Astrological factors conducive for Foreign Travel & Settling Abroad

Part -2. Feb- 28 – 2010 Sunday

Rule :- (2) 3rd and 9th House: While 4th house represents comfort of a house, 3rd and 9th being 12th (causing separation) and 6th (satru sthana, alien) from 4th denote journeys. 3rd house should be considered for short journeys and 9th for long travels. I believe the reason is that from 9th house we also understand the religion and hence pilgrimages. In ancient times, These journeys usually lasted for several months. Moreover, malefic influences on 4th house, due to profession can make one leave his/her birth place, i.e. travel to a foreign location. Example :-

He settled in Texas in U.S.A. for the past 15 years. He is now a citizen of U.S.A. (1) The 9th house is Capricorn. Jupiter has neecha-bhanga raja-yoga therein. The 3rd house (Cancer) has waxing Moon (own house) is beneficially disposed; but has the 3rd drushti of malefic Sani. (2) He has a strong Simhasana (two-fold) yoga (conferring on him power and authority to rule). The Lord of 10th house (Aquarius) is Saturn and is in birth lagna and the lord of birth house (Taurus) is Venus and is in 10th house. (3) The lord of 4th house (Leo) is Sun; he is in the 11th house (laabha; gains) and is aspected by (malefic) Saturn (10th drushti). (4) Sun also has the (malefic) aspect of Mars (4th drushti). Venus is also the lord of Libra (6th house; enemy) that caused his separation from his native place and parents’ home. All these factors enabled him to leave his birth country and settle in U.S.A. and he is now a citizen of U.S.A. ----------------------------------------------------------You can get my full particulars from my web-site www.jyothishi.com. Astrological factors conducive for Foreign Travel & Settling Abroad Part -1.

Astrological factors conducive for Foreign Travel & Settling Abroad

Part -1. Feb- 27 – 2010 Saturday

In good old days, (during early 20th century and earlier) traditional thinking persons used to believe to cross the seas and go to a foreign country was a great sin. In the case of Brahmin persons, an elaborate religious ritual of punishment, and cleansing called “Prayaschittam and Suddhi” used to be performed by Brahmin priests and huge amount of money, cattle, gold and silk clothes were collected from the person who returned from a visit to any foreign country as Dakshina (honorarium-fees). Travel in old age (in ancient times) was permitted for pilgrimages and Ketu got involved in such horoscopes.

Now a days the reasons for foreign travel and migration of persons can be listed as : 1) Journeys within a geographical region due to nature of work - what we colloquially call "traveling job". 2) Business travel to a foreign land. 3) Tourism or pilgrimage. 4) Change in residence for profession like job or business. 5) Migration to a foreign country after marriage if the spouse is settled there.

Astrological factors that can cause travel and migration to foreign countries are cited here : Rule :- (1) 12th house (Vyaya sthana):-- In a horoscope, 12th house shows separation from birth place. Malefic influences on 12th house makes a person wander to a foreign place. Example : This is the natal chart of a billionaire. He is an M.D. Medical expert settled in Boston; U.S.A. for the past 26 years. He owns a big building with fully equipped hospital and clinical laboratory. His wife is also a doctor M.D. Ketu in 12th house helped his migration from Guntur (India) to Boston.

Other raja-yogas for his success in his profession and financial prosperity include

1) Mithunasya Bhrugur eakam su-yogadaha; lagna sthtithe akhanda-raja-yogadaha = For a person born in Gemini lagna, Venus is very beneficial. If he is in birth lagna he gives the financial gains and royal comforts of a king. Venus is lord of 5th house (kona; trines; Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana) and showers billions of dollars in him. He enjoys emperor’s luxuries. 2) Jupiter is exalted and is in dhana-sthana (2nd house; riches and prosperity), So he had financial gains worth billions of dollars.

3) Sun is in his exalted house in Aries and is conjunct with Mercury in laabha-sthana (11th house; prosperity and riches), This is very strong Budha-Aditya yoga : Ravi, Soumya yuthau thathra sva, utcha sthaana gathe Budha-Aditya yogamutchyathe; vishesha dhana laabhanche, vanijya-vardhanam. He is multi-billionaire. Mercry lord of birth lagna and 4th house (mother; higher education, properties, vehicles etc). So he got medical education due to Mercury and very flourishing medical expert.

4) Parivarthana (Exchange) yoga : Moon is in Pisces (lord is Jupiter). Jupiter is in cancer (lord is Moon). Due to this exchange both periods of Jupiter and Moon bestow him the best benefits in life.

5) Venus is in birth lagna and is kalthra-kaaraka and aspects (7th drushti) 7th house the house of wife and married life. Jupiter the lord of Dhanasu (7th house) is exalted in Dhana sthana. So got a highly gifted and noble lady as his wife; she is also a medical expert and earns billions of dollars. The combined benefits of all the above aspects made him very happy, healthy and a multi-billionaire. ------------------------------------------------------------- You can get my full particulars from my web-site www.jyothishi.com. Rule 3 of Varaha Mihira applies aptly to this chart since the Moon is in Leo in Nava Amsa

is conjunct with Mercury. Rule 8 of Kiranur Nataraja also applies since Mercury is in a

Kendra (7th house) in Rasi. Venus and Mercury are conjunct in Kendra both from Moon (4th house) and lagna (7th house). Jupiter is in 10th house (Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana) from lagna and in 7th house (Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana) from Moon (Rasi lagna). Jupiter and Saturn are in mutual opposition, that is in mutually 7th houses and aspect each other (7th drushti). So his efforts to spread astrology met with a lot of opposition from politicians and atheists. But finally his efforts bore fruits. Jupiter is on the meridian (10th house) in Rasi chart. He is the key planet in the horoscope; Jupiter bestowed him outright success in his profession as an expert astrologer. Saturn is the lord of birth lagna (Aquarius) and is beneficial (yoga-karaka). Venus is the lord of 9th house (Libra) and Mars is the lord of 10th house (Scorpio) forming a Raja yoga in a Kendra (Sri Narayana sthana) (7th house) from lagna and (4th house) from Moon. Jupiter aspects (9th drusthi) Sun. There is a special yoga for proficiency in the science of astrology : When the lord of 2nd house is strong and or is exalted and Mercury is posited in a kendra (1.4.7.10 houses) or in a kona (1,5,9 houses) or in 11th house (of a friend), the person will be proficient and foremost astrologer in the world. Mars is the ruler of 10th house (Scorpio) from lagna; as well as 10th house from the Sun (Aries). Mars is the ruler of Nava Amsa in which the lord of 10th house from the Moon is located. Sloka (Sanskrit sloka) 6 of chapter-22 of Horasara attributes to Mars the following professions for livelihood. “ If the Nava Amsa in question belongs to Mars, the person takes up a profession of a teacher, and has proficiency in manthras or any of vedangas (like astrology and or Ayurveda medicine), or fire or medicnes / drugs.” Prof, Raman was a teacher of astrology, and author of many good books in astrology. ----------------------

The natal chart of a person must have some good yogas for an astrologer of gift and

intuition. Yogas like Saraswathi Yoga, Malavya yoga, Bhadra yoga, Hamsa yoga and with Mercury. Jupiter and Venus in Kendras or konas (in own house or house of exaltation)

I did my best effort to outline the important features a horoscope must possess, to make the person an expert astrologer. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rule 13 of Veemkavi is applicable to this chart. Lord of the 4th house (Leo) is Sun; he is a natural malefic and is in the 10th Bhava. Lord of the 2nd house (Gemini) is Mercury is conjunct with Jupiter. Mercury occupies Sagittarius (the house of Jupiter in Nava Amsa chart). He is aspected by Jupiter (9th drushti). A powerful Raja yoga is caused by the conjunction of Sun and Mercury and Jupiter in 10th house. This yoga bestowed him good reputation and south India-wide influence and respect and patronage from the then King of Karnataka (Mysore). He was respected as an authority on Astrology. His predictions were wonderfully accurate. He was also a scholar in Indian Science and history. There is a powerful Parivarthana (Exchange of houses) yoga between Mercury (lord of 2nd house, Gemini) and Saturn (lord of 9th and 10th houses, Capricorn and Aquarius). Saturn was yoga-karaka (the best benefic) for birth-lagna Taurus. He was in 2nd house (Dhana sthana; wealth). This enabled him to earn considerable wealth. But the malefic nature of Saturn made him to spend the entire wealth for good purposes and he saved very little. A peculiar feature of this horoscope is that the Sun and Saturn, though mutually inimical by nature, have joined hands in elevating Sri Surya Narayana Rao to his pre-eminent status. Note that the Sun is lord of the 5th house (Leo) from the Moon (Rasi-lagna) in Rasi chart and lord of the 5th house (Leo) from birth-lagna in Nava Amsa chart. Sun occupies the house of Saturn (Aquarius) and Saturn is in the 2nd house from ASC (lagna). Sun, Venus and Mars are all asociated with the Moon in Amsa (D9) chart. No wonder, therefore, that Prof Rao received the blessings of Sun in full measure which accounted for his success in astrology. I remember to have read in one of his books that Prof. Rao’s father when he was childless had a dream one night when the SunGod appeared and blessed him with a child, as a result of which he was named after the Sun as Surya Narayana Rao. Mercury and Jupiter are conjuct in 1oth house (Kendra; Sri Narayana sthana) from the Lagna in Rasi while Jupiter occupies Lagna in Nava Amsa chart and Mercury is in 9th house (Kona;trine; Sri Lakshmi sthana) from Lagna. These made Prof. Rao a great and prolific writer and he about 70 books not only on astrology but also on other subjects. Jupiter is strong by position which accounts for his versatility in Mantra Shastra also. Saturn in the 2nd house and is aspected by Venus (7th drushti) from the 8th Bhava gave Prof Rao success in his predictions to an amazing degree of accuracy and Rahu in the 11th house from the 2nd house evoked for him appreciation even from the Britishers and other Westerners. The relative strength of Jupiter over that of Mercury made Prof. Rao an expert in the predictive aspect of astrology. ------------ (to be continued tomorrow).
