Damage to Maha Raja Yogas

10) Kendra Adhipathya dosham (Lordship of Angular houses) : If any of the planets involved in the formation of raja yoga, has the lordship of Kendra houses (1, 4, 7 or 10th house), the raja yoga is spoiled. Natural benefics like Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, when afflicted by Angular ownership (Kendra adhipatya dosha) become malefics. Example :-

Jupiter is in his own house and is in a Kendra (10th house) from Moon; this causes a Gaja Kesari yoga. But Jupiter is the lord of two Kendras (angular houses), 4th (Sagittarius) and 7th house (Pisces). So the G.K. yoga is ruined and the benefits are spoiled.
While assessing Raja Yogas, the astrologer should assess carefully all these factors while predicting results. The cancelling factors which I illustrate above ruin the raja- yogas totally. Many a person complained to me: " The potential of my horoscope has not been realized in actual life". This unfortunate situation has many latent causes and they may be one of the ten I illustrated above. When positive and negative influences mingle, accurate predictions become very difficult. Maximum care must be exercised while explaining Raja Yogas and the benefits they give to the native.
