Budha (Mercury), Sukra (Venus), and Sani (Saturn) are malefic planets for a person born in Vruschika-Lagnam (House of Scorpio = ASD). Budha is the lord of 8th and 11th houses; Sukra is the lord of 6th and 12th houses; Sani is the lord of 3rd house; so they are harmful planets. Guru (Jupiter) is beneficial planet. Ravi (Sun) and Chandra (Moon) are related or associated they give beneficial results (raja-yoga-kaaraka).
Guru (Jupiter) can not cause death. Other planets like Venus and Mercury which have maarka (death-causing) qualities can cause death. Illustration :-

In this chart, Mercury is lord of (Gemini) 8th house and (Virgo) 11th houses; he is in 10th house; so he can not harm the person. Venus is lord of Taurus (7th house) and 12th house is malefic; he is in 10th house; so may not harm. Sani is lord of 3rd and 4th houses; he is malefic. The main period at her birth was Jupiter; it was a good period. She was not harmed in Sani and Mercury periods. Venus period is now running; she is hale and healthy below 60 years age. Venus is in 10th house and is conjunct with benefic Mercury.
