    DASA-ESA PAAPA-SAMUKTHAM, SUBHA-BHUKTHAUTHU MISRITHAM, PAAPASYACHA ADHIKAM,  PAAPAM-ASAMBADHA SUBHEA ALPATHAA. = If the lord of main period is a malefic planet, he gives malefic (harmful) results in the sub-periods of other good planets which have association with that main period lord.  But beneficial results come during the sub-periods of other good planets if they have no association or relation with the lord (malefic) of main period.           Example:-  

Moon Saturn Rahu Aries  (11) Lagnam  (9) RASI Cancer Gul Aarudha Lagnam Venus Sun  Mars Mercury Jupiter Ketu

In this natal chart, Saturn is malefic by nature.
