EFFECT OF JUPITER’S TRANSITION INTO CAPRICORN.
On Dec—10—2008, Margasira, Suddha Ekadasi Jupiter (Guru) enters Makara rasi (Capricorn). Makaram is neecha-sthana (house of debilitation for Jupiter. Now I shall give the general effects felt by people born in different Indu-lagnas (Rasis) / solar months. If birth date falls in a particular solar month (ex: Tula = Libra month from October-14 to November-14 of any year), the results of that months are to be considered.
In case of lunar method of calendar , the birth-star is to be considered.

Oct-14 to Nov-14 Tula Rasi = Chitha- 3 & 4 padas; Swathi-4 padas; Visakha- 1,2 & 3 padas.
During the past one year period (Dec-2007 to Dec—2008) Guru was in Dhansu (his own house); 3rd house (upachaya), and Sani was in 11th house (upachaya) (Labha house) from your Tula rasi. Then you might have suffered a transfer or reduction in rank or change of working area which you did not like. Business might have been disappointing. Economic conditions might have been bad. It was a period of distress which caused you mental strain. Some inconveniences might have prevailed in your working environment either in employment or business. You found it very difficult to meet the mounting expenses.
Guru enters your 4th house (Sri Narayana sthana) from Dec—2008; it is a beneficial house. But Makram is neecha-sthana (debilitation) for Guru. So you get mixed results. 65% beneficial and 35% malefic=Tulayan chathurthe Jeeve, neecha sthana gathe, kavichith su-yogadaha, thath paake yogam alpancha, sathru vrudhi, jayaa labheth (Jataka Marthandam). A change for better is possible. Do not expect too much change to good. You may get some relief from your past miseries, but problems still persist.
Financial situation may ease up and improve. Liabilities may be under control. You may be able to overcome the obstacles with some extra efforts.
During the course (Dec—2008 to Dec—2009) year, your may suffer ill-health to some extent. Problems in the abdomen or gastro intestines may trouble you. You may incur medical expenses and worries of your health.
You may get some unpleasant news from your brothers or sisters. This may disturb you. Family members’ health may also cause you tension and you may incur higher expenses due to medical bills.
Sani moves into 12th house (Vyayam) and may cause malefic effects from
Sept—2009; your Elinatic Sani (Sade saath Sani) period then begins. The financial gains you had during this period may again dwindle due to these unexpected expenses. You may perform some auspicious functions (Subha Karyas) in the family and this may again increase your financial burden. Liabilities / debts may also increase because of the Subha Karya. In spite of these expenses and new liabilities, you may feel happy about the Subha Karya.
Some difference of opinions with your spouse may trouble you. Some bitterness in family relationship may worry you. You need a lot of patience and tolerance and show adjustment in family maaters.
The period after September 2009 will mark the beginning of your 7-1/2 Sani. Sirasu Sani (Elinati Sani). Sani causes you many troubles and misery. Since the next Guru’s transition to Kumbha (5th house, Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana) starting in December 2009 may offer you some financial relief; you need not be worried of the 7-1/2 years Sani for one year (Dec—2009 tp Dec—2010), since Guru will move into your 5th house (beneficial position) in December 2009.
Persons in business : You may have better turn over, higher profits and higher expenses which eat away the profits. Employees’ co-operation may be to an average extent. Caution and tact are needed in handling the employees. There may be rise in the profits, also in expenses; the net result is poor gains . You may be able to keep up your promises and honour your contracts and commitments which had been suffering in the past one year period.
Employees / working people:-- Situation remains all the same, except, you may have to put in extra efforts to satisfy your employer or superiors. Colleagues may appear to be co-operative. they are co-operative to a limited extent only. Hard pressed working environment may make you restless. You need patience and perseverance. You may get adequate compensation for the extra work you are doing - but the additional income benefit will be eaten away as expenses in the workplace itself.
Artists like film / TV / advertising, dangers, singers, anf painters : You may get new opportunities - but not with enough of remuneration you deserve. Performances may be good. Income may be inadequate. You can not avoid this in view of long term survival and progress. More expenses for purposes like traveling may dwindle your net income.
Overall, this appears to be an average and good year - but actually the satisfaction will be more psychological than financial, with comparatively less net income. But you need to adjust to the situation and continue your efforts. Bhagavan Sri Siva is the presiding deity for both Guru and Sani, So during this period recite Namakam and Chamakam daily, with devotion. Also perform Rudra abhisehkam once a month on Masa Sivarathri day (Krishna thrayodasi) (preferable) / or any day suitable to you. Also recite Bruhaspathi kavacham twice daily, Recite Sri sooktham daily with devotion. This Santhi practice may reduce your difficulties, losses and misery and help you a lot.
