EFFECT OF JUPITER’S TRANSITION INTO CAPRICORN.
On Dec—10—2008, Margasira, Suddha Ekadasi Jupiter (Guru) enters Makara rasi (Capricorn). Makaram is neecha-sthana (house of debilitation for Jupiter. Now I shall give the general effects felt by people born in different Indu-lagnas (Rasis) / solar months. If birth date falls in a particular solar month (ex: Makara = Capricorn month from January-14 to February-14 of any year), the results of that months are to be considered. We in India celebrate Makara Sankranti as Pongal festival in south India.
In case of lunar method of calendar , the birth-star is to be considered.

Capricorn Makara month = Jan-14 to Feb-14 Makara Rasi = Uthara ashadha 2,3,&4 padas; Sravana 4 padas; Dhanishta 1& 2 padas.
The year (Dec-2007 to Dec-2008) was a tough time for you. Guru was in your 12th house (vyaya-sthana; house of expenditure and loss). Sani was in your 8th house (randhra; Leo) a malefic house. You might have experienced lack of understanding and ill-will within the family. Relationships might have strained. Financial gains were uncertain and low. Liabilities were very difficult to manage. Displeasure in the work place might have caused you misery. These now gradually fade out.
Guru is now entering your Janma Raasi (Makaram) on Dec-102008. This may be a great relief for you. But Makra (Capricorn) is neecha-sthana (debilitation) for Guru. Makarsya Guru bhrathru, vyaya sthana adhisasya hetuna yathabhagavatho vapi svayam yogam na-dasyathi. Makarstha Gurau neecha- sthanathvath asubham; alpa-yogadam (Jataka Marthandam). The next one year (Dec-2008 to Dec-2009) may be within manageable control financially. Family relationships and friendships may gradually turn to be better.
Economic situation may show improvement. Financial gains may increase. You may have to incur new debts / liabilities to handle the past liabilities. But this may not cause distress as before.
You may handle finances more comfortably. Though financial gains improve, you may have to borrow further.
There are chances of your health may cause some worry. Also, the health of your family members may be a matter of concern. Medical expenses may increase causing some anxiety.
Makara Raasi has Ashtama Sani (Saturn in 8th houe) may be malefic. Ashtama Sani, can cause difficulties related to finances, health and efforts. This problem continues till Sept-2009; then Saturn moves to Virgo (9th house). Then relief is felt.
Do not give big promises. You may find it difficult to keep up. Do not make big commitments. Do not stand guarantee for loans of your friends or relatives. If you do, be sure you will be in definite trouble and the burden may fall on you. You may be blamed for the faults of others. It may be hurt your ego and harass you mentally due to such happenings.
If you are planning for marriage this year, better postpone it for next year 2010. You may land into troubles under present planetary disposition.
Business people and Professionals:-- You may have better turn over and lesser profits. Expenses and interests may decrease the profits and the net profit may be low. New contracts or assignments may be difficult to get. You may have to complete the existing contracts on hand with more efforts. In the past one year (Dec-2007 to Dec-2008), nothing appeared to move. Now things may move with some difficulty. Be cautious in finance management. Co-operation from the employees may not be up to your expectations or requirements. You may have to manage the show yourself with strain. Problems may be less - but problems will be there. Business is manageable, but with efforts.
Employed persons :-- You may have some relief from the past difficult situations. You might be underpaid with greater responsibilities and work-load. This may marginally relax. You may get some compensation for the extra work you are doing - but not to the extent of your satisfaction. But income-wise, this year may be better than last year.
Your boss or superior may blame you for no fault of yours. You may have no say in such matters. Some persons may get an unexpected transfer or area of work. It may not be upto your taste, but you may have to accept it. Your superiors who were not that much happy about you may gradually return to normal terms. But they may not develop any good opinion about you - but they may set off the bad impression (if any) on you.
Job seekers :-- You may find opportunities are coming up, but not up to your merits, experience or expectations. You may have to accept the best available option before you can get your dream job.
Artists in the film, TV, advertisement fields and dancers and singers: You may get good opportunities. But the opportunities may be distorted by competitions. Unless you know how to smoothly handle a client, it may be difficult to win new opportunities. Even with your marketing skills, the opportunities coming up will not be that much rewarding. Somehow, there may be financial gains - but inadequate in volume. Some Artists may get opportunities abroad. Still the benefits may be low.
Overall, this a year may be better than before - but not up to your expectations. You need to adjust to the situation and continue your efforts. Bhagavan Sri Siva is the presiding deity for both Guru and Sani, So during this period recite Namakam and Chamakam daily, with devotion. Also perform Rudra abhisehkam once a month on Masa Sivarathri day (Krishna thrayodasi) (preferable) / or any day suitable to you. Also recite Bruhaspathi kavacham twice daily, Recite Sri sooktham daily with devotion. This Santhi practice may reduce your difficulties, losses and misery and help you a lot.
