His birth lagna was Cancer (Karkataka), as was in the case of Bhagavan Sri Rama, Sri Adi Sankara and Sri Gautama Buddha. He had some Maha Raja yogas in his Rasi chart : 1) Gaja-kesari yoga : Moon and Jupiter are conjunct in Gemini causes Gaja-Kesari yoga. Gaja-kesari yogoyam Chandra-kendre Bruhaspathihi; Gaja-kesari yoga sanjatho, subha-yogam, satham aayu praapthihi. Highly beneficial. He lived for 120 years. Though it occurred in 12th house (expenditure), he lived the life of an ascetic (Sanyasi) but was surrounded by his disciples who served him with devotion and care. As head of the Mutt (monastery), he enjoyed all royal comforts. Where-ever he went the kings of those states treated him with devotion and reverence and provided him all royal comforts and paraphernalia of a religious emperor.
2) Budha Aditya yoga : Sun was in his exalted house in Aries and was conjunct with Mercury in Karma-sthana (10th house; profession), This is a very strong Budha-Aditya yoga : Ravi, Soumya yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe Budha-Aditya yogamutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, vanijya-vardhanam. He was multi-billionaire, though he never craved for any worldly possessions and lived the life of a Sanyasi (ascetic).
