DHARMA-STHITHAU,; THADYAASTHAAM KUBHAMEVA RAAJYA SUKHADAU NOCHENNA YOGAPRADAU;
NIRDHUSTAA SUKAME VACHEA THATH UBHAYA ADHEESOPIYUM KRUMCHAMEA.
Generally expert astrologers believe that the association of the lords of
9th and 10th houses in the same good house is highly beneficial. If they exchange places, the lord of 9th
house stays in 10th house, and the lord of 10th house
stays in 9th house, then also they bestow highly beneficial
results. Though these two lords are malefic
planets and have additionally lordship of malefic houses, they give beneficial
results. In case those two lords do not have mutual exchange of houses, and the
same planet has the lordship of 3rd, 6th,or 12th
houses in addition, then also that planet bestows beneficial results. Example: 1 In this natal chart of Gautama Buddha we
find lord of 9th (Bhagya; dharma) Jupiter was conjunct with lord of
10th (Rajya; karma) Mars.
This is Dharma-karma sama-yuktha yoga. This occurred in 10th house; karma-sthana and was
strong.

In this chart (of Raghavan), the lords of 4
Kendras and lords of both Konas are conjunct in Leo. The person has akhanda-raja-yogam (raja-yogam
with maximum benefits). The lord of 8th
house Mars in not conjunct; Mars in Lagnam.
Also both lord of 9th and 10th are conjunct,
causing Dharma-karma-adhipa
sama-yoga; any one of them is debilitated or both these lords are
conjunct with any debilitated (neecha) planet or is with lord of 8th
, the person gets raja-yogam in the start and yogam is spoiled in the later
part of the yoga-dasa. Or the person has
debts which exceed his properties and so he experiences hardships. Venus is lord of 9th house
(Taurus), Mercury is lord of 10th house (Gemini); they are conjunct
in 12th house (Vyayam; Leo));
Mars and Rahu (both are malefics) are conjunct with birth-lagna. so the
raja-yogam is spoiled. He enjoyed
normal average life of a lower middle class person.

In this natal chart, Saturn is the lord of 9th house
(Capricorn) and 10th house (Aquarius). He is in lagna (Taurus). So he has strong
Dharma-Karma adhipa samayogam. Saint-astrologer Parasara explains : VRUSHABHASYACHA MANDA EKAHA DHARMA, KARMA ADHIPO
BHEVETH; KENDRA, KONESHU SAMSTHE PRABALAM YOGAMICHATHAHA; SANIR EKAM SUBHAM
DAATHUM, SAMATRHOTH-KARAHA = Sani alone gives Raaja-yogam (royal comforts &
luxuries) to him born in Vrushabha Lagnam (birth house Taurus); he is the lord
of 9th (trident)(luck, bhagyam, prosperity)(Sri Lakshmi sthanam)
house and also the lord of 10th house (QUADRANT) (profession, job, power,
rajyam) (Sri Narayana sthanam) house; so Sani very highly beneficial to him. It
came in his formative age (6th to 25th year). Sani period was a golden period; he got high
level education; migration to a western country (U.S.A) for higher studies and
a very good job and settlement in USA.
VRUSHA LAGNE SANI SAMSTHE, DHANA-LABHANCHA SANCHITHAM, RAJYA-YOGAM,
POORNA-YOGADAHA = If Sani is
in birth house, he earns billions of riches; Sani period gives him royal
