RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY. Part—67 (Mar—7--2009) Kusuma Yoga Rule :-- If Jupiter is in Lagna, the Moon in the 7th and the Sun is in the 8th from the Moon, Kusuma Yoga is formed. Effect :— The person can be a King or equal to a King. He protects his kith and kin. He shall be a founder of a town or a headman, and possesses good reputation. Example : 1 :-- In this chart Jupiter is in Cancer (birth-lagna) and is exalted. Moon is in 7th house from Jupiter in Capricorn forming strong Gaja-kesari yoga and also Vasi yoga. Sun is in Leo (his own house) forming strong Budha-Aditya yoga in 2nd house (Dhana sthana from Lagna) and is in 8th house from Moon (Indu-lagna). This causes Kusuma yoga. This person was elecgted as a Municipal Chairman for 10 years (two terms). Thus he ruled the town as its head-man. He helped his kith and kin; je provided them good jobs in Muncipal Office; they were, of course, well-qualfied and worked efficiently. He earned good reputation as a good administrator and implemented many development schemes.

Example : 2 :-- In this chart Jupiter is in Sagittarius (own house; moola-trikona) in birth lagna. Moon (waxing) is in Gemini (7th house) forming strong Gaja Kesari yoga. Sun is in 8th house from Moon and in 2nd house (Dhana) from lagna, forming Budha Aditya yoga. She enjoyed all the benefits of Kusuma yoga.

Jupiter is in birth-lagna; the Moon is in 7th house (exalted) causing strong Gaja=kesari yoga; the Sun is in 2nd house. In this chart, all the three planets that formed Kusuma yoga are subject to mal-effects (evil influences). Moon is conjunct with Ketu. Jupiter is conjunct with Rahu.
