If Sani (Saturn)
is in 5th house, the children die; if Ravi (Sun) is in 5th
house, he has only one son; if Kuja (Mars) is in 5th house, he has
two sons; they are bad-natured and one of them may die. If Guru (Jupiter) is in 5th house,
and it is a good house for Guru, the person has four children, they are good
natured and live happily; If Rahu is in 5th house, he shall have
children by another man or test-tube baby; if Kethu is in 5th house,
he has daughters; if the lord of 5th house is strong and good, the
children have long life-span.

Example: Below is the Rasi
chart of a rich-widow woman. The lord of
5th house (Aquarius) is Saturn.
He is in 12th house and is conjunct with natural malefic Ketu
and functional malefics Venus (lord of 8th house, Libra) and Mercury
(lord of 12th house, Virgo). So she has no children of her own.

This lady has waxing Moon in 4th
house and Jupiter in 5th house; so she earned a M.A. Degree and a
B.Ed. Degree and got good educational qualifications. During
Guru period she worked as Principal of a private elementary school in Warangal
for over 9 years. (2) She had Venus and
Saturn and Ketu conjunct in 12th house (Vyayam); so her marriage was
delayed. She got married during her 42nd year to an old person of
about 56 years; it was 3rd marriage for him; his two wives suffered
ill-health and died. She had Kuja dosha
from birth lagna (Kuja is in 2nd house), also Saturn aspects (3rd drushti)
Mars. She did not enjoy conjugal
bliss. Rahu aspects (7th
drushti) Venus. Also the lord of 7th
house (Aries) is Mars and he is in 2nd house and afflicted. She was widowed during the main period of
Saturn and sub-peiod of Saturn and anthar-dasa of Venus. (3) She lived a luxury life due to Mars in
his own house (Scorpio), in 2nd house (Dhana) from lagna. The lord of 10th house (Cancer)
Moon is in 4th house Kendra and aspects 10th house (7th
drushti). She lived luxuriously on the
handsome income coming from properties like agricultural lands (located in
fertile Godavari district) and house rents provided by her deceased
husband. Her step-sons are prosperous
and well-settled in USA and send her money often to make her enjoy all comforts
in life. Sun in birth lagna is
debilitated (neecha); so she is of hot-temper nature and was haughty to
husband’s relatives when her husband was alive. She now leads a happy and luxurious life
with all comforts and stays in Eluru.
She spends 6 months every year with the families of her step-sons in USA
and enjoys all luxuries. She died in
