Part—52 (Dec—19--2008) Expert astrologers say it is correct to examine the raja-yoga aspect counting the planet’s position mainly from aarduha lagna; but generally birth-lagna is taken as reference point. If benefics and malefics are conjunct in the same house and are in 3,6,8,12 houses from lagna; and in kendram (1,4,7,10), or konam (1,5,9) from aarudha-lagna, then the periods of these planets yield beneficial (raja-yoga) results from the beginning of the dasa. If the planets are in in kendram (1,4,7,10) or konam (1,5,9) both from lagnam and from aarudha-lagna, then the periods of those planets give Maha-raja-yoga (excellent beneficial results) from the beginning of the dasa (period).

In the chart of Sri Srinivasan, Saturn is in his own house, Aquarius (Kumbham) and was conjunct with Moon (Raja-yoga); he is in 5^th house (konam) from lagnam; he is in 9^th house (Konam; Bhagyam) from aarudha-lagnam. So he enjoyed the position of a top level Administrative Officer in a reputed MNC firm at Chennai (Madas) during the period of Saturn (1920—39). So the raja-yogam is so strong and beneficial as the number of planets (here 6 planets) in kendram or konam both from lagna in 5^th house and from aarudhso hea lagnam in 9^th house. Both the 5^th and 9^th (Bhagya) are konas (trines) and are Sri Maha Lakshmi sthanas houses of prosperity). He earned good income about 2 lakhs (it was a huge amount in those days) of rupees and enjoyed car and authority, domestic servants (like cook, work-maids, gardener) and a palacial building (quarters), all provided by the MNC firm. He built palacial building in a three hectors plot in Adayar during 1935-36 period). All his three children were given University education (Masters degrees) and were well settled in life. Jupiter in 4^th house gave him high education (he earned a M.Com degree from Madras University) Conjunction of Sun and Mercury is Budha-Adhitya yoga. Budha-adityai yogoyam Budha, Adithya grahaanam eka rasi-sthithau; Budha-aditya yoga sanjatho, subha-yoga, vishesha dhana praapthihi Sun and Mercury are in 5^th house, Sri Maha Lakshmi sthanam. So he was very highly benefited and enjoyed royal comforts in the period Mercury (retirement period). He lived for 81 years.
