PUTHRA-ESAE, THANUSAANVITHAA, SUTHA-GRUHASTEA CHADRA YUKTHEA  VEEKSHITHEA,; THVA EKAHA PUTTHRA UDEATHI, SOUMYA SAHITHEA ADYAU  SUKRA-YUKTHASYAKAA; PUTHREE, PUTHRA YUGANCHA, DEVA-GURURAA  YUKTHEA THATHE KETHUNAAKA;  DVIAVETHINI NIRNAYONI GADHITHO   GOPALA-RATNAAKAREA.  =   If  the lord of 5th house is together with lord of 1st house and Moon and is in 5th house or the lord of 5th house is in 5th house and has the aspect of Moon on it, he has one son; if  the lords of 1st and 5th houses are together with Budha(Mercury), he has two sons;  if lord of 1st and 5th  houses have association with Sukra; he has one daughter; if lords of 1st and 5th houses are together and have  association with Guru (Jupiter), he has one son and a daughter; if the lords of 1st and 5th houses have association with Ketu, he will have all daughters only and no sons.  Thus was written in the book Gopala Ratnaakaram by Daivajna (expert-astrologer) Gopala Deva of Kerala.
