expert saint-astrologers :-

Now I describe the effect of Guru (Jupiter) in the sixth bhaava. Lagnath shashtame Guru-phalam. Sixth house denotes enemies, cousins (jnaathis), sickness, diseases, nursing, food, service, employees, subordinates or servants, debts, cattle, tenants, enemies, maternal uncle, miserliness, intense anguish, litigation etc.
Effects : Views of renowned astrologers : 1) Saint-Astrologer Maharshi Parasara (Great grand-father of Pandavas and Kauravas of Mahabharatha epic; father of Maharshi Veda Vyasa) wrote : (sloka = Sanskrit verse) :-

SANGEETHA-NAATYA-HATHA CHITTHA-VRUTHI, KEERTHI-PRIYO, ARI-JANA PRAHARTHA, PRARBDA-KARYA LASKRUTH NARASYAATH, DEVA-GURU YADI SATHRU-SAMSTHAE = IF GURU (JUPITER) IS IN 6TH HOUSE, THE PERSON ( HE / SHE) HATES MUSIC, DANCE & FINE ARTS; YEARNS FOR NAME & FAME; VANQUISHES / DESTROYS ENEMIES; HAS FIRM FAITH IN SUPERSTITIONS. HE / SHE IS FREE FROM DISEASES; STURDY, HALE & HEALTHY.

2) Bhrigu Sutras- by saint-astrologer Maharishi Bhrigu (3500 BC):-- Suthra (32) :-

Sathru-kshayaha; jnaathi-vrudhihi; pouthra-adi-darshanam; vrana-shareeraha; Guru subha-graha-yuthe roga-abhavaha (arogyavaan). Suthra (33) :- Guru papa-graha yuthe, papa-kshethre vaatha, saithya-adi-roga-peedithaha. Suthra (34) :- Manda-kshethre, Rahu, Ketu yuthe maha-rogaha. = The native will destroy his enemies, there will be growth of the members of his family (some have interpreted this to mean increase of nephews and in-laws), he live long to have grand-children; he may have marks of wounds on his body. If Jupiter is in conjunction with a benefic, the native will be healthy (free from diseases). If Guru is associated with a malefic or is in the house of malefic, the native will suffer form rheumatism or diseases due to cold. If Jupiter is in the sign of Saturn (Capricorn or Aquarius) in association with Rahu or Ketu the native will suffer from diseases of the worst type.
Explanation :- According to above Sutras Jupiter as a natural benefic will give good effects in regard to the significations of the sixth house unless he is afflicted. This sixth house is not a significator of children or grand children. It is, therefore, not understood how the effect will be realised if Jupiter is in the sixth house. The sixth house is an evil house (dusthana) and if Jupiter is there as a lord of an auspicious house, the significations of that house will be adversely affected.
3)Brihath Jataka by Varhamihira (325 AC) :- The person concerned will be without enemies.
4) Phala-deepika by Manthreswara :- The native will destroy his enemies, he will be lazy, he may get humiliated, will take interest in recitation of manthras and will be clever.
5)Saravali by Maha-Raja Kalyana Varma (10th century A.C; king of Vyaghrapaada kingdom) :-- The native will win over his enemies, will be famous but humiliated, lazy, will gain name and fame through his wife and will suffer from diseases like hyperacidity.
6) Chamatkar Chintamani by Narayana Bhatt (5th century AC) :-- The native will destroy his enemies, get happiness 'from his wife but not from his maternal uncle. He will always be sickly. His mother will also remain sickly.
7) Jataka Kalanidhi : SATHRU-KSHAYAM, JNAATHI-VRUDHI, POUTHRA-DARSANAM, HAASYA-PRIYAUDARAE-ROGAM = When Guru is in 6th house, the person shall have his enemies ruined, his cousins shall flourish, he lives long to enjoy the company of his great grand-children; he loves humor; he may suffer gastro-intestinal diseases.

My views :-The above astrologers have given both favourable and unfavourable results of Jupiter in the sixth house without taking into account the malefic or benefic associations. In this respect the results attributed by Bhrigu Sutras are more logical and reasonable except those on which I have already commented.

6) Saturn was in the 2nd house; this made him extremely sensitive and fastidious. He detested indiscipline and disorder. Sometimes he was very severe and authentic in his ideas and speeches and actions.

Opinions of ancient expert saint-astrologers :-

Bhrugu Sutras 27-31: If Saturn is in the sixth house, the native will have learning and there will be destruction of enemies. The native will have full financial and agricultural prosperity. If Saturn is associated with Mars, the native will travel far and wide and will enjoy Raja Yoga of a moderate order. If Saturn is in the 6th as lord of the 8th house, the native will suffer from Arishta (reduction in longevity) and rheumatic troubles and shooting pains. He will also have marks of injuries in the body.

Brihat Jataka: The person concerned will be powerful but will be overpowered by his enemies.

Phaldeepika: The native will eat a lot, will be wealthy and proud.

Saravali: The native will eat a lot and will be pssionate, handsome, courageous, evil minded and conqueror of his enemies.

Chamatkar Chintamani: The native will vanquish his enemies; he will own cattle like cows and buffaloes and will suffer loss of his uncle.
