EFFECT OF JUPITER’S TRANSITION INTO CAPRICORN.
On Dec—10—2008, Margasira, Suddha Ekadasi Jupiter (Guru) enters Makara rasi (Capricorn). Makaram is neecha-sthana (house of debilitation for Jupiter. Now I shall give the general effects felt by people born in different Indu-lagnas (Rasis) / solar months. If birth date falls in a particular solar month (ex: Tula = Libra month from November-14 to December-14 of any year), the results of that months are to be considered.
In case of lunar method of calendar , the birth-star is to be considered.

Vruschika Vruschika month = Nov-14 to Dec-14 Vruschika Rasi = Visakha-4th pada; Anuradha-4 padas; Jeyshta – 4 padas
During the one year period (Dec-2007 to Dec-2008), Guru was in Dhanasu (his own house) in 2nd house (Dhana) and Sani was in 10th house (Leo; house of profession). During this period you might have experienced the benefits due to Guru and mal-effects due to Sani. This period might have taught how to walk on a tight rope and balance good and bad results. You might have also understood the difference between apparent and actual results. Everything was seemingly beneficial and everything was not good; you had some peculiar situation. You faced it with difficulty and self-control.
Guru (Jupiter) moves into Makaram (Capricorn) during Dec-2008. The coming
year (Dec-2008 to Dec-2009) may be a real tough period. Makaram is neecha-sthana (debilitation) for Guru and he is in 3rd house (upachaya), a malefic house. Sani is in 10th house (Leo) (house of profession) and is malefic. So this period may be with mixed results; 65% malefic and 35% beneficial.
You may get a transfer to an undesired place, change of work, reduction in status and remuneration, traveling often and the like; these may cuase you disappointment and restlessness . The incrased expenses, in spite of good income and the straining health might have bothered you. Ill-health and medical bills might have caused you worries.
This Guru transition is more malefic than before. In fact, Guru in the 3rd house (malefic house) may cause you uncertainity in your business, profession or job.
You are advised to be much more cautious in your job or business. Business, profession or job my bother you to the level of feeling a sense of insecurity in life. Money inflow is going to be tight. Financial gains may depend on creating new liabilities and the new debts.
Some persons may have to resign their job, some may be asked to leave, some may be relocated to an inconvenient place; some businesses may reach a stage of pulling down the shutters; this might appear to be the only choice.
Your personal health and family health may be affected involving huge medical expenses and worries. You may suffer some hospitalization.
Family and social relations may be damaged adding to your mental agony. You have to wait and tolerate. You have to be patient and perseverant. There is no other alternative.
Persons in business : You will find a tough time. Even normal business performance may dip down with reduced turn over and decreased money flow.
The profits may also come down. Expenses may increase a lot. Even your employees may appear to be negligent and cunning. Some businesses may even go to the verge of closure. Whe Sani moves into Kanya in September 2009, you may find some improvement. Until then you struggle for survival.
For people in employment :- Your relationship with the employer / superiors may suffer. The things you have done in good faith may turn out to be futile and you may be held responsible for any lapse or loss. Colleagues and subordinates may be indifferent and may rather try to take undue advantage of your strained relationship with your boss / employer. Some persons may be compelled to leave the job. Some may get transfer to an unfavourable location. This may worsen the financial crunch you suffer. Even managing the situation with new debts may be difficult. The period is 65% malefic; 35% good.
For persons in Arts field like films, TV, advertising. dancers, singers, painters:- You are advised to adopt restraint. Restraint in your talk, actions and relations with others is advised. If you have to talk, finish it with two or three words with a smiling face. Avoid hostile responses. You may have to loose some of the opportunities on hand. New opportunities may seldom come. The chances you may get may not be up to your merits, experience or expectations. You may be spending more on traveling. Unless you travel, you can not sustain at least some of the offers already in your current schedule.
Overall, this one year is a tough time for you . Sani’s transition into Virgo (11th house; labham) during Sept-2009 may give you some relief. Until then, be patient and perseverant. You need to adjust to the situation and continue your efforts. Bhagavan Sri Siva is the presiding deity for both Guru and Sani, So during this period recite Namakam and Chamakam daily, with devotion. Also perform Rudra abhisehkam once a month on Masa Sivarathri day (Krishna thrayodasi) (preferable) / or any day suitable to you. Also recite Bruhaspathi kavacham twice daily, Recite Sri sooktham daily with devotion. This Santhi practice may reduce your difficulties, losses and misery and help you a lot.
