BHAAGYA STHAANAM =
It gives information about the person’s
prosperity, luck, father, punyamu
= the credit the person earned by doing good and beneficial deeds, his
appearance, his penance to God = thapassu,
his devotion to God, his
generosity, and kindness and pilgrimage. This house is a Konam and is the
Lakshmi-sthaanam = House of Goddess Sri Lakshmi. Now we narrate, hereunder the effects
various planets give, when they stay in this 9th house= Luck house.
1. KONAESAA SAKALAA KHAGAA
SUBHA-KARASTHEA; SHASTA, LAABHA, THRISAARBSHEA PAALAA PAAPI; KENDRA
PAANA SUBHADAA SOUMYAA, ATHA-UTTARAM;
KROORASYA THVATHA KENDRA AADHIPATHYAMUNU SOUKHYA ARTHAM SA-PAAPO
BUDHAHA; KSHENA-INDUSCHA KHALATHVAMEATHI MRUTHIPAHA PAAPO NA LAGNNEADYADHI. = The lords of Konams (1st, 5th and 9th
houses are benefic planets. If the planets have the lordship of 6th
and 11th houses, they are malefic (harmful). Even if the lords of konams are good, they
become malefic and malefic (harmful) if they possess the lordships of malefic
houses, namely, 3rd and 6th houses, additionally. If the planets are good and beneficial by
nature, they become malefic or malefic (harmful) if they possess the lordship
of two Kendrams, namely, 4th, 7th and 10th
houses. The malefic nature and malefic (harmful) effects given by Mercury
(Budha) is more than that of Moon (Chandra); Jupiter (Guru) is more than
Mercury (Budha); Venus (Sukra) is more than Jupiter (Guru) in giving harmful
effects by possessing the lordship of a Kendram-house (4th or 7th
or 10th). If Budha
(Mercury)and or Sun (Ravi), Kuja (Mars), Sani (Saturn) possess the lordship of
kendram, they give good (beneficial) effects.
The 8th house is Vyaya-sthaanam (12th house) to
the Bhaagya-sthaanam (9th house); so the 8th house
happens to be a malefic (malefic (harmful)) house. So the lord of 8th house is malefic
malefic (harmful)) planet. If this lord
of 8th house has the lordship of Janma-lagnam = the birth house,
that planet gives benefits & good. When Budha (Mercury) is together with malefic
planets and the Moon (Chandra) is waning, (Krishna Dasami to Suddha Panchami) –
they are malefic planets and give malefic (harmful) effects.

Saturn (malefic) is lord of 6th house. So he is harmful.
