7) 10th house is Karma-sthana (activity and profession). It had in it, Venus bestower of desires and artistic talents . He is conjunct with Sun (exalted) who is Atma-kaaraka (bestower of Soul and its evolution). This combination made Sri Ramanuja to make Bhakthi (devotion to God) as pivot to his religious philosophy. He spread Bhakthi cult among the people of the continent of India. This is the greatest and everlasting contribution of Sri Ramanuja to Hindu religion and Indian culture. 8) There is a harmonious blending of reason, intuition, and revelation in Ramanuja’s philosophy which appealed very much to thousands of scholars of his time and millions of scholars of later period. This reality and consistency and harmonious nature in his religion is due to the disposition of Moon (the lord of lagna) in the 12th house and the lord of 10th house Mars in 2nd house and the lord of 2nd house Sun, exalted in 10th house. 9) In Rasi chart, the lord of 7th house (Capricorn) is Saturn. He is in 6th house (that is 12th house from the 7th house) from lagna and aspected the 12th house and Moon and Jupiter therein. In Nava Amsa chart, Mars is in 7th house (own house) and is aspected (7th drushti) by Saturn; so the 7th house is heavily afflicted by the combined malefic influence of Saturn and Mars. There is benefic aspect (7th drushti) of Jupiter of the 7th house and gave slight relief. So Sri Ramanuja’s married life was not happy and harmonious. Jupiter’s drushti prevented the death of his wife. There is story about his domestic life. Ramanuja could not obtain from his wife cooperation in his activities related to philosophy and religious reforms. She had no sympathy for his ventures; she did not comply with his wishes. He was disappointed. He got an invitation from his father-in-law to send her for a few days.
