Part – 4 (Aug—24—2009)
Adi Sankaracharya achieved the radiant glory as Super-preceptor Guru-deva and conquered the great religious heads of different faiths and Buddhist avharyas and converted them as his followers and disciples. He was renowned as the world’s top-most Preacher / Guru of Hinduism. He completed Vedic learning by his 8th year.
2) Moon :- The birth lagna (Cancer) is un-afflicted both in Rasi and Nava Amsa charts. Moon is the lord of birth-lagna (Cancer); she is in 12th house (ripha-sthana); vyaya bhava (loss of wealth). But Moon is highly fortified by three aspects (drushtis) of very powerful planets : Saturn is the lord of 7th house (Capricorn) and aspects (7th drushti) Moon. Jupiter is the lord of Pisces, the 9th house (Bhagya; dharma sthana) and aspects (5th drushti) Moon. Mars is yoga-kaaraka to birth lagna (Cancer) as the lord of Scorpio, the 5th house (Sri Lasksdhmi sthana) and lord of Aries, the 10th house (Sri Narayana sthana). Mars aspects (4th drushti) Moon. These are all very beneficial aspects for Lagna lord (Moon). 3) Moon is in Gemini; Mercury is the lord of Gemini. Mercury is the significator (budhi-kaarak) of intellect. He is in 10th house (karma; profession) and conjunct with Sun forming Nipuna yoga (Skill and intelligence). This yoga conferred on Sankara a super-magnificent intellect, deep penetrative mind and lofty character; he was a Sthitha-prajna (ideal person) as described in Bhagavad-Gita by Bhagavan Sri Krishna. 4) Mercury is not combusted; so he was blessed with the best dialectic skill and most powerful argument ability; this enabled Sankara to vanquish the greatest scholars of his time like Mandan Misra and Viswaroopa in vedic arguments (lasted for weeks). 5) Jupiter is in 9th house (dharma sthana) from Rasi-lagna (Moon) and his beneficial and powerful aspect (5th drushti) on the Moon denotes his profound spirituality.
6) Mars is in 10th house from Rasi-lagna (Moon) (Karma sthana) and his beneficial aspect (4th drushti) on Moon bestowed him a fiery disposition in religious arguments with an animated and philosophical expositions with matchless charm and dignity.
