17) DASAASVAPI BHAVE DYOGAH, PRAAYASO YOGA KAARINOH,
DASAA DYAYEE MADYA GATHO THADAYAK SUBHA KAARINAAM.
If there are periods (maha-dasaas) of two highly beneficial planets (yoga-kaaraka grahams) come in the life of a person, if the maha-dasaa (main period) of another beneficial (good) planet comes in between those two raja-yoga dasaas (periods), the intermediate main-period of that good planet also gives very beneficial results. The good planet may not have any relation or association with those two (raja-yoga-kaarka) highly beneficial planets. Illustration:

For this horoscope, Puthra, Karma adhipo Angaraka katakasya subha-vaham ; shastha, ashtama, vyaya sthana, Kendra konasthe subham = Kuja (Mars, Angaraka) is the lord of 5th house, Scorpio (Sri Lakshmi sthana) and the 10th house, Aries (Sri Narayana sthana) for birth lagna, Cancer (Karkataka), So he is very beneficial. He is beneficial in 11th house (Laabha; gains). Mars and his period (1991—98) are 81% beneficial to him. Jupiter is exalted and is in birth lagna; besides a strong Gaja-kesari yoga is present. So the period of Guru (2016—32) shall be 95% beneficial to him. According to this sloka / Suthra, the period of Rahu (1998—2016) in between these two periods must also be beneficial to him.
