How to find Compatibility in Horoscopes for marriage.

Today (July—29—2008) I explain how to examine horoscopes of bride and groom for compatibility for marriage. Apart from checking of both horoscopes of bride and groom for matching, the astrologer must also examine the horoscopes of bride and groom carefully to get information about his / her character, attitude to life, and other aspects like

Part--1

* whether he / she will get children. Important points to be checked are

* whtether his / her horoscope is likely to promote longevity of the spouse.

* her own longevity

* whether he / she will be faithful to life-partner (­without Jaratva-dosha = no adultery / prostitute qualities)

* whether he / she will get good children

* whether their married life will be harmonious and successful

The important points to be examined are listed below

1) Check the 7th, 8th and 5th house and position and lagnam in his/ her horoscope.7th house is known as 'kalathra sthanam'. It denotes the family and sex life of wife and husband. This house should be occupied by good planets or should be aspected (drushti) by good planets. If this house is occupied by Sani or Rahu or Kethu, one should better abandon proceeding with this alliance. If the 7th or 8th house is occupied by Mars, the horoscope has got strong Kuja 'Dosham' (Mars’ malefic effect). Both the horoscopes should have matching Kuja dosham. Otherwise the marriage will not be successful. 8th house denotes his / her and her husband's longevity. So it should be occupied or aspected by good planets. 5th and 9th house denote the prospects of getting children. If these are aspected by Guru(Jupitar), then the bride would definitely get children. If this house is occupied or aspected by Rahu/Kethu or Sani(Saturn), the chances of getting children diminishes

2) Lagnam denotes his / her health, character and habits. It also indicates the colour of skin. So Lagnam should be occupied or aspected by good planets. It would be good if it is occupied by its lord or friend or well-disposed Jupiter or Venus.

3) Rasi : Bride / Groom’s Rasi should not be 6^th or 8^th from the other person’s rasi (or Indu-lagnam), which is known as 'Shasta-ashtakam'. There is a strongly held view that with this malefic effect they will constantly quarrel with spouse on small matters. If bride / groom’s Rasi is located on the 7th house from others rasi, it is known as 'Samasapthakam'. In this case, they will have a very happy and successful married life.

The position of Sukra(Venus), who is known as 'kalathrakaraka'(significator of spouse and married life), should be checked. If it is in 7th house, the horoscope has 'Sukra' dosha (malefic Venus). Sukra dosha causes mental stress and lack of peace and amiability in married life. It may also cause financial probelms, which make married life a hell. Example:4:--The placement of the lord of the lagna in the 7^th house will either deny marriage or will create aversion to marriage and will give unhappiness in this regard. The lord of birth lagna (Leo) is in 7^th house. So he had strong aversion to marriage. He declined to marry for 5 years. He approached an enlightened and well-educated Swamiji to give him Sanyasa deeksha (renunciation of worldly and family wife). Swamiji examined his horoscope and advised strongly to get married. Moon is in lagnam and Jupiter is in 7^th house is strong Gaja-kesari yoga, connecting birth & Kalthra houses. Also Sun, Mercury conjunction is Budha-Adhitya yoga in kalathra (7^th house). Due to these two strong yogas, he got married late, overcoming all hindrances. Even now he expresses his keen desire to take the Sanyasa-deeksha and forsake worldly life, due to malefic effect of lagna-lord, Sun, in 7^th house.

CAUSES FOR DELAYS IN MARRIAGES

“Marriages are made in heaven” is an old dictum and many believe it. But due to changed times, mixing of various culture, moral values and changes in human outlook and attitudes, marriages also have changed. Part : 1.

Maladies pertaining to marriages may be classified into the following cateagories :

1) Delay or denial of marriage 2) Absence of conjugal bliss.

3) Loss of life partner 4) Seperation or divorce.

We have to consider the following aspects in the birth chart of the person and find the causes.

(1) If the Sun and Moon stay in the sign and constellation of Saturn the marriage is delayed. (2) If Saturn conjuncts with Venus or Rahu or Mercury in 7^th house marriage gets delayed appreciably. (3) If both Sun and Moon stay in the navamsa of Saturn, and Venus has also the influence of Saturn in Navamsa, there will be many obstructions to have marriage. (4) If the lagna and the 7^th house or their lords or Venus are positioned between Saturn and Sun, marriage will be delayed. (5) If the Sun and Saturn are adversely posited in the lagna or the 7^th house or vice versa, the marriage will be delayed for many years; marriage may be denied if both planets Sun and Saturn are at in mutually 7^th house . Same type of delay occurs if Saturn and Moon are conjunct or stay in mutually 7^th houses. Then the chance for absolute denial of marriage is less. (6) Sun and Moon are enemies of Venus. If Venus occupies any of the sign of Cancer or Leo and that is flanked on both sides by the Sun and the Moon, the marriage will have many obstructios. If Venus is in Gemini, Leo, Virgo, Libra and Aquarius except Libra and closely conjunct with malefic (within 5* on either side), there will be severe problems in the settlement of marriage. Today (July—24—2008) I explain the effect of Venus (Sukra) in 12^th house (vyyam). The 12^th house is malefic and it sgnifies losses, expenditure, squandering money, destruction, bad deeds, drinking alcohol beverages, and hell. Jataka Marthanda (sloka) : SUKRO VYAYE, SHTRI-VASAGO, DHANAANI; DATHVAMUHU KHEDATHI, DEENA-VRUTHI, DHANA-ARJANE-CHAAPYA-ADHIKAMCHA-YATHNAM, BHANGAM SAMA-APNOTHI NARA, SA-ROGAHA = If Sukra is in 12th house, the person is a slave to women (bosses); surrenders all his riches and properties to those women. He suffers misery and poverty. Profession of a servant / slave. He has insatiable desire for money. He tries hard to grab money by fou menas. But failos miserably. His wife’s health is bad; she suffers misery. His health is also bad. He suffers due to diseases.

He is spiritual and devotee of God. If Ketu is in lagnam or vyayam (12^th ) or in dhanam (2^nd) the person will be a devotee of God. In this chart, the lagna-lord is Mars is in 2^nd house (good house); Ketu is in lagnam; Jupiter aspects (5^th) lagnam; Venus is a benefic and is exalted in vyayam (12^th ); he spends lavishly for good puposes and charities. Jupiter is lord of vyayam and is in 9^th house (konam), in his own house. So this person is a great devotee of God; philosophical in outlook and renowned as a worthy person.

He she has scanty fmily life and happiness. This is the horoscope of a Brahmin lady who earned a M,D. degree in Medicine from highly reputed University in U.S.A. She was born in East U.S.A. in a relgious Hindu family. Venus is in 12^th house flanked by Rahu and Sun in Raasi chart.. Ketu is in lagnam, Rahu is in 7^th house and Sun and Gulika flank the lagnam in Nava Amsa. Due to these malefic effects, she faced many hindrances for marriage. She got married late at 33^rd year and to a very prosperous and rich person of different caste . He is stable-minded; very rich and prosperous (multi-miilionaire) very handsome, hale and healthy, sturdy, noble natured, generous, and charitable. He is brave, courageous and takes firm decisions. 1) The lord of lagnam is Venus and he is in 10^th house; the lord of 10^th house is Saturn and is in lagnam. This is two maha-raja-yogas combined. .

2) Venus is in his friend’s house in Rajya house. So he is very generous and good natured and treats his wife and children with utmost love, care and dedication. Saturn aspects (10^th) Venus; due to this malefic effect he got a wife of dark complexion, short-temper and she treats him as her servant. He is meek and mild to her.
