The father of the person dies during the period of the lord of 9^th house staying in a malefic house, or during the main period of malefic planet that stays with the lord of 9^th house in the same house.

KROORA GRAHASCHA SAM-DHRUSTEA THATH-DASAA PITHRU NAASANI. =  If Guru (Jupiter) is the lord of 9^th house, and stays in an malefic house and has the aspect of an malefic planet on Guru, the person’s father dies during the main period of Guru and the sub-period of the malefic planet aspecting (seeing) Guru.  Example ;-

(6) Aries Sun Mercury Jupiter Venus  (9) Rahu RASI Moon Mars  (4)  Ketu Sani  (2) Lagna Virgo

In this chart, Jupiter is in malefic 8^th house and malfic Sun is conjunct with Jupiter.  Jupiter’s main period comes after her 55^th year.
