RAJA YOGAS IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY.
Siva Yoga Part—75 (Mar—15--2009)
Rule :— If the lord of the 5th house is in the 9th house, and the lord of the 9th house is in the 10th house and the lord of the 10th house is in the 5th house, Siva Yoga is formed.
Effects :—The person will be a flourishing trader. He may be a conqueror and commander of armies. Or He may possess divine wisdom and leads a virtuous life. Remarks.—The positions of planets seems to be simple but it is full of significance.
The 5th house and 9th house are powerful trikonas (trines; Sri Maha Lakshmi sthanas). The 10th house is a powerful Kendra (quadrant; Sri Narayana sthana).
Disposition of the lords of these three in a particular order as enunciated in this combination strengthens the houses of fortune (Bhagya) and actions / profession (Karma) so that the person is benefited in terms of fortune, trade / business , and posseses philosophical knowledge. He indulges in religious and auspicious activities.
In estimating the strength of this yoga, due consideration should be given to the mutual relations of the lords of the 9th , 5th and 10thhouses.
For example, let us consider Mesha (Aries) as birth-lagna.

Siva Yoga can be caused by the presence of the lord of 5th house, Leo, Sun stays in the 9th house (Dhanasu) , and Saturn in the 10th house (Capricorn, his own house) or in the 5th house (Leo), Because of the ownership of the two adjoining houses (Capricorn and Aquarius) the 10th (Karma)and 11th (Profits; gains) by Saturn, the yoga is fortified.
If the Sun occupies the 9th house (friend’s house), and Saturn in the 10th house (own house), a stronger Siva yoga is formed than the Sun and Saturn exchanging their houses.

In the second case while Siva Yoga is caused by the Sun (lord of the 5th) occupying the 10th (a house of Saturn) and Saturn (lord of the 10th ) occupying the 5th owned by Sun (Sri Maha Lakshmi sthana). Both the planets Sun and Saturn are such bitter enemies that the combination, though on account of Parivarthana between the lords of 5th and 10th houses, Siva Yoga is generated; but the yoga is full of malefic effects (evil results).

In the example 3; Libra is birth-lagna; the 5th house is Aquarius and its lord Saturn is in 9th house (Gemini). Lord of 9th house (Mercury) is in 10th house (Cancer) and its lord is Moon. Saturn and Mercury are friends. Mercury is a friend of Moon. Also conjunction of Sun and Mercury in 10th house forms a beneficial Budha-Aditya yoga causing huge gains in business.
