I already published over 880 articles (one a day) on various topics of Vedic Astrology in my blog starting from June-1-2008. I received many thousands of e-mail expressing their appreciation of my articles and the blog; the articles contain subject density. I trust the contents of my blog are very useful to amateur astrologers, who desire to master the subject. I publish the Horoscope Analysis of Bhagavan Gautama Buddha in a serial order in 14 parts starting from Oct—28—2010.

Gautama Buddha was one of the greatest saints produced in India to spread human values and reform the practices like casteism, other superstitious practices in Hinduism prevalent in his period. He preached Dharma (right behaviour) as a reformed Hinduism. Later it got shaped into a separate religion “Buddhism”. He is adored by millions of people all over the Asian Nations as supreme God. Hindus worship him as one of the ten Avatharas (incarnations) of Bhagavan Sri Narayana.

Horoscope analysis – Gautama Buddha

Part – 5 Nov—01--2010

10) Adhi yoga: There must be at least two, but preferably more, benefics in the sixth, seventh and eighth house calculated from the Moon(Indu;lagna) – the person enjoys leadership. 2 benefics Jupiter and Venus are in 7th house from Moon and one benefic Mercury was in 8th house from Moon. So a powerful Adhi yoga was formed. So Siddhartha was crown-prince and leader / ruler of Sakya kingdom and later Buddha was undisputed leader and ruler of millions of people and ruled their lives, minds and souls. 11) Amala yoga: A benefic is placed in the tenth house calculated from the ascendant or the Moon – the person is philanthropic and has benevolent attitude towards mankind, and a career in the social sector suits him well. Two benefics Jupiter and Venus are in 10th house from birth lagna (in Mesha). Buddha was philanthropic and benevolent to all mankind. His career was service to mankind by leading them on the path of dharma (righteousness). Buddha’s serenity, nobility and deep compassion to mankind were the gifts of this Amala yoga in his horoscope. 12) Charussagara yoga: Planets placed in all the kendra houses - good reputation and good fortune (better when it is formed by benefics). The kendra houses are the pillars of the horoscope. Planets placed there are extremely effective. When planets are occupying all the kendra houses, their energy will be powerfully felt, which in most cases, will be a good thing (especially when it concerns natural or temporary benefics). Full Moon is in 4th house (Kendra); Jupiter and Venus are in 10th house (Kendra). So Charusagara yoga was very powerful. Buddha attained everlasting fame and is worshipped as the supreme God (Bhagavan) for Buddhists and as Sri Narayana avathar (incarnation of Bhagavan Sri Maha Vishnu) for Hindus. If we take Aarudha lagna (Makaram); Jupiter and Venus are in Kendra (4th house) and full Moon is in Kendra (10th house) from Arudha lagnam. So subha yogams occurred from Aarudha lagnam also. 13) Srika yoga: This occurs when only natural benefics are placed in the kendra housesfrom lagna – the person enjoys all comforts, good luck, abundance in life. Natural benefic full Moon is in Kendra (4th house) and Jupiter and Venus (natural benefics) are in Kendra (10th house) from birth lagna; also from Aarudha lagna. So Gautama was blessed with royal comforts and best of luck from birth onwards. (to be continued tomorrow). You can get my full particulars from my web-site : www.jyothishi.com.
