Aum Namo Sri Sita Rama ! Jan—6—2010 is the Pushya Krishna Panchami thithi (Telugu Lunar Calendar). On this holy day the saint-musician-composer (Vak-geya-kaar) Sri Tyaga Brahma, attained salvation (Moksham) 157 years ago. On this holy occasion I shall analyse the horoscope of Sri Tyaga Brahma in 9 parts. I wish all lovers of astrology and music read these articles with reverence and happiness. This is my devotional and humble tribute to that great mastereo.

4) The Sun is Atma-karaka and presents the Soul; he is exalted in Karma-sthana. The Moon is Mano-kaarka and represents the mind; he is in the birth lagna, his own house waxing. Both are highly powerful in his horoscope and indicate the high degree of development of Atma-Vidya (knowledge of self-realisation) and strength of mind. These two qualities are so very essential for achieving great deeds and higher goals in life. 5) In Nava-amsa chart, Sun is in Libra (neecha-sthana) and is afflicted. He is hemmed between two malefics Mars, and Ketu in next house and malefic Saturn in previous house. These factors indicate that Sri Tyagayya must have undergone intense mental and spiritual struggle in his earlier days before realising the absolute truth and reality through the divine agency of music. 6) In Rasi chart, the significator of mother, (mathru-kaaraka) Moon is conjunct with a maleic Ketu. Also the 4th house is Libra its lord is Venus; he is conjunct with malefic Saturn and is in 11th house (upachaya). In Nava-amsa chart, the significator of father (pithru-kaaraka), Sun is in needch in Libra is in 9th house (house of father). These planetary combinations are malefic and explain why his parents died during the early age of Tyagayya. 7) The third house is the house of brothers. Mars is the significator of brothers. Between these two (Mercury and Mars), Mars is more powerful. Mars is in 2nd Nava-amsa; this indicates that Sri Tyagayya had only one elder brother. 8) The birth-lagna Cancer has a prominent characteristic. It is the solemnity of expression, because it rules the Soul, the inner life and the religion. All these serious and very important factors. The birth lagna is in /cancer and its lord Moon is also in it. Besides malefic Ketu was also in Cancer and malefic Saturn aspects (3rd drushti) Cancer and the planets in it. All these energies are focused on Cancer (birth-lagna); this indicates the wonderful conception of this master-genius Sri Tyagayya. ----------- (to be continued tomorrow).
