Vishnu yoga in vedic astrology

Vishnu Yoga (Jan—4--2010)

Rule :-- If the lords of the 9th house(Dharma) and 10th house (Karma). as well as the lord of the Navamsa sign of the lord of the 9th house occupied, stay in the 2nd house (Dhana sthana) Vishna Yoga is caused. . It makes the individual favored in an important way by the state. By nature, he is patient, is erudite, skilled in debating and is an engaging conversationalist. He becomes rich and lives for long.

Saturn is in Capricorn (own house). Also Staurn is yoga-karaka for a person born in Taurus ascendant (lagna). Jataka Marthanda sloka : Vrushabha lagnscha, Mandaikaha dharma-karma-adhipo bhaveth akhanda su—yogadaha; Sanir-ekam parna-subham daantum samarthatho; arka, soumyayo sambandha mathrena prabalam yogam ichathi--- For a person born in Vrushabha (Taurus) lagna, Sani bestows highest benefits (Raja yoga) because Saturb is the lord of 9th (Bhagya; dharma) and 10th (Karma /profession) houses. Saturn also can give akhanda yogam (great benefits). But if Saturn is conjunct with Sun or Mercury or both the Raja-yoga is increased a hundred-fold. So Saturn in this case is beneficial and is the lord of 9th and 10th houses in Bhava chart and also the lord of the Nava Amsa where the lord of 9th house stays. So all the three planets happen to be Saturn and he is in 2nd house (Dhana sthana) conjunct with Sun and so gives maximum benefits of Vishnu yoga to this boy. But the Shadbala of Saturn is only 65%. So the benefits the boy gets are not maximum. The boy is a devotee of Bhagavan Sri Krisha (Vishnu) along with his parents. The father donates thousands of dollars to ISKCON temple at Photomac area in Maryland (U.S.A.) every year and also to the Sri Krishna temple at Bundavan in India. I know very well the boy and his father from their very birth. Explanation of Vishnu yoga: All these effects due to this Vishnu Yoga may not be seen in every life. But the person will enjoy the gifts of Vishnu Yoga. The Navamsa in which the 9th lord stays, plays an important role in the formation of this yoga. If by chance, the lord of the Navamsa happens to be a benefic and very strong planet with high points of shadbala, then the Yoga will operate practically throughout his life.

In such cases, where huge benefits are attributed to this yoga, the astrologer has to be very careful in assessing the real strength of the main lord causing the Yoga. The conjunction of the lords of 9th and 10th housess forms by itself a powerful Raja Yoga called “Dharma-Karma adhipa sama-yoga” and this occurs in the 2nd house (Dhana, Vaak sthana) When the Nava Amsa lord of 9th house also combines with those two planets, this causes a powerful Dhana Yoga; this is a very beneficial combination of Raja and Dhana Yogas. This implies that the 2nd house must be occupied by at least three planets; hence this yoga does not occur frequntly. I found only three horoscopes which had this yoga during the past 45 years of my experience. Example : 2

In this chart the 9th house was Taurus and its lord was Venus. In Amsa Venus was again in Taurs; its lord was Venus. He is in 2nd house (in Raasi) along with Mercury (lord of 10th house, Gemini). So Vishnu yoga is formed. Since the lords of 9th house (Dharma) and the 10th house (Karma) are conjunct (in 2nd house, Dhana sthana), Dharma-Karma adhipa yoga is also formed. But Rahu is conjunct with Venus and Mercury in 2nd house; so this caused the yoga to be only 65% effective. The person enjoyed a high rank and very influential position in the British ruled Indian government.

This chart has many Raja yogas and also Vishunu yoga and Dharma-Karma-adhipa yoga. Herein both the yogas are strong and more pronounced. Venus is the lord of 10th house (Libra). The 9th house is Virgo; its lord is Mercury. In Nava-amsa Mercury is in Libra; its lord is again Venus. Both Venus and Mercury are conjunct in 2nd house (Dhana-sthana) in Rasi chart. The person enjoyed all the benefits of both Vishu yoga and Dharma-karma-adhipa yogas. He earned billions of rupees. He was very much favoured by some of the Princes of Indian states (1905—45). He wss highly learned, a brilliant statesman and a very capable lawyer.
