Venus is debilitated. Jupiter, the lord of Venus’ exaltation house, Pisces, is in Kendra (7th) from the Moon, forming a Neechabhanga Raja Yoga. Mercury is Venus’ debilitation lord, is also in Kendra (4th) from the Moon, forming yet another Neechabhanga Raja Yoga.
Venus is the lord 2nd (family and wealth), and the 9th (father) houses. His father died before he was born, his family life was disrupted; he was brought up by his grandparents. His mother remarried, but to an alcoholic who abused him and his mother and wasted his mother’s earnings. All this suffering gave a great deal of motivation to become great and rich through the planets that cancel Venus’ debilitation, namely, Jupiter and Mercury. In Jupiter-Mercury he became president of the USA. In Venus sub-period, Clinton suffered due to his illicit affair with Monika Lewinsky caused by Venus’ debilitation. We must note that the dasa (main period) and antardasa (sub-period) of the debilitated planet still cause troubles & losses even if there is a Neechabhanga Raja Yoga.
Example--3 : In the chart given below there is no Neecha Bhanga Raja yoga for Debilitated Moon. So the excellent Raja-yogas in his Rasi / Bhava chart are weakened and the benefits are ruined. This is the natal chart of Sri Dharmaraja, the great Pandava King of the great epic of Maha Bharatha.

King Yudhisthira (Pandavas) had a combination of several excellent Raja Yogas enabling him to rule over the 11 lokas (worlds). His empire exceeded that of Deity Indra, King of the (Devatas) Heaven . He defeated Indra with the help of Bheemasena and Arjuna. It was during such an invasion on Swarga loka, King Arjuna confronted Urvasi and got cursed by her. He had trans-world interaction in the very human form. But despite such beautiful combination raja yogas (dharma- armadhipati sama yoga in simhasana amsa in 10th house), Yudhisthira was born in Vrishchika rasi; Moon was debilitated in the 4th house. Even if one planet is debilitated, during its dasa and antardasa it causes many calamities, like the loss of wealth, position, and danger of death. Such antar-dasa (sub-period) repeatedly comes in each main period in a person’s life. Yudhisthira at frequent intervals in his life faced calamities in his life, (laksha gruha, ekchakrapuri, yaksha prasna , attack of chitrasena gandharva, vanavasa, stay in virat- nagara during agnaata-vasa, and Arjuna’s wrath on Yudhisthira for letting Karna go alive, dyuta-kreeda twice, khandava dahan). Their last rites were performed for King Dharma Raja and other Pandavas, by the people of Hastinapur thrice, even while Pandavas were alive (the people believed that Pandavas died). He suffered abject poverty many times; he was born in a jungle; he went to ekchakrapuri and lived in a dilapidated house, giving rent to a poor Brahmin and living on the alms given to Pandavas in disguise of Brahmins, by the generous families of the town. During vanvasa, Sage Durvasa had come to ask food when everything in his house was empty; it was a day of poverty (even though he had akshaya patra he was not able to feed Maharshi Durvasa). Of course Bhagavan Sri Krishna helped him out in response to the devotional prayers of Draupadi). When he performed Ashwamedha Yaagya after Mahabharatha war, he had no money to feed the millions of Brahmins who attended the Yaagya. Again Bhagavan Sri Krishna came to his rescue, with the treasure of King Vali of Kishkinda from Ramayana. King Vali kept his huge wealth in a safe and secret place beyond the mountain of Meru and Sri Krishna knew it. All this happened due to a single debilitated planet, Moon (full) .This avastha described for debilitated planet is Rikta by Maharshi Parasara; the malefic effects due to a debilitated planet do not leave even Yudhishtira, the great emperor of the 11 worlds. . -------------------------- (to be continued tomorrow).
