Bhagavan Goutama Buddha--Horoscope Analysis
Part-13 May--02---2011 Monday

9) Buddha had Parivrajaka yoga (Ascetic): Ekaraasi sthithaithu chathradhibhi birbalyuthair jahaah, pruthaghviryagauh shakya ajeevika bhikshu vurdha chakra nirgandha vanaysanaha; mahye jnaya guru kshapakara sita prabhankareenau kramaath balibhi samah; parijithai sthastha swamibhihi prachyuthaihi= When there are four or more planets in one house, the person born may become an ascetic (sanyasi) of one of these types; Sakya, Aajivaka, Bhikshu, Vridha, Chakra, Nigandha or Vanayasana, when Mahaya, Gnya, Guru, Kshapakara, Sita, Prabandhakari, or Ina are powerful respectively. The parivrajaka yogas are determined by the most powerful planets. When these planets have suffered a defeat, the person will renounce the Parivraja (ascetic life) afterwards.

He also has strong Parivraja (Ascetic yoga). Karma-sthanethu, chathvaro graha sthishtanthi che thathaa Parvrajaka yoga praapthi; ithi nischayaah (Jataka Marthandam) = If 4 or more planets occupy the 10th house (Karma sthana; profession) the person becomes an Ascetic.

Gautama Buddha had five planets in Karma-sthana (10th house; Rajya-sthana). Saturn was debilitated and stayed in 10th house; also Sani, the lord of 7th house for familiy life (Makara) was aspecting Moon. So he renounced his family life and took Sanyasa-deeksha (oath of asceticism). The powerful Kuja (Mars) in his own house (Mesha) with Saturn in 10th house caused Buddha to become a Sakya sanyasi, who wore saffron (red hue) coloured robes. 10) Sun was atma-kaaraka; he was lord of 2nd house (Simha) and was exalted in Mesha in (10th house) karma-sthana. Mars (Kuja) was lord of 5th house was in his own house Mesha in karma-sthana. Saturn (Sani) was the lord of 7th house was in debilitation in Mesha (Aries) in karma-sthana (10th house). Venus was lord of 4th and 11th houses and was in karma-sthana in Mesha. Jupiter was the lord of 9th house (Pisces; dharma-sthana) and was in Karma sthana. All these planets had the 7th drushti (aspect) of full Moon. All these 5 planets were conjunct in karma-sthana. These combinations of planets caused many raja-yogas (as already listed and described earlier in this horoscope analysis). These formidable combinations of 5 planets in karma-sthana from birth lagna and in 7th house (Kendra) from Rasi-lagna (Moon; lord of birth lagna) and in 4th house (Kendra) from Aarudha lagna had some unique features. They bestowed him highest power and place in the minds of common people as well as kings and emperors and he ruled their hearts as a universal Lord/ ruler / Bhagavan.

11) Jupiter is Jnana-kaaraka (significator of supreme knowledge and wisdom). Saturn is vedantha-prajana kaaraka (significator of highest level of philosophical genius). They are conjunct in 10th house (Sri Narayana sthana). This caused another raja-yoga, which bestowed him unexcelled philosophical powers. Also Rahu is in the 12th house (moksha-sthana; nirvana; house of salvation); he is in the constellation of the Moon (lord of birth-lagna). This enabled Buddha to be crowned as a philosophical genius.

12) Venus and Jupiter are conjunct in 10th house (Sri Hari yoga in Sri Narayana sthana). Due to this raja-yoga, he could annihilate all sensuous passions; he lead a noble life of immaculate purity. 13) Mercury is in 11th house (laabha) in a upachaya house. This yoga bestowed him unsurpassed intellectual eminence.
