The tenth house
is known as RAJYA STHAANAM = THE HOUSE OF STATUS. This house is a KENDRAM and
is Sri NARAYANA STHANAM; it is a beneficial house. This house, its lord, and
the planets therein give us information about the person’s status, profession,
life-style, livelihood, job, power, respect, name and fame, trade or business,
and activities.

If the lord of 10th
house is weak, or is debilitated, or is setting-down, or is in enemies’ house,
or in the evil houses like 6, 8, or 12, the person indulges in mean and dirty
activities and leads a nasty life.

In this chart, Venus is lord of 10th house (Taurus). He is
debilitated (neecha) and is conjunct with malefic Sun. He is aspected (7th drushti) by
malefic Sani.
Venus is very near Sun within 2* and so Venus
suffers daghdha (combusted). So the
