RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY. Part—65 Mar—6--2009)
Kalanidhi Yoga
Rule :- If Jupiter is conjunct with or aspected by Mercury and Venus either in the 2nd or in the 5th house and if Jupiter occupies the 2nd or 5th house and also the own house of (swakshetra) of Mercury or Venus, Kalanidhi (Treasure of arts and learning) yoga occurs.
Effects :-- The person is highly passionate, good-natured and is revered by kings (rulers), He commands different kinds of conveyances and all sorts of royal comforts. He is immune from disease.
My observations :— Kalanidhi Yoga arises not so much by the disposition of Jupiter with Mercury or Venus in their own houses merely. The conjunction of Mercury, Jupiter and Venus in the 2nd (Dhana and family) or 5th (Sri Mahalakshmi sthana) is highly beneficial and causes a powerful Raja yoga. Moreover, when Kalanidhi Yoga is really powerful, the person enjoys alternate periods of adversity and prosperity.
This is a strong Raja Yoga because of the conjunction of three benefics in the house of wealth or fortune. I also observed in my 45 years of experience as practicing astrologer that Kalanidhi Yoga can result if Jupiter is conjuct either with Mercury or with Venus or with both Mercury and Venus not only in the 2nd and the 5th houses but also in the 9th house (Bhagya; fortune, luck and wealth). Example : 1 :--
(6) | Aries | Saturn | Sun Mercury Jupiter Venus |
Ketu | BHAVA Sankaran | Moon Mars | |
(4) | Rahu | ||
(3) | (2) | Lagna | Gul |
This person (Sankaran) has Mercury in his own house Gemini; Mercury is conjunct with Sun; this is strong Budha-Aditya yoga; this occurred in 9th house (Bhagya; Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana). So he rises to good financial prosperity. He has strong Kalanidhi yoga. Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are conjuct in Gemini, the 9th house (Bhagya; fortune) and also the own house for Mercury. Moon and Mars are conjunct in 10th house (Kendra; Sri Naryana sthana); Moon is in his own house (Cancer); this is srong Chandra-Mangla yoga. Chandra-Jeeva samayoge, Chandra-Mangala yogamuchyathe; tha-ubhau paripoorna-yoga-kaaraku; thath dvaya paaka kaaleshu paripoorna sukhapradau a raja-yoga and is highly beneficial. Besides the dhanaa-karakas (significators of wealth), the planets Moon, Venus and Jupiter also become significators of financial prosperity together with the Sun and Saturn. Coming from an average middle-class family, this person acquired good position as a general manager in a production unit and earned large sums of money in the dasa of Venus. Venus is strong and non-afflicted. The lord of the tenth house (Cancer) is Moon and is well placed and associated closely with Mars, the planet ruling factories. The planets the Sun (though weak) and Jupiter are well placed. The fifth house lord, Saturn, closely aspects (3rd drushti) and promotes both the Moon and Mars. Jupiter blessed the native with good initiative and drive and its placement in the house of fortune (9th house) made the native a self-made successful professional. The Sun, though weak, as the lord of eleventh house, in the house of fortune (Bhagya; 9th) near the most effective point of the ninth house, bestowed gains through highly placed friends. Example : 2 :-- This person (Madhava) has Kalanidhi yoga. Mercury and Venus are in 5th house (Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana). Venus is in his own house (also moola-trikona) in Libra. Jupiter aspects (9th drushti) Mercury and Venus is very beneficial. Jupiter also aspects (5th drushti) birth-lagna (Gemini) is beneficial.
