9 Ketu :- Now I explain the effect of Ketu in 5th house (Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana) = Lagna panchame Budha-phalam. It is a highly beneficial house. It pertains to progeny (children), inclinations, pleasure, artistic talent, recreation, amusement, sports, romance, competitive activities like cards, crosswords, lottery, gambling or betting, love affairs, ambassadors, good or bad morals, mantra-tantra, religious mindedness, high learning and wisdom, intelligence, enormous riches, spiritual practice etc.

He will have children after conducting Pooja of Naga Pratima. The native will suffer from windy diseases and indulge in sinful deeds. Phaladeepika: Ketu-The native will suffer from loss of children. He will be of evil nature and unwise. He may also suffer from 'Pishacha Badha'.
Chamatkara Chintamani: Ketu-The native will suffer from stomach ailments. He will not get many children. In spite of being courageous he will remain dependent on others.
Jataka Kalanidhi :- When Kethu is in 5th house, MRUDU-SIRAHA, UDAARA, PAAPA-BHITHI, AGORA- PUTHRIKA-LAABHA; PUTHRA-ATISHTAM, SUBHA-GRAHA-VEEKSHANATHVA-KAAL-VILAMBEANA-PUTHRA-LAABHAM = The person has soft hair; he is generous, fear-of-sin; he gets daughters first; his sons die; if Kethu has drushti (aspect) of very good planets, he shall have sons during late-age. -----------------------------
